There is no problem with putting the +1 on any page on your site people might want to share or 'vouch' for on Google+. If it's easiest to add it to all of your pages, that's fine too. I like removing social buttons from pages that aren't likely to get shared, simply to improve page speed.

No, there is no concern over speed of +1s as long as they are legit. A popular blog post may easily get 100-200 +1s in a day.

It sounds like you already have a G+ community and are trying to build it more. That is a good thing and something Google wants as well. As long as you aren't trying to fake/game anything, go for it.

I would not recommend changing URL structure unless you have a very good reason to do so. Worrying about kw density on a decently readable, nice URL should not be reason to recommend a total URL rewrite.

Start building links the day you publish. The "I just published this today" angle is part of what can make a pitch relevant, especially if you are pitching industry/news type sites that want to "break the story" on a bigger scale.

Here is my take:

#1 - In general, these domains are immune to spammy links. I've seen numerous pages on Facebook, YouTube videos, LinkedIn Pages rank for highly competitive terms from a massive, 100% backlink profile. The main reason people do this is because it is no risk to their own site. These pages are another clear example that Google doesn't have a great ability to "ignore or devalue" spam links, instead using the threat of penalty to scare website owners away from performing this linking techniques on their own site.

#2 - I'd say this would not cause a problem for your website linked from the social profile (usually a nofollow link), but I wouldn't recommend doing it either. Even if you have a highly ranked Facebook page for a good term, I'd bet the amount of traffic you funnel through there from the search engines to a conversion page is minimal. Could it cause a problem down the road or during a manual review? Perhaps.

Yes, you absolutely can redirect this link. However I think your time would be better spent focusing on a solution that prevents this from happening long term. You will continually have to redirect new content as long as this continues to work as is.

My one recommendation: You almost can't tell how awesome it's going to be by the first page. The 'Start Now' button is going to be your biggest hurdle. Users don't know if it is worth starting.

I think if you started it on the second part Male/Female, Height/Weight you will get greater participation. It is more inviting because you immediately want to answer those questions to see the result.

I want to warn you to avoid just finding places that allow you to 'submit articles' even if they appear to have an established domain authority. A lot of these sites have been overrun with spam over the years and lost their ability to improve your site's authority. Not to mention they will send very little referral traffic.

Instead, you are going to want to focus on finding real websites where you can see visible signs of readership and interaction. Look for comments and social shares on current posts. Make a connection with the webmaster and eventually, pitch a guest blog post.

I hope these links help you out. You are on the right path to helping your website. You just have to be careful though, because sometimes the right path is very close to the wrong path.

Note: I'm not sure why you ended your question with (except blogs). Is there a particular reason you don't want to be published on other blogs?

The answer to this question will depend a bit on how you have your current blog post URL slug set up. If you are using domain.com/category/post-title-here and then change your categories, this will cause 404s (which you can fix by redirecting).

If you are using a domain.com/post-title-here or other option, you will be just fine to clean up, edit and alter your category and tags. I would suggest NoIndexing your tags. The decision of NoIndexing categories will depend on how you plan on using them.

If the site is only a few months old, I strongly suggest fixing this now and setting yourself up for better long term success.

I am not currently seeing this. I don't think you're crazy though, as I can definitely see google testing things like this out.

I failed to reproduce your results, but I tried a combination of searches like this:

All gave me national results. I was using Firefox. Location set to United States.

You need to make sure that your page goes above and beyond the content provided from your affiliate partner. What can you add to this page that will be unique and valuable to your visitors? What can you put on this page that will make it worthy of sharing socially or attracting links.

It's OK to have some duplicate content on your site in a case like this, but you also need to add as much value as possible to this page.

Since it's a travel site, get your hands on some unique photos, write your own mini-travel guide, and simply be creative. What would you want to see as a user on this page?

Sounds like you got a penalty. In that case, you definitely want to make an effort to remove as many as possible. Document the effort you put into it. How many sites you contact for removal and how many links you have successfully removed.

This data will likely help when you file a reconsideration request.

The main problem is, spammy links are a lot harder to remove than they are to acquire. Best of luck.

Is your content something that the Reddit audience would be interested in? If so, put effort into being a part of the community and help push some of your better pieces of content.

If you are only spending time on Reddit to attempt to get some link juice, I think you could put your time to better use to participating on other sites closer to your niche.

Use Reddit for the traffic and potential new customers/subscribers, not the link juice.

There are three basic ways to handle this.

1. 301 redirect all expired or old pages to the category or subcategory they belong to. This is a great method if the pages get some tweet, shares and external links pointed at them.

This method was endorsed a speaker at SES from CareerBuilder, who has a similar issue where job postings always expire.

2. Let all the pages 404 and remove them from your site.

3. Let most pages 404 and 301 selected pages that you know where popular to the category or subcategory page.

It depends a lot on the popularity of your site and on the technical capabilities you have. Good luck.

Try a stronger internal linking strategy. Make sure that category page is receives a link from your home page or from pages higher up than the item detail level. According to OSE, your site links to the individual product 10 times, while only linking to the category page 8 times. This may be sending google a message that the item is more important than the category.

Of course, a surefire way to make sure it ranks better is to build a few external links to that category page. See if 'Keep Calm and Carry' links to distributors of their products. Do some google searches for 'where to buy keep calm and carry' and other similar queries to find possible link targets. Find other distributors who sell those products and use OSE to see if there are any sites that point external links to them. Perhaps those sites would be willing to link to you as well.

In short. #1 Make sure the category is well linked internally with links near the home page. #2 Build Links to the higher pages.

I think the best way to comment on a blog is to make a useful point that furthers the discussion of the blog post. Use your real name as the anchor text. Link it to your 'About' page that features your bio. If you don't have an about page, consider linking it to your home page, twitter profile or your G+ profile.

If your comment is awesome, the blogger will figure out who you are and what your site it about. Then, they should realize that your site is also awesome and become a fan.

Comment to build relationships and advance discussions. Not to build links.

Also: the Mozbar is an easy way to check follow/nofollow links. Works in chrome and firefox. Although, I don't think you should let that sway you from making a comment. If you have something good to say, say it. If you don't, stay quiet on that post.
