  • Hello there! Since the http and https URLs are different, the social results will show up different depending on which URL was linked to from that social site - the http URL or the https URL. Since https://docbeans.com/ is the actual URL for your homepage, this should show you the most accurate results in Open Site Explorer. I hope this helps Thanks! Kevin Help Team

  • Thank you for the responses. I figured it can't be a good thing, but they made it sound like it wasn't impacting user experience because the switch to the available nameserver was immediate. It still seems to me that if Google Search Console is flagging 503/4 errors daily, as well as Bing WMT, there may be an issue. If it were only Bing, Google or MOZ I wouldn't be as concerned. Heck, I even ran a ScreamingFrog scan last night and got a handful of 504 errors. Going to be reaching out to them today to see about a fix. Thanks for your replies.

  • Hi Patrick, Thank you for your answer. You make complete sense. There is the risk it ranks higher than the actual blog post, but I think as long as it links to the original location I should be fine. Thanks!

  • I'm afraid that we don't really have a way to display that kind of info right about now, since Google doesn't share all of their search volume data anymore. It would definitely be a cool feature if we had access to the data though! Perhaps someone else has a suggestion for where you could find some comparable info to what you're after

  • I will investigate with our developer what we can do to prevent this from happening.

  • Thanks for your feedback!!! Code for the site already uses CSS. What our developer is suggesting is to place the text towards the top of the source code to make it easier for Google to index. The amount of code will not be reduced (code to text ratio will not change). The site already uses CSS.  So this will not speed up the site but will hopefully allow Google to index the text more efficiently. Do you think that this change may yield an improvement in ranking? Thanks, Alan

  • I've personally not heard of them myself, but their site looks like a legitimate business. They probably have been doing some metacrawling of search engines which send searches to the major search engines to determine a sites rankings which they are collating or maybe even creating there own index data like moz. As it is a free to paid service it is probably a way to get people on board, e.g. you have been digging into your analytics referrals a bit more and now might try their service. I have also done a quick search and there appears to be a few blog/reviews of the service. Maybe give it a try! Here is a review from back in Sept 2014.

  • Hey Pixel, I wanted to mention that, for some reason, every time I've tried to access your site in Firefox, I get a Server Not Found error, though I can access it fine in Chrome. Something you might want to look into. The site is lacking some very basic Local SEO best practices, including but not limited to: No complete NAP in footer No complete NAP on contact page Title tags are not optimized with reference to San Jose Homepage text also makes no reference to San Jose or any geography at all So, while whomever built the site has made some good efforts at visual appeal, this business is hardly coming across as local at all, due to a lack of basic best practices. In addition to working on the optimization of the site, I would suggest running the business through our free Check Listing tool (moz.com/local/search) to start assessing the state of citations. Looks like there is good room for growth in this area: https://moz.com/local/details/JTI1NUIlMjUyMmNlcnRpZmllZCUyNTIwcm9vZmluZyUyNTIyJTI1MkMlMjUyMjk1MTE4JTI1MjIlMjUyQyUyNTIyQ2VydGlmaWVkJTI1MjBSb29maW5nJTI1MjIlMjUyQyUyNTIyMTU2NSUyNTIwV2lsbG93YnJvb2slMjUyMERyaXZlJTI1MjIlMjUyQyUyNTIyOTUxMTglMjUyMiUyNTJDJTI1MjI0MDgyMjYyMjIyJTI1MjIlMjU1RA== And earning reviews will be super important. I'm seeing zero on Google or Yelp. Here's a good post from Casey Meraz on auditing local businesses: https://moz.com/blog/ultimate-local-seo-audit There is great opportunity for this business to improve - lots to do! Good luck to you!

  • I checked your site with Screaming Frog - the issue with the product compare is solved. There is still a problem with the wishlist. Example http://www.stopwobble.com/wobble-wedge-white-hard-300-wedges.html  - if you look at the source there are links to https://www.stopwobble.com/wishlist/index/add/product/81170/form_key/XdNIJWsLMTHVFpVh/ which still give 302 You should also correct links of type http://www.stopwobble.com/sales/order/history/ in your HTML Don't forget that Moz Crawl is only once a week - so the errors will only disappear next crawl. rgds, Dirk

  • Thanks Patrick, I talked to Moz Support and this is what they said: Hi there! Great question. Unfortunately, a limitation of our API is that we can only export the top 25 links from each linking root domain. This means that if the majority of your links are coming from a small number of domains, we would only be able to export a small percentage of your links. This includes internal links as well as external links. This process ensures that you have a wider range of data from all domains linking to you in the CSV rather than a focus on data from a couple of domains. If you want a full export of link metrics, you may want to take a look at our API to set up your own calls. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even think of using the Google Search Console! Will be doing so now haha. Thanks, Jason

  • In general, Crawl Tests usually take around 24 hours. Part of the length is related to our current load when the crawl is requested, so you could potentially see a bit of a wait associated with sites of only a few pages. In this particular case, it's totally our fault. We had a crawler outage, but as you have probably come to realize, all of the crawls have been re-queued and are in the process of completing right now Cheers!

  • When you say "I would not do it" are you meaning that you would not add "- Free Scrabble Dictionary" at the end of all titles? Right... I used to have my domain at the end of the titles and removed it. If you believe that your title tag becomes irrelevant without that, and could be confused with any dictionary or any other type of site, then leaving it in would be a good idea. What I am advocating works for my sites, which are a mix of information and retail. When you say "I would not do it" are you meaning that you would not add "- Free Scrabble Dictionary" at the end of all titles?
