If it's the bounce rate and not the website or landing page visits, then it's your content. You need to rewrite or reword your content so it's more engaging and interesting. Structure it so the most important, interesting information is in the first paragraph, but leaving them wanting more. You should also be making sure that each one of your Facebook posts accurately describes what's on the page. If you feel like you have to jazz up the description on Facebook, chances are the copy itself won't keep anyone's attention.

RE: How does Google treat Content hidden in click-to-expand tabs?
To add on to Andy's advice, imagine yourself using a website--are you more likely to engage in something that has a wall of text or do you prefer to see something that you can interact with as necessary? I'd recommend using your most important keywords in the h2s and using the expandable content areas for UX. That way, you're getting the best of both worlds.

RE: Can adding "noindex" help with quality penalizations?
Hi Fabrizo,
I agree with Andy's response up above. No indexing is not as good as removing the content from the website altogether, but it still can work as long as there are no links or sitemaps that lead Google back to the low quality content.
No indexing the pages won't be a permanent solution, only a temporary one that might help you in the meantime.

RE: Mazbar returns no data. I am loged in but tool bar keeps asking me to login. No data provided by toolbar...pleas help
Hi John!
This seems to be a common issue with the Moz bar. Are you still experiencing the same problem? If so, I suggest reaching out to Moz support: https://moz.com/about/contact

RE: What crawler do you recommend for finding orphaned pages on a website?
Hi there!
i agree with Patrick. I was going to recommend using Screaming Frog or Google Search Console! Let me know if you try these, don't like them, and need another recommendation.

RE: Domain Name Migation + HTTPS?
Hi ThreeShips!
I agree with Vetty. If migrating to a new domain AND to HTTPs, I would recommend doing this in phases. It's the safest way to do this without causing a major problem with the site. If something with the migration were to go wrong, it will be much easier to spot and correct the problem than if you did both migrations at the same time.

RE: How to find a list of pages with missing H1 tags
Hi Lepra!
Like ViviCa1 recommended, I suggest using Screaming Frog to pull down this data. Along with pulling down a list of your missing H1s, you can see the webpages that might have more than one H1 (which will also negatively impact your SEO)!
I highly recommened giving Screaming Frog a try. You can download it here: https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/
As it was mentioned, if your website has less than 500 URLs you can pull a free Screaming Frog report. If you aren't sure how many pages your website has, you can do a quick check to see how many Google has indexed. In order to check this you can go to Google and search "site:" and then the URL minus the www. (i.e. site:bluecorona.com). This will tell Google to ONLY show pages from this website, thus showing you the number. If it is less than 500, go ahead and use Screaming Frog to pull that report down.
Good luck!

RE: I have a Wordpress site that ranks well and a blog (uses blogger) with slightly different URL/domain that also ranks decently. Should I combine the 2 under the website domain or keep both?
I agree with David that you should combine them onto one site (the main site), and build off from there. It will be easier to build up the domain authority on one website instead of trying to do it with two different URLs.

RE: This my site i want rank in doubi any advice for me
Hi there!
Here are some suggestions to get your company ranking on page one AND outranking the competition:
- Local SEO - I know you know how information this is, but don't push this to the back burner. Get your local citations as tight and consistent as they can possibly be.
- Content - This is an obvious one, but continue creating new and unique content for your website! Make sure you are generating content that is helpful for users and proves that you are THE authority in the area. The more direct your responses, the more likely you are to rank—and maybe even land a Google direct answers spot!
- Videos - Google likes to display a wide variety of media in its search results—including videos. A video is 60 percent more likely to get ranked in a search result than a landing page on the same topic.
- Images - Optimizing the images on your site can help you get on the first page of Google when it displays image results.
- Microsites - A microsite (sometimes called a minisite) is a website used to supplement a company or organization’s primary domain. More often than not, the microsite will have a URL distinct of the primary domain and has its own unique design and navigation. Microsites can help you target different buyer personas, appear more relevant and authoritative, as well as get multiple listings in organic search results.
- News - Putting press releases out for your business can potentially score you a spot in the News section of Google, particularly for branded terms.
We wrote a blog about getting your business on the first page of Google, so be sure to read that for more in depth information than I shared above!
Let me know if you have any other questions—hope this helped!

