Crawl Diagnostics - 350 Critical errors? But I used rel-canonical links
Hi Patrick, That is super useful and thank you. I have read up as suggested on MOZ and Webmaster tools and you are bang on - absolute over relative urls to be used in canonicals. I will ask our developers to fix. I wonder whether MOZ will ignore this as an error in its crawl diagnostics thereafter? Ben

Google Keyword Planner - Just PPC?
That's really very useful, thank you Matt. I have also been recommended termexplorer.com and keywordeye.com - I guess a lot of this is personal preference. I think I now have a clearer idea on the 3 or 4 tools I want to concentrate on using for my keyword research. For someone fairly new to SEO it can be confusing as there are so many tools out there. But certainly MOZ, SEMrush, Ubersuggest come up time and time again, and so I think this is where I will concentrate. Ben

Mobile SERPs
Thank you Jonathan, I had read some articles on this "significant" change. My current website is NOT mobile responsive, however we are launching a new fully responsive website in mid-May so hopefully we will not fall of mobile SERPs for too long.

Back links off the back of a paid sponsorship deal
Hi Ben, Sponsoring events is a great link building tactic. As the link will come as a side-effect of the sponsorship rather than from direct payment, Google will not penalise you for this. Imagine the reverse - companies would be far less likely to sponsor events, support charities etc if Google were to start penalising them. Here are a few posts you can look to for reassurance: http://moz.com/blog/5-link-building-tactics-to-improve-your-local-rankings http://www.wordtracker.com/blog/33-seo-experts-share-their-most-effective-link-building-strategies http://searchenginewatch.com/sew/how-to/2064922/131-legitimate-link-building-strategies

Domain Authority dropped by 9!
Thank you for your response Sean, our domain is nuffieldhealth.com. I will email help@moz.com with full details. We have a number of broken links, duplicate page titles etc which we are aware of and are working through, however these are not new problems to our site - and also our tracked competitors DA slipped to a similar extent. Many thanks for the reply Ben

OpenSite Explorer
Martin, Thank you for the reply, that sounds great. It seemed like the most recent index came a few weeks early (was listed as Oct 1st) and the next one is scheduled about a month out which seems like forever when you're trying to see what progress you've made, but as you mentioned, it is a ton of data to sort through on your end so definitely understand the challenges. Will be great if the next update allows for index updates on a more frequent basis and additional insights, definitely looking forward to it. Thanks again. Kyle
