How reliable / current is Moz spam score at should I disavow?
Moz spam score should be looked as guidance and not a last word. I had some legitimate sites directories shown as spam as directories tend to have lot more outgoing links then the content on the page. And I would have lost , lots of traffic and link juice I would be getting if I consider spam. And some of the sites are high domain authority and really good research resources. I do not agree anything above score 14 is "definitely" spam. But it is "likely" spam

Increase ad spend when call centre is quiet
If you know what time of which days are typically low, then you can set automated rules within the AdWords interface to boost bids and spend. You'll want to look at time of day reports and analyze trends to make sure your actions line up with substantiated data. Like Nick mentioned, set up custom ad scheduling to help boost spend in slow times. Either way, there will be a level of manual intervention here. I don't think there's any API that could do this for you. It's possible to create a script which could run if you set a trigger... maybe. It might be easy enough to set up custom rules and have someone enable it when calls are lower.

Is Keyword Explorer now providing search volume by country?
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here with some good news - Keyword Explorer now has updated metrics and keyword volume is now international! Whoo! Russ Joneshas been working with the team to support a larger capacity for international volume data, and we've got significant coverage for UK, Canada, and Australia, more moderate data for other Western languages and countries, and a small amount in regions and languages beyond those. Over time, we'll be refining and adding to the keyword volume corpus so we can continue to improve. You can read all about it in this blog update! I hope this is helpful for you! If you've still got questions, feel free to write in to help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort you out.

URL structure for SEO
Why not: www.website.com/news/news-and advice-story-1 (with internal linking to relevant product page) www.website.com/news/news-and advice-story-2 (with internal linking to relevant product page) Or is there a need to have product-category in the path for some reason? Can a product be in more than one category? How are you handling that?

What are the SEO considerations when migrating a whole site from http to https
Hi, Cyrus Shepard did a really good post on this not too long ago. There's a lot more to it than simply redirecting the old URLs. Check out the full list here: https://moz.com/blog/seo-tips-https-ssl Post-launch, you'll want to closely monitor the index. Check back daily (it only takes a few minutes) to ensure that your HTTP URL count is decreasing and your HTTPS count is increasing.

Can you force Google to use meta description?
Hey Robert, Thank you for responding, the article was very helpful, however I still don't understand the following scenario: If you search for Embrace care in Google, the first result is the Embrace 'About us' page with the following snippet: Embrace is a leading independent provider of health and social care in the UK. We provide residential, educational and supported living services which enable ... Can you let me know your thoughts on why google would use this snippet instead of the meta description below, which includes both 'Embrace' and 'care'? Embrace provides residential, educational and supported services in health and social care environments, supporting the elderly, adults and children.

Duplicate product content - from a manufacturer website, to retailers
This is one of the biggest issues I see with ecommerce sites these days. Automatic feeds of data, titles, descriptions, product info, etc. right into the store. It never ranks all that well without massive authority. To be honest, the more you can change pre-import the better. Add something to the titles, change them up manually with an intern - whatever it takes to create unique value. For a while I was outranking Polyvore, David Jones & Amazon for the word "skirt" just because my product and category descriptions were massively different than anything on Google at the time (longer, more detailed, more useful.) In this type of situation, don't be afraid to experiment. You're not going to outrank eBay, Amazon or the OEM for most products individually but if you try mixing things up you may find weaknesses that are easy enough to exploit. Whenever I imported, I'd alter the CSV files directly and then import. Made life so much better (and drastically improves rankings on long tail searches.) (A small, small e-tailer won't do this but a mid size to large one always should be.)

AMP pages - should we be creating AMP versions of all site pages?
Hi, This is a good question; for now my answer would be no, I wouldn't bother with rolling it out to non-news pages at the moment. Right now it's only for news/article pages, and if you do have any of that content on your site, it would certainly be worth rolling it out to those, but we don't know how it will play out. Although it is likely that we could see it roll out further in the near future, for now I think you're best off simply improving other areas (including mobile-related things like mobile-friendliness of the UX and site speed) until we see what direction Google ends up taking this in.

Migration to new URL structure
Josh is right about the reason. Personally I would just do it if the old structure is really really bad

What is considered duplicate content?
Hi Celine, Google is very smart at finding content these days, so I would avoid any possible ways of trying to hide it, but looking at what is there, I wouldn't worry too much. When looking at the model choice at the bottom of the page, it is the same for a reason, and there is no way around it. However, I wouldn't think that Google would see that as duplicate content. Lists in this manner don't normally cause issues and as mentioned above, it is more often larger 'chunks' of content that causes issues. There are other considerations that you might want to think about before releasing a lot more pages in this manner, and one if them is making sure Google won't see the pages appearing for no other reason that to draw in search traffic for particular phrases. Keep the pages well stocked with unique relevant content and you should be good to go. -Andy

Are directory websites still worth considering?
Local directories are good for local companies. Yes that is a good approach. You may want to look at Yext whitelabel package for marketing this service to your local clients.

What is your experience with markups (schema.org) in terms of SEO and best practice learnings?
Hi Ryan, thanks for this! I'm also hoping to see more and more markups turn into Rich Snippets in the SERPs. But as you say, this is a story for another time as it will happen gradually. It's about getting a balance right between being too enthusiastic with schema.org and identifying the right level of information to markups... which is trickier than it seems! Thanks!

Why is Moz Crawl Diagnostics labelling pages as duplicate when they appear to be different?
I think that it is a good possibility. I wouldn't put Canonical tags on the product page however. The product page isn't the same as the category page, the html coding is just very similar between the two.

Two sites, heavily cross linking, targeting the same keyword - is this a battle worth fighting?
Alpha, Is the domain authority the same for both sites? How similar are their back link profiles? Is there other interlinking going on between them and other sites? If all else is on the up and up, my feeling is that Google wouldn't be seeing them as a single site but that as the algorithm evolves, Google's understanding of the relationship between the two sites is being more clearly defined. But then again, if you think in terms of "entity", (rather than "sites") maybe Google does see them as "conjoined twins" : ), with one being stronger than the other and a searcher finds one, it will certainly find the other. Maybe it's time to start experimenting with redirecting things to a single domain. You could start a single page or category and see how traffic or rankings change. I wouldn't bet that it would bring you more traffic but maintaining a single domain vs. two interlinked ones could save time and effort.
