How can i build back link for competitor website
Once you sign up for your MoZ 30 day trial click MoZ Pro, and then link explorer on the MoZ Nav bar. Type in your competitor's url and it will show you all of their links. Depending on what kind of link it is determines if you are going to want to move in on acquiring the backlink, and how to go about doing it. I recently wrote on article on this particular subject matter, and effective ways to Steal Your Competitors Backlinks.

Optimal URL Structure for a Multi-City Directory
I think you should consider how your users are interacting with your website and how they search for your services/products/locations and follow that. For example, Yelp is focused on local reviews. People will filter first to their city, then the category naturally. You would never filter down to restaurants first, because if you're in Huntington Beach, CA you really don't care what's in Portland, OR. If location is secondary to your product, then it makes sense to start with the category. For example, let's say you sell ATVs and other off-road vehicles and gear, but some showrooms only have ATVs while others also carry dirt bikes. Customers who are looking for a dirt bike care more about reaching a showroom with dirt bikes, so that category structure would be preferable. Note that I'm assuming in both of the above examples that your navigation is following the structure of your website for usability purposes. In terms of structure, one way is not inherently better than the other from a ranking/algorithm perspective, but if your structure is confusing it can be detrimental to SEO. For example, outreach is a lot harder if you have a garbage navigation that contributes to poor user experience on your website. Any piece of Google's algorithm that measures user satisfaction with your website (Rank Brain, pogo sticking, etc.) will either directly or indirectly affect you depending on how user friendly your website is. One last thing: in both instances you have the geography in the URL, so if you're hoping for a boost for local phrases from an exact match URL I think you're already tapping that. EMDs are nowhere near as effective as they were in years past, so I wouldn't make that my focus.

Keyword Explorer: Search by Domain Not Working?
Good spot! I'd love to investigate this further. I’m wondering if you can provide me with a screenshot of the page you’re working on with the developer tools open? That way I can get this over to an engineer if needed. You're welcome to email this to me directly at help@moz.com What version of Chrome are you running? What is your OS version? What version of the Mozbar are you using? You can check from this page: chrome://extensions/ Screenshot of the developer tools with the Network tab and Console tab open which you're searching on Keyword Explorer To open your developer tools, you can follow the below steps: Chrome: From the view menu at the top of your screen, head to developer and then developer tools. https://www.screencast.com/t/22xnisnx Firefox: From the menu on the top right of the screen, click “web developer” and then toggle tools. https://www.screencast.com/t/8vh2g1LF It would be especially helpful if you could include a screenshot of the network tab as well as the console tab for us. Here is an example of what we would need to see: https://www.screencast.com/t/HjgvAB5WSPYj Thanks so much for your patience while we get this worked out! Once we have these screenshots we can do some more investigating. Cheers! Jo

Help choosing ideal URL structure
Hi There, Both Options can be useful, you have to make a choice based on following factors: It is good to include keywords in the URL, till the time the URL is not getting longer than 50-70 characters. If it's getting longer around 100, then get back to smaller structure. http://leye.local/restaurant/bub-city/location/ have a page? It's better to have it as part of the structure, if not then it makes just characters in URL and not an important part of a structure of the website. Fewer the folder the better, unless they have some importance in the structure of the website for a navigational purpose. Too much content in the URL is going to make it look spammy, but it needs to relevant and important to the structure of the website. I hope this helps. Regards, Vijay

Effects of a bad link linking to a image
Your gtg for the most part when it comes to images. In Rand's Image SEO White Board Friday, he states images are graded for SEO on a more traditional style. So if it gets tossed around and embedded hundreds of times in bad web property neighborhoods all is well, for the time being at least! https://moz.com/blog/seo-photos-visuals-graphics-whiteboard-friday

Should I switch from trailing slash to no trailing slash?
I'd absolutely agree. If you can get it fixed properly in a couple of months, then leaving the status quo would e better than making interim changes that just trade one set of redirects for another. P.

Decrease in page Authority
In that case, You might have to look at the pointers given by the Moz team. The links pointing to your page might need to be evaluated and checked. Check if there is any change on the anchor text, linking images etc. Use the link explorer to check the historical changes.

Google Beacons
Here is the message I received from Google: **Beacons transmit small bits of data like a random number or unique URL roughly once per second. These signals are readable by BLE-compatible devices, like smartphones and tablets, within a limited proximity range. Apps with the appropriate Bluetooth permissions can read these signals and perform actions. ** Beacons are an interesting new technology that will generate useful customer experiences and insightful analytics for your business. There are many reasons to participate, including: Store Visit Insights - Report on consumer behavior such as how long they spent in store & where they are going next Store Visit Integration - Signals for Google provided beacons will be utilized as an additional input to store visit reports as soon as they are installed How does this actually work? BLE beacons give users better location and proximity experiences by acting as digital lighthouses. They effectively “mark-up” (or tag) the real world for mobile devices to understand and use. For this store visits pilot, BLE beacons will be used to provide more precise indoor location “tagging” in situations where GPS does not work well (e.g., within a shopping mall). The user will have location history enabled and Bluetooth on for BLE beacons to register and inherently improve our store visits model.

CraftCMS
I would agree with the above. I would add along similar lines: tends to be better for custom, higher end websites. Craft CMS does not come with themes so you will need a developer who can build a theme from scratch. The pro of that is that it rules out a lot of less skilled developers when you post Craft jobs on sites such as Upwork. It does not require constant updating of versions and plugins. It is maintained by the parent company Pixel & Tonic. Although the plugins are limited they tend to be of better quality then wordpress plugins. You don't really have to worry about them going out of date and if you are working with a good developer they can probably build what you need anyway. As a content editor, the backend is quite user friendly.

Mysterious ave pageload time spikes since major redesign
Quick thing to check - have a look at your server logs. Those kinds of random load time increases look typical of the load spikes that are typical of bot overloads - where spambots may be hitting your pages in bursts, causing the server to overload and slow (or even reset, as Vijay mentions). Those bot hits aren't recorded in GA - you'll have to look at the actual server access logs to find them. Hope that helps? Paul

Ranking fluctuation
I believe fluctuations occur because of competition for the target terms. Are you regularly measuring your site to your competitors? I record our position, links, PA/DA monthly with our to 10 competitors, this provides great insight for the "why's" I encounter with our SERP. Hope this helps. KJr
