Category VS Post
Hey, The rule of fist is that readability is the most important aspect of your URL. The /category/ folder does not add to relevance, neither does it make the URL easier to read. I would therefore say it's better to remove the folder. I guess you don't use the /category/ folder as a page itself and have the visitor land on /destinations/ right away? As long as the content on your /africa/ page is valueable and unique, I wouldn't remove that. I hope this answers your question!

Is this page low quality?
...Does this mean that people clicking on the post from SERPs then quickly visiting the site to download the font as there are only 6 fonts featured in the post to download (due to six font they are not spending time)? -> Looks like. I would measure the clicks on the download links and calculate a conversion rate. To know how good the convert, i.e. perform the action you want them to do.

Indexed Pages Increase and Major Drop June 25th and July 16th?
My site fell from 46,000,000 to 62,000,000 (ahrefs rank, sorry moz... guess you will have to index me) on July 6, 2017, I saw no reason for it. I still do not know why. I had no unusual indexing increase prior to or during that time. I have given up on finding out why. If you learn any thing please share it.

Can we use the same titles and meta descriptions for all of our office locations? We have 18 locations in total.
Hi Kiakh, Like Kris has answered, this is an 'it depends'. You'd need to be able to show a consultant your current pages, including the optimization of their tags, to get an expert opinion on whether changes you plan to make are likely to improve rankings, improve conversion, or the opposite.

What happens to 301 redirects after the old domain has expired?
Yes, they do. If you want to keep 301 redirects in place, you need to stay the owner of the domain and ensure it continues to 301 redirect to your new domain.

How long does it take to turn around a 10/17 SPAM score domain?
Hi Lisa I read those before posting. I guess my question was more around once you take proactive measures so the site is less spammy, how long does it generally take Google to stop looking at it so negatively. Interested in both MOZ's views on this and the community here based on their experience.

Why Only Our Homepage Can Be Crawled Showing a Redirect Message as the Meta Title
Hello Kris, Thank you very much for your help. We’ll contact the host to see if they could help. Is there any way to check if it’s the CMS and database structure or is that also something for the hosting company? Also, we checked and there was an issue with the sitemap.xml. Could that have been a potential cause? - More just curious. Please let us know if there are details we could provide that might help. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks again. Best,

Am I accidentally Keyword Stuffing?
16 times out of 490 words is a 3.2% density, which is right where you want to be. You could actually use it more times. a 3-7% density is good. Also, make sure you have this target keyword synergized in your title, description, and Hs. I would suggest the change in ranking is a temporary dip, since you changed the copy of the page. Think of your rankings like a stock market. Even the best stocks go up and down. Now that you have entirely new copy, Google is now reorganizing your content in it's index. Should be back up, if not better, soon. Personally, I see pages with 1500+ words rank well. But then the challenge is user interface and design to allow an easy read.

Is it deceptive to attempt to rank for a city you're located just outside of?
Just to piggyback off of Miriam, we do a lot for clients in the home services category who want to show up in markets like this. Our clients are service area businesses, so we build targeted pages that talk about the service they provide for that market. What we have found is that by making that page unique to the market has helped us with gaining some of that sweet page one visibility. You will almost never rank higher in a market outside of your physical location, but yes, it's possible to get some visibility. Just make sure you're being honest in your representation to customers. An SEO strategy that ends with an angry, non-paying customer is not a strategy at all.

When you think of Firefox, do you think of a browser?
It would be odd for Google to invest in ranking high in Google searches for "search engine" and I wouldn't be surprised if they actively suppress that result because -- well -- people searching on Google have already found Google's search engine. But Google does land on the first page of Bing results for "search engine". In any event, I'm not sure how this relates to my question. Can you help me understand? For example, do you think Google -- who most would agree are a fairly important search engine -- are trying to rank high on Google searches for "search engine" and discovering that for unknown reasons, they can't even get into the top 15 pages of results for it? That is what I am asking about, except it's Firefox and "browser". Firefox is second for "browser" on Bing. It's been a browser for twice as long as Chrome has existed. It is at least as well optimized for the keyword "browser" as, say, a random GitHub project on the 14th page of "browser" results. And yet, it doesn't rank. I'm looking for ideas why. For what it's worth, unlike Firefox, Google may not need to invest in search rank for, say, their browser. Anyone who visits Google Search (or any other Google tool) in a non-Chrome browser is apt to get an advertisement at the very top of the page, outside and above all search results, encouraging them to use Chrome. You don't need a lot of SEO when you own the SE.

301 Permanent Redirects
Hi, Tawny is right. If you want to pass on any existing authority to a new domain/url, then you want to be using 301 redirects to do it. Either doing them en masse (e.g. all http: to https:) or individually if required, and you should get somewhere around 90% of the original SEO benefit (which is better than nothing). Plus it also avoids users trying to visit via previous links ending up on a 404 page, which is pretty bad for the user experience.

Homepage not ranking for targeted keywords (established site with somewhat ok UR&DR)
Trying to rank a homepage for all your keywords is a fairly difficult task in any industry, and usually service, product, and blog pages are used to target certain keywords so that you aren't putting some much pressure on your homepage to rank. The fact that you have "tens of thousands" of links is a little concerning to me, but if you believe they are all legitimate then more power to you. I would try to increase the content quality and quantity of the homepage and if possible decrease the amount of anchor text links as Google may be seeing this as spammy.
