Does google credit links from iFrames or created by Javascript, if so, is one more powerful than the other?
Yeah, what you say is what i expected for iframes. It makes sense that links inside the iframe would be considered internal links within the iframe provider's domain. As the entire contents of that iframe is within the shadow dom of that provider's domain. I also just found this article: https://moz.com/ugc/can-google-really-access-content-in-javascript-really Which seems to indicate that google would crawl and recognize something like: $('#3rd-party-content').append(''); BUT only if the javascript that creates these links actually lives on the same domain i.e. not targetdomain.com! Thanks for your help!

What is the best way to do a one time rankings check of 10000+ keywords
If you reach out to me privately I can send you to someone who can do this for you, although they may choose not to, but they are good people and have a good product. Rank checking isn't their main business but they have the power to do this and have done much bigger reports for me before. I just added you on LinkedIn, accept and we can communicate.

SEO Moz (organic) rankings keep being wrong
I had this issue as well a while ago, but it seemed to have fixed itself. I spoke to Abe Schmidt about it, so it's worth emailing him on help@seomoz.org.

Does the trailing slash really matter in terms of passing link juice?
From Google's perspective on the matter, both versions of the url are treated equally; therefore, I can't surmise why they wouldn't pass the same amount or link juice. An excellent discussion regarding the the two versions of the url may be treated differently by redirects or how they may effect user experience can be found on the Webmaster Central Blog: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2010/04/to-slash-or-not-to-slash.html Hope this helps.

Does a hashtag link pass the same amount of link juice as a link without a hashtag?
Folks commonly link with hastags, and I believe they pass as much link juice as any other type of link. Google is pretty good at figuring out they belong to the same page, but the canonical never hurts. (well, it can, but probably not in this situation.)

Impossible to review a google places (plus) location from iOS???
Hi Storwell, I hear you on that. Google, for all its support of human usability, has not done anything to make the review process easy. I truly hope they can refine it in future, but they are going for authenticity, so they want everybody signed in. I'll be interested to hear if your technique works. My cell is not an iPhone, so I've not been able to test this myself. Miriam

Tumblr the next Squidoo?
Like i mentioned in my post. If you "Reblog" the link is followed. If you "Like", the link is nofollowed. Tumblr is not randomly no-following certain users, that is not what is happening at all.

What does SEO Moz think about http://www.layeredlinks.com/ ?
What do we think about it? I'm sure 95% of people on here will agree it looks just like any other of the thousands of spammy link building services out there.

Does title text of homepage effect ranking of sub pages?
As I understand it, yes it does. If you check out the 2011 search engine ranking factors you'll see it's estimated that about 11% of the metrics Google uses to rank pages are related to domain-wide keyword usage. This suggests that, to a limited extent, text used on any page on the domain can be used to determine the subject of the domain's pages. Also, text in the title of the homepage could negatively effect other pages in incidents of 'keyword cannibalisation'. For example, if you're trying to get a landing page to rank for 'free range eggs' and your homepage title is also 'free range eggs' then you're sending a mixed message to Google about the subject of your pages.

Organic vs Places (Maps) Searches
Hi Storwell, Unfortunately, there is no tool that I know of that does this. I was actually discussing this recently with some other good Local SEOs and the consensus was no, this doesn't exist. It would be nice if it did! One fellow suggested making a rough estimate from the number of Adwords impressions that actually trigger local results in the SERPs, but we agreed, that was kind of a tough approach. Sorry not to have a can-do answer for you on this one. There are many local research tools that have yet to be developed. The market - though giant - is still new-feeling to many, and rather under-served. Kind Regards, Miriam

Rankings csv export doesn't show local rank
Hi there, This is Megan from the SEOmoz help team. Sorry for the delay in answering your question! Local results do appear in the csv export, but unfortunately, they don't show up in the pdf export at this time. I do think this is a great idea, though, that would be perfect to post on our feature request forum: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests You can vote for features you'd like to see and suggest your own, both of which help us determine what to build next. Add your request there and hopefully we'll see it come to fruition sometime down the line. Cheers, Megan

Time on site
The statistics: increased the average visitor's time by forty seconds and average pageviews by 20%.... are for visitors entering the homepage from a google search. These videos were both on multiple pages.... and the visitor had the option of viewing the video on the homepage or clicking to a deeper page that holds the video plus an article. Both of these videos were on the homepage - one at the top of the page, one at the very bottom - well below the fold. The video at top was 45 seconds, the video at bottom was 3:00. About 20-25% of visitors watched the top video and about 15-20% watched the lower video (data from CrazyEgg). This is a homepage with a lot of diverse information so 20% of visitors viewing is very good in my opinion. More people clicked the top video than anything else on the page. I think that the length is not as important as the audience retention. The 45 second video retails 90% of visitors for the entire length of the video. The 3:00 video retains 70% for the entire length of the video.

Why does google's autocomplete not align with google's keyword tool?
Using a legal analogy, there are those who make the laws (i.e. politicians along with lobbyists and interests groups) and then those who work to understand the laws in place and use that information to serve people (i.e. lawyers). That analogy may not be perfect but it is easily applied to this situation. As an SEO, I work to understand the policies and practices of search engines. I then utilize that information to help service the interests of my clients. If I was to spend any time on how I felt search engines should do things, I would lose a piece of my sanity. I try not to judge. Search engines have a lot of educated people who spend considerable amounts of time researching details and data which we do not have access to. I try to think positively in that if the results don't seem to make sense I presume there is a logical reason for it. That's my approach anyway.
