What do we know about googles +1's, are they used as a signal? i noticed that they have some reports on them in google web master tools.

The link limit is 100 suggested by matt cutts.

But the more pages that you link from your home page and back to your home pge the better the home page will rank.

at that price i would not bother.

But paid and free directories are fine, it depends on their quality on how much good rthey do, but I can not see then doing harm.

As matt cuts said, if they are charging money to be reviewed then that is fine, in fact that is good, his advice was look for diirectories that are reviewed and those that do not link to anyone or accept everyone.

But unless you are part of some automated linking scheam youy will be fine

you mean a product name for each image, or all images on the page have the same alt text?

either would be better then none, but obviously better if they are unique.

I also dont think that same ip or same c-block is suuchh a worry.
i have my own servers with only one IP, and links from the same ip seem to work as well as any other.
Obviously if 90% of your links came from the same ip that would ring alarm bells.

Take discountasp for example, a very large hosting organization all on the same ip number.

They can do this stuff in english,, but i dont know how far they have got with stuff like this in other lingos

Duplicate content will not help you rank much, but it will not harm you either. Search engines will decide who to give credit for original content, the second page will not get credit but will not be harmed either.

Obviously others are giving different advice, but i would leave it, but i would think about how google sees the subdomain, is it obvioulsy part of the same site or not, is their plenty of linking

One example i have is where the root home page ranked very well for very comnpeditive keyword that was a keyword on a sub site the only mention of the keyword on the root home page was in the link text to the sub site.
In fact the home page ranked well for all subdomain keywords

If google wants good quiality results they would easly handle this.

i would ignore it, Apostrophes offten cause problems in programmiing, i am sure thbat google knows its the same

Having said that i dont know any other stats you could use, but I do think description is very important for conversion.

I have to disagree. google are much smarter then this. If you have a site with subdomains that is presented as one large site with sub sections they will see it as that. If it looks liks the subsites are not well connnected they will see them as seperate sites.

I have found there is no difference between subdomains and sub folders, If anything the advanatge of being able to put keyword in the subdomain gives subdomains the edge.

Of cause link between them well. One other tip I can give is keep all images and css and js files on root domain, any one at google noteicing this would think this site is connected., I would wouldent you.

don’t buy links they don’t work long term.

Don’t bother about page rank and the stuff, in the time you are debating wether of not you could of got the link. every natural link is good, and you will surprised what links give you a boost.

What about the technical, is your site optimized for search engines to crawl, I like the Microsoft SEO Toolkit to find all issues. if you have more technical issues than your compeditors this maybe why.
Does SEOMOZ show any issues.

I use the tools to compare my progress against others in a relative way. They will never be completly accurate, but a good indication.

Thanks guys. what would be good is if SEOMOZ make a timeline page. it makes it easier to answer questions about lost rankings and such without havinfg to look them up each time.
