International TLD Differentiation Concerns
Thanks for the added insights Ricky! This lead me down another path to do some additional research on ccTLDs. Total international SEO rabbit hole so this could be fun.

Problem with duplicate pages due to mobile site.
You have the rel="alternate" tags from the page back to the mobile version, right? That seems odd...has anyone else had this with mobile and desktop pages in WMT?

Moz Crawl Test says pages have no internal links
Thanks for your patience! I took a look at the crawl test for www.nasscoinc.com and I've checked the site in our index, Open Site Explorer, and I do see that we have currently only indexed 2 internal pages on the site. This usually means that we haven't found enough high quality links to the site to consider the site valuable enough to fully index. Mozscape focuses on a breadth-first approach. Therefore we almost always have content from the homepage of websites, externally linked-to pages, and pages higher up in a site's information hierarchy. While we have found some external links to www.nasscoinc.com, we haven't really found any to the internal pages of the site and the links we have found to the homepage aren't very high quality links. For now, the best thing you can do to help your domain become indexed is to work on link building for links from sites with high mozrank. If you need help with that, you may want to ask the Moz Q&A community about it. I hope this information helps! While the site and links may not be indexed yet, give it some time - maybe we'll see it in OSE next month. Chiaryn

Anyone using synup.com?
Hi Dave, Just wondering if by any chance you gave Synup a chance are are still using it. Seems their model has changed a bit since your post from 2 years ago, and on paper it looks great, but I have not been able to get any feedback from people using them. Ira

Google Not Seeing My 301's
Yea, I cleaned all that stuff up! This website was a mess. Anyway, back to the .htaccess, I have no idea what they are being used for.... but we are actually in luck! I was doing a little research and I came across something interesting.... Not only is that the original file that our old webmaster pulled from, but that's the updated version with 2 sets of entries commented out. Seems like a good place to start? Thanks! Here is the link, because it seems to not want to display properly. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-super-cache-force-to-https

Help Understanding Localized Search Results/Ranks
Hello! As David mentioned, despite us pulling non-Location specific queries, for many KW Google always uses a local intent. We recognize this and actually have some stuff in the works that will hopefully solve this problem. I empathize that this is a big problem for you guys and we are working on it. If you are interested in helping us test this feature, I would be happy to add you you to the tester list - shoot me a mail at jon@moz.com. In the meantime, as Travis mentioned, AWR Cloud allows you to set location-specific engines and that has worked well for me in the past (caveat: I don't know if/how they have reacted to the pigeon update). If I am spot checking location specific rankings, I use the MozBar in Chrome. This has been updated post-pigeon. Super-manual - but gives a ton more insight than just capturing rank/verticals as you can see the full SERP. Hope this helps! Jon

Rank Tracker - URLs are Different when Exporting to CSV
This absolutely sounds buggy to me. Thanks for the heads up! Can you send this explanation of the issue with the CSV attached to help@Moz.com? From there, we will peek at this with our engineers and figure out the cause of the inconsistencies and conflicting data. The fact that it doesn't happen with every item is definitely an indicator that something is weird.

Huge e-commerce site migration - what to do with product pages?
They are changing from what old format to what new format? Sometimes, if there is logic to the URL structure, you can handle thousands of redirects with only one line of code called a regular expression.

Using https: Beyond the standard seo metrics
Hi Tom (great name) I work in an industry where security is paramount. From what I have seen for a region where we made the switch to all https (after doing what you have done beforehand as well), I can tell you that it has been very well received. It's actually a bit of a selling point for us - we're able to say that every part of our site is SSL protected and customers like that, it gives an extra layer of security for them. And, so far at least, we've not experienced any negative connotations with the move, with people being put off or confused by the switch. I actually think we're on our way to a more secure web and more HTTPS being the norm. SEO wise, there's even been talk of SSL sites being seen more favourably than non-SSL sites, although I'd say we're a long way off from that. I would make the change if you think it will be beneficial to your clients - which I think for the most part it will. Make sure you take care of the necessary SEO steps like canonicals/redirects, but it sounds like you're well ahead on that front. Hope this helps Tom
