Our site recently switched from http to https. Do I still need to setup a redirect for the incoming links pointing to http?
My question is simply: Do i need to do anything further in the .htaccess file to ensure we don't lose the value coming in from all the external follow links pointing to the http version of the site? And very simply no -Andy

Moz Crawl Report Increase in Errors?
Yes, ViviCa1's suggestion that this is related to the number of pages we've crawled does look to be correct. I took a look at your campaigns and it looks like we've seen some dramatic increases in the number of pages crawled, which means that we've found more issues. With duplicate content issues in particular, crawling more pages usually sees a dramatic increase.

Multiple redirects hurt?
Yes, that's exactly what I'm referring to here. Rather than having Page A > Page B > Page C, you should break those out into 2 different ones: Page A > Page C, and Page B > Page C.

Brand Video on homepage
Hi, Chances are, a brand video won't do anything for your SEO as such, but it could help with brand visibility and explaining more about what you do. It is highly unlikely that in adding this, you will entice any new visitors, but if it does help explain a service or product, then it can help with those already on the page. Don't have it auto start though and be careful that however you embed it so it doesn't slow the page loading down. -Andy

Setting Up Hreflang and not getting return tag errors
Should I remove the og:locale in Yoast that for some reason references 'en_US'. I'm using Wordpres multisite so I think it pulls the default language in the plugin even though 'en_AU' is in the head of the AU site.

Is this blog running on the Genesis Framework?
Thanks all for the help. After digging a little deeper I discovered that Yoast's inability to run properly in our blog wasn't because of the theme, but because "Your hosting environment does not support PHP's Document Object Model. To enjoy all the benefits of the page analysis feature, you'll need to (get your host to) install it."

Using the Google Translation WP App use of hreflang
I don't think you understood. They are not using the flags as languages, please re read. It is a feature in the app that I am asking about. Do you have any experience with it? Thanks

Menus, Ecommerce & SEO
Hi Robert Thank you for the reply. We do include mark up, H1's etc, but as some of our categories are so competitive, it is a struggle to rank for example, a level 3 > http://www.key.co.uk/en/key/mesh-office-chairs This is a lower level category page, we need to mark this up with product listing schema, but each product page has schema. I am working on adding some content to this page, but other than that - I am finding it difficult to do anything else on page to help improve SEO visibility? Are there any suggestions? I am also working on user guides - but then this could potentially rank above the category page - and wouldn't convert but help more with research/brand awareness. Thank you Becky

My e-commerce competes with my own wholesalers
Hi James, thanks for the answer. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I run a retail e-commerce with my own manufactured products. I also have a wholesaler program so small retailers can sell my product line along with other items on their retail e-commerce website. Those retailers use same photos and descriptions from my retail website. It`s not duplicate content if they use the same picture and description?

SEO Content Development - Where do unicorns live?
Very stressful as the full-size decline in ratings coincides direct with this, and it does look like a computer virus. Let's give Rand and the Moz comm the heads up on this Subscribe button with icon youtube PNG. If he factors it out you can wager that it is going to be noticed by means of the powers up pinnacle!

Active, Old Large site with SEO issues... Fix or Rebuild?
Thank you very much for this answer. What I needed most is a good overall direction to take and you definitely provided that. I wonder if using canonicals to start 'centralizing' content might be a good way to round up the old versions of the site. Yes, when I originally built the site it was by hand, each page individual .html and google still indexes those. I removed them at the start of this journey and ended up with 24k 404s... who knew they were in that long!? Was great to hear of a similar experience... happy to hear more stories as well.

May integrating my main category page in the index page improve my ranking of main category keyword?
Your homepage is probably more powerful than your category page and that is why it outranks it. The category page, if it was strong enough to rank in the top ten, would likely be on the first page of the SERPs with your homepage - or instead of your homepage. That tells me that it lacks strength rather than relevance. The first thing that I would do is make sure that I have taken advantage of all opportunities to build internal links to the category page. These would be links within paragraph text or a breadcrumb system of links throughout the site. I often add lots of text to category pages. This can be details about the items shown on the page, relevant information at the top of the page, relevant sidebar information, or supplemental information at the bottom of the page. Use these to make links to relevant secondary pages within the category. That's what I would do. If that isn't good enough then you need links from external sites to obtain enough power to rank higher.

How to edit name of a label
Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. I'm afraid we don't have a way to edit labels at this time. The only option is to remove the old label and then re-add the new one. This is a request we see from time-to-time from our users and I know it's one we're considering adding to a future version of the tools because of this. I'll be sure to pass along your interest in this as well, really sorry about the inconvenience! Please let me know if there's more I can assist with or clarify on this. -Kristina

Can I add external links to my sitemap?
The point of a sitemap is to tell Google what is on your site so it can index it easier. There is no way, nor any reason why you would want to put external urls onto your sitemap.
