Does adding a Yahoo Store to an existing website hurt your Google keyword rankings?
Joelhit is completely right about the www and non-www version. You should 301 one of them to the others to resolve the duplicate content issues or alternatively you could go to Google Webmaster Tools and let them know which one is your preferred version. This will only affect your issues for Google though. The first option remains the best. To answer your question, no i do not think the yahoo store would have impacted your rankings so much. Just make sure that you get your 301's setup and that you do not link to http://theheismanwinners.com/index.html but instead to http://theheismanwinners.com/. (Or the www. if you choose this as your preferred domain.) I hope i answered your question. Let me know if anything was unclear.

Twitter Account names for Fictional Characters
One thing to keep in mind here is the amount of work required to manage a Twitter channel well. To keep a single channel fresh takes a lot of time. Trying to keep seven channels fresh (the six characters + the channel for the series) is going to be a ton of work. The last thing you want is for your social media channels to reflect poorly on the series. Social media channels that go dormant due to lack of resources never reflect well on a brand. That being said, would it make more sense to roll all the characters under the nakedinfishbowl account? If you choose to move forward with Twitter accounts for every character, I think I would opt for [CHARACTER NAME]_Fishbowl or [CHARACTER NAME]Fishbowl (Bonnie_Fishbowl or BonnieFishbowl, for example). Here is my reasoning: NIAF is already owned and somewhat branded. You probably don't want people appending @NIAF to posts about your series. [CHARACTER NAME]_Fishbowl or [CHARACTER NAME]Fishbowl is easy to remember. Good luck! This is a tricky one...

Why the SEOmoz Toolbar dont show PageRank?
Lately PageRank is even worse. As far as I remember the last update was in Jan/Feb this year while the previous one probably in March. Unless I missed something, that means 9 months of no updates.

Different names for Twitter/Facebook, and site?
I dont think that vanity URLs matter that much (if at all). I think that building authority and posting relevanta and useful information is more important than the handle name. I would get some reputation on the social media accounts 1st rather than worry about the username or twitter handle for the social media handles.

Wordpress Pages vs. Posts
All good advice. No difference between pages and posts. It's all about how they're linked to. For #1, if your pages are linked to in the nav bar, from every page on your site, that would explain them ranking higher than posts that aren't as well linked-to. If you're relying on category links, your posts will be 3 levels down, at http://yoursite/category/yourcategory/yourpost. You can improve this with a plugin or some code to strip out the /category base, to get http://yoursite/yourcategory/yourpost -- but that's still 2 levels down. Best to link directly to important posts -- from the home page, or a well-targeted page, as in #2. Thesis has a sidebar widget to show the latest posts from a category. These are direct links. If the widget doesn't fit your design, you can do it with a line or two of PHP. If you want to link from a targeted page, as in #2, Thesis has a field to add text/html to a category page, turning it into a regular page with a list of posts. But you'll still have that pesky /category base, unless you strip it out with a plugin or some code. You can also add posts or a category page directly to the Thesis nav bar, which lets you link to whatever you want. Unless there's a compelling reason not to, always set your Wordpress permalink structure to just %postname%

Post for last three years not visible in google search
How unique is your content? I took a couple of posts at random and searched the text in quotes and a lot of other sites with the exact same content appear; http://www.google.com/search?q=%22The+term+%E2%80%9Cmullet%E2%80%9D+is+rarely+used+in+a+positive+light.+Generally+it+conjures+up+images+of+bad+haircuts,+but+this+fashion+week+the+mullet+has+a+new+life%E2%80%94and+a+chic+one+at+that.+The+%E2%80%9Cmullet%E2%80%9D+skirt+has+been+seen+on+runways+from+BCBG+to+Diane+von+Furstenberg+to+Jason+Wu.%22&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvns&ei=f_h5Tr2lA9O48gP83ZEh&start=0&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=911 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=911&q=%22When+it+comes+to+jeans+for+plus+sizes+we+could+go+as+far+as+saying+that+this+is+an+area+for+plus+sizes+that+is+not+lacking.+There+are+a+number+of+plus+size+denim+brands+%28including+straight+brands+like+Paige+Premium%2C+James%2C+and+Citizens+for+Humanity+which+come+in+plus+sizes%29%22&oq=%22When+it+comes+to+jeans+for+plus+sizes+we+could+go+as+far+as+saying+that+this+is+an+area+for+plus+sizes+that+is+not+lacking.+There+are+a+number+of+plus+size+denim+brands+%28including+straight+brands+like+Paige+Premium%2C+James%2C+and+Citizens+for+Humanity+which+come+in+plus+sizes%29%22&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1040l2372l0l2536l3l3l0l0l0l0l188l373l0.2l2l0 Although your site appears in the search engines for these long exact match phrases - a rather large number of other sites appear too. If you are only copying snippets out from other sites and publishing it as-is with little or no unique content - your pages generally won't rank for very long.

Prioritize Cities Instead of Counties or Countries in Site Architecture
Hi Steve, a lot of consideration needs to be placed on the scale of the website. How many countries around the world, how many continents etc etc. In terms of coming up with an intuitive and relatively simple way to reduce the number of clicks to an actual city, I'd recommend a large, full-width map with big dots for more popular cities and that sort of thing. Could like be created using HTML5/CSS3 for maximum SEO friendliness. The advantage of a map is it's immediately intuitive and doesn't require drop-down menus or anything of that variety. So the structure I'm suggesting would theoretically allow one-click to top cities which is going to make a lot of people very happy

Will duplicate content on ecommerce cause harm in search results?
Thank you to both for replies. Gianluca that was exactly the answer I was looking for I guess which showed that I was on the right lines with my own thinking and learning but I also think I wasn't confident enough to assert that to someone developing an ecommerce site themselves from within their own limited resources. But my initial spot of duplicate content on their site was right, their view is to fix it with robots.txt and no index tags so your excellent second link, Gianluca, and JoelHit's response has enabled me to give them to explain their situation and confidently recommend a solution appropriate to their needs. Many thanks

Maintaining a Network of Websites
Having them under the same GoDaddy account is not a problem - as Google doesn't know they are all under one account. However, if you have the same administrative/technical contact details for them in the whois data then that is certainly something Google has access to and is checking. What JoelHit is pointing out is a list of other ways that Google might be able to make a connection between the different sites, i.e having the same GA account monitoring them all makes it fairly obvious they are 'under the same roof'.
