I am helping out Bentinho Massaro, a spiritual figure from Holland, for free since he is such a good guy.

I want to give him 3 to 4 keywords for his home page title tag. That's all he has time for.

2. Bentinho Massaro

The reason for #2 is that he is getting more and more famous.

Any help you can come with to give him 4 options would be great.

I'm having trouble coming up with a proper twitter background. I'm just going to start with a simple solid green with branding info in the top left.

Do you guys know of an article that gives me the exact dimensions and placement to put things as far as where to put my logo and name in the background image and how wide and tall to make my logo and name.

Or you can just tell me, but an article would be fine. The articles I've read are not consistent.

How many words should be in a blog post for it to be optimal for the search engines? If it varies from industry to industry, please give a couple of examples.

There's no resource content in the niche (looking at OSE Top Content) that has attracted backlinks (on any sites)

The strongest site in our industry (according to domain authority and excluding wikipedia) said that they would put a sitewide link to us in their footer. We're good friends with them.

It would be right next to the copyright.

Our site is nlpca (dot) com

The partner site is nlpu (dot) com

The link will say something like "More NLP Training" with the "NLP" as the link. We're targeting the keyword "NLP"

How much will this move us up for the keyword "NLP"? Right now we're on the 3rd page for that term.

I also want to make sure that it's a white hat move.

Will taking "California" out of the title tag change the local traffic at all? Some of our strongest terms we're ranking for on the home page include the word "California". You already said it should be fine, but could you tell me a little more about how it works so that I can be more knowledgable here.

Just so that you know, we have sitelinks for "NLP California". I attached a photo.

Since we won't be holding all of the trainings in the SLC location for at least a year, it's best if the California SEO is not weakened.

Currently the California bias is in

1. The header graphic - we can change it to say the NLP and Coaching Institute

2. meta description of the home page - We can add "Utah" to the meta description.

3. title tag - I think we'll change the first keyword to be "NLP California Utah" in the title tag. We can't leave it as just "California" because the tabs in some browsers say what the title tags are. I know that weakens the title a bit, but may have to do. Your thoughts?

4. left and right banners have events mostly in California - this will even out as we have more SLC trainings. The SLC location is brand new.

5. The training pages all have right banners discussing California Dates. This will change as we add in more SLC trainings.

6. The "ca" in nlpca.com. I don't know what to do about that one. The owners aren't going to want to change the name unless it was very good, and I can't think of anything that fits them. Hopefully we'll be OK without changing this one.

Here's my revised link building plan for

Let me know if I'm off or missing anything.

1)Identify a list of competitors that are strong enough to have good backlinks (probably about 15 in our industry

2. Look at top content for top competitors and see what type of content is being linked to.

3. build infographics for each area we want to target based on top content

4. Using OSE, analyze competitor backlinks and decide which sites might link to the infographics and which sites might just link to us if we asked them (our site is already an authority). In this step we would also expand the backlink analysis to include sites on pages 4-8

Only choose link aquisition for sites based on the following criteria:

Age

A lot of unique content

A clean site

Backlinks going to that site

Facebook followers

Which of course means high search engine rankings

5. Publish infographics and do outreach

I've spoke to the owners. Maybe we should do a SLC landing page for now and take "California" out of the header

Then, as the location moves farther along, we can look at a second website using the same design to target Utah alone. I bought the domain you suggested in case we need it.

Does that sound like a good plan?

When people call about the trainings, it's probably answered by someone in SLC but they don't say anything about their location. There's just one office and it's always been in Salt Lake City although there are some people answering phones in virtual offices in California. About 70% of most of our NLP trainings are local people, with 30% out of state and international
