Video and text article on same topic but on two separate pages...
what should we do to make sure that we aren't diluting our ranking power? If I was in a low competition niche then I might be able to get both pages ranking in the top ten. If this is in moderate or higher competition, then I would be afraid that I was going to war with a rubber knife.

Is there an API to download keyword data?
Thanks Lisa. I took the survey as well. One feature request: Keyword volume over time is hard to get. It does not seem to be well covered in the market. Many of us need this to account for seasonality and time sensitive data like release cycles for media like news, movies, books, music, etc. Google updates their keyword volume on a very delayed basis, so it's not very useful for time sensitive areas. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

How to make Form Type Links have "Nofollow" attributes
Are you saying that the links are on another website linking to yours? If that's the case you don't mark those links as "nofollow" (you can't, they're on someone else's website), instead you would add those URLs to your disavow file. Otherwise, if the link is on your site and you don't have an editor to mark the link up for you, just add rel="nofollow" to the link in html.

Google Knowledge Graph Carousel
Hi There! It will be really helpful to the community if you can share two things with us so that we can look at your actual business: Your website URL The keyword phrase you are trying to rank for If you can't share these, it's okay, but the community won't be able to provide feedback specific to your business and there are believed to be over 200+ ranking factors in Google's algo, so we'd only be guessing. Thanks!

MOZ Tool not reading my xml sitemap.
Hi again Robert, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you about this! I've been away for a few days. If you submitted the sitemap directly to Google's tools, you should be seeing this in Search Console but not in the Moz tools. Google don't share this information with us (or anyone else) and it's not possible for us to detect that you've submitted this to them. I took a look at the site using MozBar and am still not seeing an error to say that you're missing an XML sitemap. We don't check for this as one of the page elements so I'm not sure where the error you're seeing would be coming from. If you'd like to send me a screenshot of the error you're seeing, to help@moz.com, I can look into it further for you.

WWW used in research URL, or not to WWW
James, Thanks. I do often find significant differences in the 'www' data vs. the 'non-www', but I also understand that the Google Juice can flow from one to the other - but I think it has to do with how the 'A' record is set. What's the optimum here? How SHOULD an 'A' Record be set? Is there a difference if I want to maximize results in search? Should it be different if I want to maximize SEM? Google Merchant XML don`t allow price variations, so I have two options
Thanks! But what about the same item with different prices? Apparently now I have those 3 options from safe to risky Chose just one material/price per product (the best seller). No risk of Google punishment. Create material-option products with material choice and display just one price (weird) Create single products each one with its own name, material and price with the risk of Google understand that we are duplicating products.

Page optimisation score = 93, but rank on 2nd page?
Hi both, Cheers for your responses. Links do seem to be the route of the problem, but it's a hard area to link build for. I know people discuss Google 'devaluing' links, but this does seem to show that they are still central to algorithm.

Moz Crawler fails on the first page
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble! I'm afraid there's not much you can do to your site to prevent this issue - it has to do with our crawler. Unfortunately at this time our crawler isn't compatible with Server Name Indication (SNI), which appears to be in use on your site. In general, SNI is a totally acceptable security configuration, but our crawler simply isn't equipped to be able to handle these settings. The good news is that our team has been working hard on a new crawler that will support this configuration and this crawler is currently in its Beta phase. If you're interested in being a part of the beta testing, the link to the sign up page is here: http://goo.gl/forms/LCvL9Ix8JDHfbAvr1. Once you fill out that form, you will automatically be added into the Beta during the next round. We will be rolling the new crawler out to all of our users once it's out of it's Beta phase, but I don't have an exact timeframe of when that will be at this time, as it's still being actively worked on. In the meantime, I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have more questions or if there's anything else we can do to help, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort things out for you.

Understanding Moz Opportunity and Potential
Hi there! I agree with what you're saying—the more and more paid ads on a page, the harder is it to generate clickthroughs from the organic results. While a lot of people click the ads (usually without even realizing it's an ad), there are still some people who were told growing up to never click the ads, and thus always scroll down to the organic results. While these opportunity/potential scores do seem really high in comparison with what you're seeing on the actual SERP, I would still considering optimizing a page for your desired keyword because yes, it's not ideal to be lower than all those ads, but 2) you NEED to show up in the organic under those ads if you want to generate any sort of clickthroughs. Good luck!

Do the links from top websites' forums boost in-terms of backlinks?
This depends as some forums have all of their outbound links set to "nofollow", which mean they pass little to no SEO value. Quite a few are "dofollow" which means relevant forum participation that leads to a backlink to your website will help in terms of SEO value. Forum participation in general is a good practice if you can find quality forums for your industry and niche, I would just not overdue it with pointing links back to your site, unless it is 100% relevant and beneficial to the forum. For example if there is a discussion that is going on about a topic you happened to write a blog post on last year, you can reference the blog post and provide a link back to it in a comment in most cases. Be sure to read the guidelines for each and every forum you want to participate in, as they can sometimes have strict rules, also a good practice is to do 10 or some comments w/o links before trying to provide any kind of backlink to your website.

Losing backlinks between http and https
Don't really know if redirects were in place. Only just taken over the management. But from what I can gather, Shopify moved all sites on its platform from http to https. The URLs do all seem to redirect. But the URLs within backlinks all still point to http. If I run a report in ahrefs, the http version might still have hundreds or thousands of backlinks, but the https does not. At the same time, I have seen MOZ domain authority plummet. I just manually updated a bunch of backlinks for one site to point to https. Now ahrefs is picking them up as backlinks in their report.
