Hi Lavellester,
Yes, They are using both of them.
Hi All,
Client of mine using reversed Meta Tags format in their website and Honestly i never saw such Meta Tags formats.
In my opinion having 2 Title tags and wrong reversed description tag is not correct and the needs to be removed, and other tags need to be changed, too
But they said that it probably doesn't make a difference because weird thing is Search Engines are apparently able to index them ,So they don't think it affects search engine results and won't remove it just based on opinion.
So should i persist in correcting them or just hope for the best and ignore it?!?!?!
Thanks!

I think is only Big Brother Google just for now.
If it is same server, same speed and only C-class IP change, i don't think it will matter that much.Once we did change ip address and nothing gone up and down.
But whole different IP address from another geo-location would definitely matter, in terms of ranking, localization , re-indexing and stuff.
Well that is my understanding.
Dear All,
I am facing stupid duplicate page issue, My whole site is in dynamic script and all the URLs were in dynamic, So i 've asked my programmer make the URLs user friendly using URL Rewrite, but he converted aspx pages to htm.
And the whole mess begun. Now we have 3 different URLs for single page.
Such as:
http://www.site.com/city-tour/multi-day-city-tours/page4-0.htm
I think my programmer messed up the URL Rewrite in ASP.net(Nginx) or even didn't use it.
So how do i overcome this problem? Should i add canonical tag in both dynamic URLs with pointing to pag4-0.htm. Will it help?
Thanks!
Guys,
I was just wondering what is the current up-to-date resolution for HTTP and HTTPS,
One of my client needs SSL for transaction, and they only need single page to be encrypted(SSLed) ,
So should I Force SSL that page only and direct entire HTTPS pages to HTTP to avoid duplicate page issue, or would it considered cloaking.
It is been long time i did something similar, Or current Search Engines algo can handle it by themselves and i should just leave it .
Thanks!
I was wondering, Is there any value in these days to advice clients to create LINK US or LINKS page with bunch of reciprocal links on it and solely for link exchange, I remember reading somewhere that, it is little useless in terms for ranking nowadays?
Am I right? Thanks!
Hi Guys,
How much interlinking is okay for between pages? Can i start link my internal pages like Wikipedia does? 20,30 interlink per page?
OR is it all depends on Page Authority? Can i go inter-link crazy on 1 year old legitimate site?
Big Thanks?
Dear All,
I am kinda of stuck and need your helps, I have major client's site which is located in subdirectory.
Instance: http://www.majorclient.com.cn/cn/ and as you can see domain name is already localized and they are not planning to make any english version of the site,
So there will be no /eng/ folder but clients whole website is /cn/ subdirectory which is totally unnecessary and i would like to 301 whole site to **http://www.majorclient.com.cn **
But the problem is that this site has been /cn/ folder forever since the beginning and lot of trusted links are pointing to www.majorclient.com.cn/cn/
So should i move it or just configure 301 www.majorclient.com.cn to www.majorclient.com.cn/cn/ leave it there and don't bother.
Help?
Tom,
Thanks for the response, Yes, It is the best way to discover the products. So i believe noindex, follow is better ,too
Just needed second person to confirm ,
But i was wondering why Matt Cutts blog is using all 2 of them together?
Instance:
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/page/3/
I believe Google doesn't want to index and show other search result pages in there SERP.
So instead of adding "noindex, follow" tag i have changed the url in my search result page like this:
Original
http://www.mysite.com/kb-search.aspx?=travelguide&type=wiki&s=3
To
http://www.mysite.com/travelguide/attraction-guide.html
And the search result page contains the title of the articles, a short descriptions (300 chars.) and a link to the articles.
Does it help? Or should i add noindex, follow tag?
Helps Please?
I am having pagination problem with one of my clients site , So I am deciding to use noindex, follow tag for the Page 2,3,4 etc for not to have duplicated content issue, Because obviously SEOMoz Crawl Diagnostics showing me lot of duplicate page contents.
And past 2 days i was in constant battle whether to use noindex, follow tag or rel=canonical tag for the Page 2,3,4 and after going through all the Q&A,None of them gives me crystal clear answer.
So i thought "Why can't i use 2 of them together in one page"?
Because I think (correct me if i am wrong)
1.noindex, follow is old and traditional way to battle with dup contents
2.rel=canonical is new way to battle with dup contents
Reason to use 2 of them together is:
Bot finds to the non-canonical page first and looks at the tag nofollow, index and he knows not to index that page, meantime he finds out that canonical url is something something according to the url given in the tag,NO?
Help Please???
Almost all Wordpress pagination plugins' add "noindex, follow" to page 2,3,4
So Maybe it's better than rel=canonical , Let me just try!
