are you getting any messages from google web masters.

Wordpress is just a tool, google only effects sites which has spammy content, links etc... I have had sites increase page rank instantly when swapping from a static html site.

My site is HTML but my Blog/news section is in Wordpress I set the sub directory as Blog. As soon as I can spare some time my site will be migrated to Wordpress.

Spammers only use wordpress as its simple and easy to use.

Always take a deposit and also get them to sign a contract outlining what your going to provide and what you expect from them.  It then stops any issues over service levels and also it makes sure you get paid.

I always get 50% upfront for once of projects and then first payment upfront for any monthly work.

Contracts are the key and also your terms and conditions are key.

other than google web masters and a plummet it visitors and ranking positions,are there any tools out there to check for possible google penguin and panda penalties??

at a quick glance it looks like a possibly been hit by a penguin update.  The word gastric band is in every paragraph which could seem spammy.  Possibly remove DM few or do rel no follow.

i have only briefly looked.

I am trying to find a site which can help drive more traffic to my blog.  At the moment I am only getting traffic from social media (namely twitter) but all other sources are failing me.  Does anyone recommend a good site to either help with traffic or is able to ping out posts regularly. (even old ones.)

Hi I would have as standard Wordpress SEO by Yoast Post categories to page categories Auto chimp

I personally would swap to Wordpress, you will have better scope and development and SEO is easier. It would be easier to buy your own domain and find a host with Wordpress instant installer .

I am trying to establish why my main pages on my site has a PR2 but my Blog is PR0. Even though the traffic is spread between the blog and the main site.  I also want to get to PR3 but I seem to never get close...

Any advise would be very much appreciated...

Someone hacked a clients twitter account and changed BOIS. I can find on google the hacked BOIS listing. How do I remove can this be scrubbed fom the search engines?

Thanks to both of you, I am going to look at some of the sites and then disavow.  I think a mass deletion could be the wrong step.

I have a lot of old directory links which where done years ago, most I think will be effecting my site. Is there away to find them all ie through open explorer and then remove them in one go?

I used a free test many months ago. It was pretty good but seomoz seems to be better. Just my personal view

That is actually an excellent approach, I have looked at two clients sites on as 50,000 links back to my hosting page and another has 35,000 back to my design page. The link is within the footer of everypage. (one site has news items updating every 30mins so that's why the numbers are so high) I can easily change the footers to no follow and then ask if I can put a little sentence into the about page on there site saying thanks to me creating the site. I can implement this change on the big site instantly as they allow me to do what I want to the site:o) Excited to see if this makes a difference now thanks

That's a sound solution , I ve been adding to the footer. Possible get them to write review on google places reviews. Think need to change my approach. Cheers Takeshi

Hi My core service is web design and development. I often place a credit on my clients websites pointing them back to my web design or web development pages. Is this a wise practice with penguin and panda updates? Would this also pull my ranking down?

If I use the google disavow some of these links? would that be enough?

I have noticed on webmaster that I have a lot of links to my sites from link building directories.  Either I did this many years a go or somehow they've linked to me.

Would links to link building directories harm my site?

I have quite a few and just wondering what to do with them.  Also I have some customer sites which are massive one site has 38,000 links coming to my site as I have put a credit that I built the site with a link back to mine.  It has a low score in Google would this also harm my site?

Humm, ok I think the other tool is possibly working off cookies. The link profile is growing I am concentrating on good content first.
