In my experience with PPC campaigns, using competitors names as your headline in your PPC is a serious breach and can land you and them in deep, deep trouble, not only if google finds out (which they will in time), but also if your competitors find out, I can tell you for a fact, they will crucify you for this. No problem... Installing a blog to your main site shouldn't be a problem really msot of the CMS out there tag on pretty easily. I recommend avoiding javascript redirects as they can be considered cloaking. Here's an idea: show the English language homepage by default, but determine the user's preferred language (from the accept-language header sent by the browser). If your site supports the identified language, include & display a hyperlinked text-box/graphic-banner suggesting the visitor "view this site in {the user's identified language}" which links to the homepage for that language. Sean - I share Rand' sentiments, thanks so much for the suggestion! We have considered distributed crawling in the past (or even distributed rank checking because then it would be in that user's locale) but there are a whole different set of challenges.  For example, you have to handle all the edge cases: what if a user's computer isn't on, or loses connectivity, what if we crawl too fast and the user gets blocked from a site, how do you write all that data securely? Of course all of these concerns can be overcome, but right now we feel like we have a good handle on the problems, and it will be much faster for us to just fix what we have Although, I know all of us are so appreciative of the ideas and support, and we will have something really great soon!

I agree with you not to use any extension and will be looking for a code for this purpose.

I dont think is possible using Rank Checker tool. Either you can scrap the search results and found your rankings threw a customized script. or you can use google docs with importXML function =ImportXML("http://www.google.com.qa/search?hl=ar&q={KEYWORD}&num=100", "//h3[@class='r']/a/@href") use conditional formatting or a Vlookup ..ur choise

Hi Harry, Partial anchor text is a way that someone would link to you, not what you publish on your site. It's not something you can control or influence by what you publish on your site, beyond the general site theme.

Something to consider is the amount of fun you can do with the 404 landing page. Write a fun title Iframe a funny blooper youtube video Link to your most visited pages Link to your social platforms Write a joke I have had good social reactions from this.

Thanks Keri, I think this might be user error! The problem only seems to occur if I import the CSV into an exisiting Excel spreadsheet. If I directly open the same CSV in Excel then it formats as expected. So my mistake it seems. Sorry for wasting anyone's time! Ben

I have read entire blog post which was recommend by you. Kate Morris has given us such a great post and suggest to create unique content on product pages. But, It's quite hard for me to create unique content for Manufacture Detail tab for 7K+ products. Can I go forward with Ajax or Java Query to make it hidden. So, crawler will not able to crawl that content. What you think about it?
