Localized vs Professional Images
i think my solution will be a unique exterior storefront image of each location and then 9 images that show the range of products and services offered at all locations, using the same 9 images on all like brand profiles. so, the primary image will be unique and the 9 supporting images will be the same across each brand (200-300 locations each). If a location wants to go the extra mile and send me 9 unique images to use, I will add those as provided, but not make it a requirement. the logistics of trying to get 921 busy business owners to send me 10 images that meet my requirements is nearly impossible, so I have to be realistic in my solution for now.

SEO can id and class be used in H1?
Absolutely agree with Dana here. Stylizing H1 elements is very common, both classes and ids can be used to achieve this.

Internal page links and possible penalties
This is a book they're presenting on their site, of course it's not unique content. I'm sure they're aware of that. OP, to your questions: 1. Generally you won't be penalized for having too many links on a page, but Google will only crawl so many of them. The higher authority your site is, you can have tons of links on a page and get more of them crawled. 2. What makes you think you're being penalized? Significant drop in traffic?

Citations for multiple practicioners in an office (real estate, dentists, etc)- Best Practices
Hi AvalanceSearch, Great questions. Let me address them in order. Personally, I'm not a fan of taking advantage of Google's offer to let partners in a practice build their own Google+ Local pages in addition to the main practice page. My hesitation stems from two things - Google's historic issues with merging similar listings and Google's historic refusal to delete doctor/dentist dupes (read: http://localsearchforum.catalystemarketing.com/google-duplicates-merges/861-dr-dupes-google-local-user-edits.html) That being said, it is certainly permissible to go this way, just so as you have a sense of historic problems that could potentially come up for clients. It's fine to have a different name and same address in the multi-partner scenario. But, if you can, do give each partner a different phone number at which they can be directly contacted during stated business hours. The main reason for doing so is to lessen the chances of merged listings. Yes, definitely point an individual practitioner's citations to his unique page on the website. Again, this helps reduce the likelihood of merges and provides a better user experience. Hope this helps!

Google Processing but Not Indexing XML Sitemap
It resolved itself in the next week with no further action taken. Site verification wasn't a problem - in fact, I couldn't find anything that was causing it. Normally it's less than 24 hours for our sitemaps to be processed and indexed, this one just took a few days.

Whats up with this website?
Commerce shops are hard to rank especially when they are in very competitive markets. Most of this falls back to alot of flash little substance. That may sound harsh, but let us think it through. Anybody with $100 or less and very rudimentary web building skills can make an e-commerce site. What are the search engines actually looking for? Unique content! Does this site sell, inform, or offer any information that is not available on another site? Actually only one thing, a brand. If you search here in the US for that brand this site is #1 (google.com). When you get into what people are likely searching for "e-cig", "e-cigarettes", they are lacking. My guess is because despite having a very attractive looking site, they are offering very little textual information about e-cigarettes and a lack of inbound links. I sure others may have some opinions but I hope my thoughts help, Don

Hi Edmond, The Moz Q&A probably isn't going to be a great spot for this to be list. Perhaps you should consider posting this to the Inbound Jobs board.

Indexing of internal search results: canonicalization or noindex?
Hi there, Just to round this question off, you could canonicalise the query-string URL searching for black iPhones to the iPhone 5s listings page and keep an individual phone's lising at /123456 separate, yes. It's best to keep the canonical tag for truly duplicated or near-duplicated pages, so you would not want to canonicalise an individual product page to a listings page or similar.

Homepage & Subdomain Love Story...
Hi Yoav, I doubt this impacts your SEO as long as it isn't being seen as manipulative. I doubt that though, since the set-up is very transparent. If you want to exclude URL.com as a referrer, check out this guide.

Meta titles and description for subcategory pages in CMS websites
Hi there, thanks for your question! Do you mean that your CMS will not allow you to write titles and descriptions for each page? (Or, rather, that you cannot use the CMS to write titles and descriptions for each page.) If so, are they auto-generated? Finally, are you using a homegrown CMS, or something like Wordpress or Joomla?

Should sub domains to organise content and directories?
I'd say it''s all down to content and how much of Good Relevant content you have. If you have enough content to fill a website about all of these individual areas then a sub domain offers you the ability to demonstrate your expertise in these areas and Google will see that your focussed in that area. Also it means that the first word will be a keyword in your domain which is excellent. However if you have only a few pages for each site that would be bad as Google would see it as it is your making something solely for Google ranking which it would very much frown upon. If your doing something to your site just for Google ranking then generally as a rule of thumb the answer s no don't do it. A well structures site is much more preferable.