RE: Content Below the Fold
Hi Becky,
Here is what I found:
The pros and cons of hiding content using JavaScript and CSS (display: none) has been a topic of some debate within the SEO industry, and Google’s comments over time have somewhat added to the confusion.
- **November 2014 **– Google’s John Mueller stated that Google _“may not” _index or rank hidden content. In aGoogle+ Hangout the following month, John repeated this, stating that hidden content would be _“discounted”_and has been for a number of years
- **21 July 2015 **– Google’s Gary Illyes, contributing to a Stack Overflow forum thread , provided clarification of this by stating that this type of content is given “way less weight in ranking”
- **27 July 2015 **– In a separate Stack Overflow thread on the same topic, Gary Illyes again confirmed that _“[Google] will index that but the content’s weight will be lower since it’s hidden” _
So the content will still be indexed, but deemed less important by the crawlers.

RE: Not sure where this url has come from
Hi! Like Tawny said, without looking at the crawl report or knowing the URL you were crawling it can be hard to determine exactly where this URL came from.
If you want to share the URL info I would be more than happy to help you determine the root of the problem. This is definitely something you should look at thoroughly though in case your website has been hacked.
Thanks!

RE: Links to Your Site: No Data Available in Google Search Console
Hi There!
This is certainly strange that Google Search Console is not showing your backlinks.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Google's crawlers don't go out searching for your backlinks. If it happens to find one then it will include it in your overview on GSC
- Backlinks from more popular pages with more authority will be found more easily by Google's crawlers
If you are still having issues with this then I would suggest going to Google directly! Use this link to get help directly from Google: https://support.google.com/webmasters/troubleshooter/2483183
Hope this helps!

RE: Right hand side Google Local profile image pulling from 3rd party site
Hi ati1!
Google will sometimes take a few weeks to repopulate those images. I would keep checking back in periodically to see if changes have been made. If not, I suggest adding a few more photos and making sure all of them have captions, etc.
Hope this helps!

RE: Why does some sites rank with no seo
Hello Cooper!
I would say that domain age could really be impacting this, but that does seem a little unlikely to be the only reason why your website is performing poorly compared to this competitor. I recommend going through GSC to see if there are any messages or anything that indicates your website might have a penalty lingering somewhere.
If you want to share the links to the websites I would be happy to take a deeper look into the problem.

RE: Page title not being read
Hmm, that is weird that they are not showing up. I would try submitting the URL into Google's URL submitter: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url
Hopefully by doing this, Google (and Moz) will index the correct title tags so when you use the Moz Page Grader it pulls the most accurate information.
Hope this helps!

RE: How do I mprove site visibility and keyword ranking for new product site
Hi Sharon!
First, I wanted to say that I love the website—the graphics are awesome. I would start by ensuring that any issues on the site are addressed, even if they aren't high priority issues. You want to make sure everything is as tight as possible to ensure you are giving your website the best chance possible to rank.
Since your website is new, the domain age is going to be very young which will definitely impact your domain authority. In order to combat this, spend time building backlinks to your website (like Bernadette mentioned). Links to your site from other web sites are treated like votes or referrals. But it's not all about the quantity of backlinks, but the quality. Don't stress that you don't have many yet—but focus on building quality backlinks to your site.
Here are some of the more common link acquisition strategies:
- Placing your links on websites that the SEO company owns
- Asking other websites to link to you on your behalf
- Listing your website in free online directories – many include a free link with signup
- Adding comments to blogs and including a link in the comment
- Participating in social media groups (like LinkedIn) and including links in posts or within comments
These are just some of the ways that SEO companies acquire links—in reality, the list goes on and on. The important point is that inbound links and backlinks refer to the same thing—they are links from someone else’s website back to yours. (Note: The relatively uncommon strategy for acquiring links, but the ONLY strategy wholeheartedly recommended by Blue Corona, is to create remarkable onsite content and promote it to relevant and authoritative sites—although, often times they find it on their own!)
Continue creating value content, whether it be blogs, press releases, infographics, videos, etc. that people will want to link to! Hope this helps get you started.

RE: Boosting Equity-Passing Links?
It sounds like your competitors may be taking advantage of spammy link-building practices! You can use the Moz Open Site Explorer (https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/) to compare your SEO client's off-site authority to their competitors' off-site authority. This tool will give you insights into the domain authority, page authority, how many total inbound links the site has from how many domains, as well as page social metrics.
This tool is extremely helpful when you're concerned about boosting equity-passing links, as it gives you an insider look at where your competitors are being linked from, so you can learn whether they're being linked from valid sources or spammy ones (Open Site Explorer shows you the spam score of each site that links to you).
Hope this helps!
