Redirects Advice Please
Hi Dale If that loop you have specified there was true then the homepage wouldn't show up. https://www.theirsite.com/keyword>https://www.theirsite.com/>https://www.theirsite.com/keyword ad infinitum... It would just keep on going and Google wouldn't be able to show the page. You could use Screaming Frog to check for redirect chains - SEMrush and MOZ also pick them up so scanning the site would be my preferred option before touching it. Failing that I would remove it and see what happens. Regards Nigel

How many hyphens are allowed in page titles or image names?
Hi KP There really is no limit but URL's with many hyphens tend to look spammy. Remember the old days of long partial match URLs? www.cheap-car-insurance-for-u.com? and suchlike? They just look really crappy. If you really must use one in the TLD then limit it to one. For Pages & Posts, it's quite common to see more use of hyphens. I'm editor at a music blog and it's quite common to see for example: sitename.com/the-rolling-stones-manchester-live-review It looks natural even though there is a stop word in the URL because 'The' is actually part of the Stones' name You will get a warning in Moz because of the long URL but it will not stop it ranking well, at all! For images, it depends on how descriptive you want it to be. If the image was of Mick Jagger in Manchester then the image URL could easily be sitename**/mick-jagger-manchester-old-trafford** and then the Title or Alt text tag would be 'Mick Jagger - Manchester - Old Trafford, so highly descriptive with a couple of hyphens and great for image SEO. So it's up to you really - the more descriptive the better. Ignore warnings of long URLs unless they are stupidly long and focus on enhancing the ranking of the page rather than worry about minutiae. Now: If you are talking about Meta Titles then it's common to use a variety of separators such as a hyphen (-) or a bar (|). In that case, it's fairly simple as you need Primary Keyword - Secondary Keyword - Sitename so they are often limited to just two. I think the more you use them the less space there is for Keywords and it's important with a limited length (60-70 characters) to get those in as a priority. The hyphen takes up 3 characters so they are largely a waste of space. I hope that helps Regards Nigel

Cookies disabled pointing to a 404 page
Hello there, I would always check with more than my own browser to make sure it wasn’t only happen for myself. You can try to use the curl tools from keycdn, or ultimately you can also check with google itself by using the “fetch with google” tool in your Search Console. If the problem presist you should check if there is any script on your site could potentially cause the issue. Hope this helps, Joseph Yap

Google Search Console Not Sending Messages
Hi There, There should be no problem in receiving the notifications if you have A.)Turned ON notifications, B.) Removed the admins properly and taken access. Both processes are listed below. Turn alerts on and off Sign in to your Google Admin console. Sign in using an administrator account From the Admin console Home page, go to Reports. To see Reports, you might have to click More controls at the bottom. In the left pane, click Manage Alerts. If you have custom alerts, they'll appear at the bottom of the list. In the Status column on the right, turn the switch on to receive an alert, or turn off to stop receiving the alert. (Optional) Click the Email recipients column to edit alert recipients by email address. You can also check or uncheck Super Administrator(s) to start or stop alerts for users who are super administrators We lost our site owner! If the verified owner of your site leaves, or you're not sure who the verified owner is, simply verify another owner for your site. The new owner will be able to see the list of all owners and users verified to that site, as well as the method used to verify each owner. You can then optionally unverify previous owners by removing their verification token (for example, removing the HTML tag from the site, for HTML-tag-verified owners). See Add or remove owners for more information.

Search Console Errors 400 and 405
Both issues are on ALL WordPress sites. xmlrpc.php return 405 because it's work under HTTP POST but bot crawl under HTTP GET. And error 405 mean switch from GET to POST. But bot can't do that. admin-ajax.php return 400 because it's not designed for direct use. You must make call with some parameter and it will return some information. But as name says - it's responsible for AJAX calls and it's not for direct use that's why it return 400 when it's called w/o parameters. So - that issues are not related to your issue. For example mine WP sites also return same error codes to the bot. Peter

Can I have multiple GeoShape Schema for one page on one domain?
Hello there, Actually, there's no answer from Google that explicitly says you can't do that, although most of the time we would prefer to create a customized landing page for each area of users. Not that only a safer SEO approach, it's also more personalized and might help stuff like CRO more than just SEO. Here's an article that shows how to use multiple "localbusiness" markup for a page, although he did not use GeoShape, the logic applies: https://www.chrisains.com/seo/local-business-schema-mark-via-json-ld/ Here's another: https://intuitivedigital.com/2016/10/json-ld-for-multiple-locations/ Hope this helps, Joseph Yap

What should my key words be for home page?
Hello there, I have a bit more different opinion than others I would choose to include the city as part of your keyword, the reason is simple, do a Google search with and without city from the keyword, which one do you think it's more relevant? Don't forget your longer tail keyword (/w city name) also included your general keyword as well (/wo city name), so there's basically no harm I can think of to include your city name. But of course, make sure you also use the properly structured data as well. Some would also suggest that your homepage shouldn't be optimized for keywords, but I don't think there's one-rule-for-all in SEO, especially if you aren't a big brand and just starting out in SEO, your homepage is generally your most linked page with the highest ranking chance. So I would not waste the opportunity to rank keywords with my homepage.

PDF - host, link, recreate?
We have MANY products and different suppliers but want a way to be better at SEO then our manufactures. Write unique content for the most popular topics. Make that content far better than your competitors with detailed instructions, photos, data, information, etc. And, post that information as html pages on your website. Link it to the pages where the products are sold and link the sales pages to this content. Lots of work, but kickass when you have it finished. Start with the most profitable products that you sell. Do this exceptionally well.
