How to increase the traffic and keywords ranking
Thank you HealthLotteryMan. Thank you Gordon. The drop is from past 2-3 months. I have been doing the SEO activity from past two years. Regularly I do blog commenting, directories, social book marking, classifieds. But from past two months I stopped submitting in blogs as am unable to find new blogs related to my website. Instead I submitted in more number of directories. So I have seen the fall of keywords rankings after I have stopped the blogs. I tried press releases too but did not find much difference.

Are citations the way to go even if there is no Google Places listing
Hi Gavo, While what Marcus points out is true (you can prompt local results for web design companies by adding 'in' to your query), it's important to understand that Google does not view web design companies as being truly local, hence their lack of inclusion in the results for the most common service + city or city + service queries. To my understanding, Google's thinking on this is that most web design (and SEO) companies operate virtually (don't meet with clients face-to-face). So, you can add your web design company to Google's local index, and you can build citations for it, but it's likely that your overall organic rankings will hinge more on other forms of marketing in which you engage. Think content development, earning links, social outreach, etc.

BBB links - worth it?
Yeah I noticed the same even for paid customers. At first I thought it was for unpaid customers, as there is a way to setup your profile via someone requesting to set it up, but not get a followed link. However checking paid aka Verified accounts it does not have a follow link, really interesting..

If i give a key word with a site . I want to know how many times that particular keyword repeated in that site ? Is there any tool for this ?
Maybe I'm not understanding your question correctly but I think a keyword density tool is what you're looking for such as this one from SEO Book: http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword-density/

301 redirection pointing to noindexed pages
Hi, No direct experience but from a technical point of view the authority passed through the 301 would not be lost as such, just not of any use in ranking the new page since it is noindex. Once you allow it to be indexed it will start to appear in the search results and any extra push given by the 301 should be as expected. That being said, it might be an idea to noindex, follow the pages in question so any authority added can flow through your no indexed pages to your indexed pages. In that respect it is the nofollow rather than the noindex which is causing authority from the 301 to be wasted/lost.

Is it possible to block Moz from crawling sites?
Thank you both for the responses... I guess it was just a matter of time in my case. It looks like the keywords crawl/report comes in a few hours "after" the initial crawl email from Moz... not sure why, but about 15 minutes after I posted this question, I received the email titled "New Rankings and On-Page Reports Ready" that included the keyword rankings! Thanks again

Redirect closing established site to another established site.
Daniel, Unfortunately, there isn't any tool that can tell you if you received an algo "penalty". The only way to know is looking at your organic traffic, if you see some drop from one day to another then you probably did. In any case, algo penalties are applied and removed in the same way, just fix what you think caused the issue and then wait

Noindex child pages (whose content is included on parent pages)?
Sorry to take so long to respond; I wanted to wait until the child pages had dropped out of the index, in case I had any follow up Q's. Everything's looking good so far, and it seems all the links to any individual views of child pages have now been removed. BTW, great post on WP and SEO, Dan! Thanks again!

Meta tag question
Michelle & Blake, Tim raised some good points, so rather than address those I'll try to answer your question directly. Yes, you could theoretically rank for these unique SKUs if you were to build some half-way decent content around them - especially if the competition is low as you say. It's not likely as easy as putting the keywords in your Meta tags ( I assume you mean the meta description tag, or even the meta keywords tag which most folks don't use anymore) If you really want to rank for these keywords, they should probably be a natural part of your content and body copy. To Tim's point, could you target these terms in a way that made sense to visitors? Perhaps yes. If your visitor was looking for a product similar too or a substitution for a particular SKU, this might make sense - but you actually have to create content around the terms, and not simply stick them on the page or hide them in the meta data - does this make sense? You would want to target these keywords and ideas just like any other. Tools like the on-page grader might give you good idea where to start. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO!

If Google Trends Doubles?
Thanks Tim. Hopefully someday they'll give me what I want: Historical Data It would be nice to have an idea about how search numbers change over periods of years.

Redirecting 404 pages
It can take Google a long long long time to remove old pages from its index. I'd highly recommend manually submitting the relevant URLs via Google Webmaster Tools' URL removal tool and do them a bit at a time. We have done this quite successfully. Otherwise, I think you're doing the right things. Hope that helps!
