  • I agree with Andy.  The problem with having two or more main sites is that you will end up diluting your efforts when you might be better putting all your eggs in one basket!  These efforts include, blogging, social media, content creation and backlinking.  Dedicated landing pages are definitely a good idea with plenty of quality chat about offering your services in the different areas.  Your backlinks will be better applied to one site, rather than two, unless you have a huge amount of resources to plough in.

  • Hi there If you configured this properly, I wouldn't worry about this at all. Check your internal links and sitemap to make sure that your URLs listed as a reflection of this www. version. Beyond that, you're all good, no need to block non www. Hope this helps! Good luck!

  • It would be nice if there was a setting to turn off the Mozbar for search results. I love using it for diagnosing web pages, but when it tries to load and analyze 100 results on a SERP, it can be rather slow/annoying.

  • Hi Toby, if you mean that if this traffic has an influence on search ranking, it doesn't, in fact, google doesn't use any data from Google Analytics as a ranking factor. Here is an explanation from Matt Cutts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgBw9tbAQhU And if you think about it, it makes sense since even a lot of people uses GA not everyone does so it wouldn't be fair.

  • Although it is clearly a good idea to have a keyword or keywords in your primary URL, the problem is that your keywords may change over time and you can't have ALL of your keywords in your URL.  IMHO it is probably more important to have a short domain name so that if you have a blog or page title containing a keyword it will show up in full.

  • Often a homepage ranks better than internal pages for the reason you suggest, more links (and probably other things). And yes, internal linking can help. Does it make sense to link to one of your internal pages from your home page? You are talking about the blue widgets, so you link to the blue-widget page? If you are worried about tanking all of your ranking, pick just one of the keywords you think is being cannibalized and try working on only that one at first.

  • Everyone is correct the Title Tag is more important than the description.   You should also consider you H1 in context of your title tag as that is also important. On the description that has no or nominal SEO impact. So as  Patrick states this is where you take the opportunity to focus on CTR or a CTA. Your sample tag - does not include the brand name, so google will likely draw that in. So Patrick's suggestions should be considered Page | Category | Brand I would think that you are shooting yourself in the foot including monthly figures and square foot in the title unless that is a key way people search for the space in the US - i would think  Greenwich Village | Office Space Rental | Brand.  That is what I would recommend.  Cover suburb, geo-specific and key words office space and then brand... I am not sure I would even list size etc in the description, but leave with you.

  • It sounds like you might be using an automatic redirect based on IP. Is that true? If so, that's why Google is only showing the US numbers. They don't prefer one over the other, but you are inherently only showing them the US numbers if you are doing that redirect. My suggestion is to let people set their location with a javascript based popup that sets a cookie. That will then modify the numbers. If you prefer Google sees the metric numbers, show that to any user that doesn't have a cookie set.

  • Greeting Hamid As John Cross and Sander Van Dijcke explained you clearly what you lack and basically provided you with articles to refer, I would like to mention few more points which I think you can follow: As you are having low domain authority i.e. Domain trust Focus on Content and convert it into keyword rich (Note: Maintain Keyword Constancy and Don’t Stuff Keywords). As you are having low domain authority i.e. Domain trust check for any errors or broken links in your Webmaster crawl errors database. Focus on Social Share and Building links with high page authority. There are ready available tools, which you can find out whether your website is penalized or not (http://pixelgroove.com/) Check this out. And use MOZ Open Site Explore and try to disavow spam backlinks. Check for website Speed and other small issues using free tools available online (http://gtmetrix.com/ ). Hope this helps Thank You

  • If you have most of your backlinks pointing to your main page and have separate landing pages for each venue/region then your main page should rank well when people type in 'magician' and the locale.  You will need unique content on each internal page; you can rewrite the pages to maintain the meaning and use a tool like Copyscape to check they are significantly different.
