Bulk Upload to Rank Tracker?
... unbelieveable. Thank you for the work-around, but right, not immediate results. So much has changed over the last couple years with SEO, but wouldn't you still want some idea as to the rank of a keyword... ? I'm wondering if searching the first 5 pages myself in Google would be any less mind-numbing?

How do I make a content calendar to increase my rank for a key word?
"What questions do people call in about?" Good idea Keri. You can also come up with a list of what a consumer that is buying a model of truck will type. Such as: Common problems of model Easy fixes for issues with model Consumer reviews for model Publisher reviews for model Things like that. As Egol stated, you can easily waste a TON of time blogging about stuff no one will read or care about. Do a few searches yourself. I'm sure if you spent 10 minutes searching around you could find some topics worth covering.

Redesigned Website
Two solutions: 1. Redirect all indexed pages to the proper pages on your new site using a 301. Resubmit sitemap, and do a fetch as google on all the new pages to get them showing up asap. 2. Make sure all the old pages return a 404 error. (home page will not be an issue). Once they are returning a 404, submit a url removal request for each old url. IMO, option 2 takes a lot longer, and you are at Google's mercy on how long they take to get to them all. Option 1 would be your best bet, as you will retain some page rank and weight from the old URL.

Post Site Migration - thousands of indexed pages, 4 months after
Thanks Dana. Honestly, we have a lot of experience dealing with site migrations - I read dozens of posts and we've implemented our own step-by=step guidelines for successful site migration. As you can see, sometimes even when you do everything by the book you can encounter some unexpected issues.

Duplicate Page Content Issues Reported in Moz Crawl Report
There's a pretty rich discussion of how our near-duplicate detection works on this thread, but the short answer is 'yes.' The more unique content you have on a page, the less likely it is to be identified as a duplicate. Our duplicate detection for campaign crawl does not strip out headers, footers, sidebars, etc., and so if the unique content of the page is very small, the common elements will dominate our consideration of two pages as duplicates.

Its posible to use Google Authorship in an online shop?
Just a point here as I just ran into this thread on the "Bounty" QNA section. Google dropped authorship pictures just about the time this thread started, so being more visual will not have the same impact it once had http://searchengineland.com/google-plays-authorship-search-results-dropping-profile-image-google-circle-count-195163 Honestly, I agree with EGOL, I think using authorship as a tactic on product pages when there is really nothing that you authored. That just sounds like an approach that will get you penalized down the road.

Which automatic redirects to use in International SEO
Thanks Rick. I guess I was trying to avoid popups as most people find them annoying. I ended up coming up with a solution: added javascript to redirect for aussie and NZ visitors from .com to .com/au the reason for js is that most google bots are from usa, So if I was to 301 redirect they would never been able to crawl my /au sub directory. since google bots don't read js then they will ignore these redirects and instead crawl my au directory even though they are from US.I didn't end up using rel alternate because my research showed that they are meant to be used when your language changes. In my case the language is the same.

What is parasite hosting?
Parasite hosting is when someone places a webpage on a domain that is not theirs and intends to rank it organically. You might want to do this if you want to ensure that anyone searching for your brand, for example, reaches a page that you own or created. For example, you might want to rank a Yelp page, Facebook page or others to control your brand results. Conversely, others may want to rank for keyword terms by creating a page on a website with a high authority (let's say domain authority), as the page they create will inherit some of the trust and strength of the root domain. Some people rank those pages in a white hat way, others may choose to aggressively link to those pages - as they don't have to worry about their own site being penalised for it. You can see there where it becomes a gray area for SEO. The most extreme example would be people in very spammy health niches, eg viagra, compromising a site and creating a new page to sell their products or promote their shop for a quick rankings boost. This is just outright black hat SEO and illegal, as it involves hacking into a site to create a page. So you can see there are different degrees of parasite hosting, each with different levels of ethics. Hope this helps.

Keyword Optimisation
I agree with all of the comments above. Your homepage is going to be a hodgepodge of keywords and phrases that catch people, and from there I tend to agree with the one keyword per page thought. If your website is only 10 pages deep, optimizing for 200 words is going to be a little crazy. If your website has 2,000 pages and hundreds of products, it's a little easier. We are still writing content for Google & for Customers. I personally think we have to aim at our customers more that at Google. There are a few things to take into account for keywords, and in my opinion this part of SEO is pretty similar to good old fashioned marketing and in the big picture you are looking at short-tail vs. long-tail marketing. I'll give 2 examples. So let's say you sell coffee. The short-tail keywords for this would be the generic keywords that every coffee company on the planet is using. Coffee Beans Coffee Cup Dark Roast Light Roast Etc. Long-Tail keywords are obviously more specific. French Dark Roast Coffee Flux Capacitor Blend #88 How Much Caffeine Should I Drink to Optimize My Website? How Many Cups of Coffee are In The Great Lakes? The difference being as follows. Short term keywords are generic, all encompassing. You will be competing with everybody and are going to be much more difficult to optimize for. The long tail keywords are much more specific and although not searched for as often, will be easier to optimize for (generally) and if someone is searching for something as specific as "Flux Capacitor Blend #88" I tend to believe they will probably convert into a sale/lead. Odds are if your writing good solid content for your website the short tail keywords are probably on there anyway! That coupled with Google's Hummingbird update have really changed how I optimize a website. Keywords are still vital for research, but I will ask you this question. When was the last time you searched for one or 2 words? So I would personally pick about 30 keywords maybe a mix of short-tail & long tail. As you progress from there you can add to the list as you climb the ranks!
