  • First of all, I agree with everyone else but let me answer the question you asked. Dofollow blogs often set themselves as dofollow to get links from being listed on dofollow blog lists, like the one you must've found. Once they get listed, they change back to nofollow so they don't leak their juice. So after they were added to the list they simply changed their blog back. That would be my guess (without looking at the actual link.) And no, there's no real benefit to doing blog comments simply for the sake of SEO. There are LOTS of reasons to leave comments though, so just do it naturally.

  • So Mr King, would it be reasonable to say that personalizing all locations but California would keep us out of trouble? Thanks Mike!

  • The only way I know of moving reviews across multiple platforms is in the Car Dealership industry. I have a few clients that use tools like dealerrater.ca - where clients can login or create a Google account to 'review their vehicle purchase ' and subsequently the dealership. These reviews are than posted across multiple platforms including G+, AutoTrader etc.. That's why you often see 100+ Reviews for local Car Dealerships on Google + (attached is example) But I don't think this works for Yelp yet, however a few weeks ago some news surfaced that yelps looking for a buyer - so maybe in the near future you may be able to syndicate reviews.. dHy0bXe

  • Hi there You can take a look at Delete a Page in Google My Business. However, if there is content your client posts and utilizes, then having a connected Google+ Brand Page would certainly help. That way, you have one more outlet to distribute content, and you also have a verified and linked profile on the platform. Just something to weigh out before deleting. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Hi, It's quite possible that it's just a matter of time before the label shows like Patricks mentions. However, if you check your site with PageSpeed Insights there seems to be something strange with the way you implement the redirect: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pssl.com which could be the reason why the label does not appear: Your page has 2 redirects. Redirects introduce additional delays before the page can be loaded.Avoid landing page redirects for the following chain of redirected URLs. http://www.pssl.com/ http://www.pssl.com/!XkggQFlbOgq2yNN3W1icyA!/ http://m.pssl.com/ If you want to check this "manually" you can check the headers yourself using web-sniffer.net with a mobile user agent. I would check with your technical team how to avoid this redirect chain.Apart from that, if you check the insights for speed, your scores for both mobile & desktop are not really great. Testing on webpage test  http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150429_62_19PT/1/details/ - loaded in 3.7 sec is not extremely bad but not great either. You could probably reduce the load time by combining your 19 js & 6 css files. For mobile 400K images & 270K javascript (!) is probably a bit too much to load over a mobile connection(the test also shows the double redirect).rgds,Dirk

  • As far as I know if your pages pass the "mobile friendly test" - they get the label "mobile friendly". If you check https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billboard.com%2Farticles%2Fnews%2F1481451%2Fravi-shankar-to-receive-lifetime-achievement-grammy => it's considered mobile friendly so it is ok for the mobile update If you change your user agent to mobile and do a site:billboard.com you can quite easily identify the pages that are not considered mobile friendly (you should see them in WMT as well). If these pages are important in terms of search traffic, you might consider to create a mobile version of these pages as well. Don't really understand the point of the redirection for the Google bots - your system should normally send all mobile devices to the mobile version. Googlebot will identify itself as mobile device so should be redirected. There is no need to make specific redirects for the bots. I would try to focus on the performance on your pages - the score from PageSpeed insights is not great (for mobile/desktop) - https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billboard.com%2F&tab=mobile Desktop version is loaded in 8sec (http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150429_4Q_15JQ/) - mobile fully loaded in 20sec (http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150429_S8_15QW/) - so there is probably some room for improvement. Having the mobile friendly label is the first thing, but if your site is slow to load the user experience will not be great and this can impact your rankings for mobile (regardless of the label). Hope this helps, Dirk

  • site explorer does not crawl the whole internet, could it be that the 2000 are low quality links from obscure sites. I think SE tries to get the best of the web.

  • Hello, Here it goes: Google has stated that microformats don’t directly affect SEO, but they’ve also implied that removing ambiguity about the meaning of certain content could improve the propensity of search engines to find, index and rank content. So, here the answer is YES Dublin Core is a kind of a duplicate of standard HTML meta tags and may be considered by Google as keyword stuffing and scamming. So, the Dublin Core is a kind of abortive SEO work. If you have HTML meta tags, don't bother with DC meta data. So, here the answer is NO Geo meta tags are used when you are targeting specific region for Search engine optimization. Geo meta tags shows specific location for targeting. So, here the answer is YES, specially if you do local SEO Hope this helps! Luis

  • Hey Dirk I think that's the crux eh - keeping the 1 to 1 ratio. Makes it a bloody cinch to do too. Still doesn't quite sit right somehow to have canonicals on top of canonicials mind you but sod it - works for me. Cheers Dirk. Alex.

  • You'll probably have to Google two at a time. Most reviews are straight up comparisons.  I would suggest starting with: Max Bounty vs. Max Bounty vs. Neverblue Max Bounty vs Clickbooth Neverblue vs Clickbooth To be honest, I don't mind CJ but I know people have had their ups & downs with them. Peerfly gets a LOT of support from 2012-2013 but everything since has been negative so I'd avoid.  MB, NB & CB are the go-tos for the pros I know.
