Blogger.com with an RSS Feed or on-site blog?
Thanks Lesley, That is the call we went with. I had to think about it for a minute. Also realized that a search engine would not pick up the content on that page they would only see the feed code and would pass authority back to the blog page.

How does Google look at strings added to a URL
What we're trying to accomplish is to have a non-sequential string for secure applications without a user login (due to business reasons). The string is a unique identifier for a specific application in our system, and will always point at the same form.

Does a Website Overlay Hurt Ranking?
Thank you Travis. You are correct, Cloaking is what I am concerned about. However, there is so much software coming out, that one questions whether an overlay from a 'respected' provider (CrazyEgg and alike) would be ignored by Google for cloaking purposes. The software we wanted to test is Evergage. Has anyone tried out this (type of) software and seen Google response from it? Thanks guys for your opinions.

Video SEO for Google
Hi, Phil Nottingham did an excellent post a couple of years back on video seo, worth having a look especially the bit on what types of searches are likely to result in video results (not local for example!). He has done some other more recent articles on various sites, all worth having a look at.

Is there a way to see keyword density by percentage?
Sounds like management will end up sabotaging your SEO efforts with their ineptitude.

What are your experiences using the new Google Local Descriptor feature?
Hi Ira, People are definitely using it. I know, because I keep having the gut reaction of, "Oh, no, business title spam!" and then having to remind myself that Google now allows this Haha. But, it may not have had such a very observable impact on rankings that would cause people to write about it.

Fix broken external links on noindex, follow pages no one visits?
The fact that you tell Google bot to follow the links on these pages suggest that there is at least some link juice flowing from these pages. If this assumption is true you should direct that link juice to pages that make you money. You could do that with a 301 redirect or by updating the pages with better (not broken) outgoing links. If the assumption is not true and there is no or very little link juice flowing from these pages that no one ever visits, I would suggest to remove them all together.

Is it good practice to still pay for Best of the Web Directory (BOTW) and other similar one's you have to pay for?
"If you pay for a directory link only to gain position in the SERPs you will most probably not get any ROI" Meaning if you are on the first page there won`t be ROI? I dont think so!

Should I use individual product pages for different formats of the same product?
No, I would not. In fact, I just signed two new online product companies for SEO, and I'm taking them away from different product pages for each variation of the product. Here's why: (1) Confusing Google not good. You will confuse Google all to death if you have 4 different product pages for your BOOK. One for online, one for ebook, hardback, paperback, etc.... You need to be clear on which page you want Google to land when I search for "the best book ever" (2) Risk Duplicate Content By putting the same book/product/service description on each variation page, you risk being tagged for duplicate content. Again, this upsets Google. Don't do that. (3) Lack of Content Depth You will get tired and burned out on writing details on all those products, you will cut corners, and your content will end up being short or non-descriptive. Better to write one very long product/book/service page and have buttons that allow customers to add the variations into their cart from that page. In this way, this particular page will have deep content, images and everything else Google loves, and it won't be confused one bit on what you are trying to rank for. I've got my work cut out for me on fixing these two product pages, so at some point I'll have to follow up and share the results on my little scientific experiment. My money is on my theory. Bet yours is too!

Does a GTLD extension 'count' as part of the target keyword?
That's super helpful, thank you. My GTLD would be a brand term, perhaps the closest description would be 'B.bc' (if that existed) or The.times (again, if that existed). In these examples, would the URL be interpreted as BBC and thetimes or just 'B' and 'the'?

Cant improve rankings even after big effort
My thoughts is that the term "Document Scanning" is somewhat ambiguous. When I first read the term you posted my thought was somebody looking for an OCR without knowing what an OCR actually is. It wasn't till I went to your page then read your link The Scanning Process Explained, before I realized what exactly the service was. It appears to be many things in my research, OCR, software, how to, services, hardware ect.. My conclusion would be to purpose a strategy to target multiple longer keywords then one open-ended keyword. I also agree with Samuel, he has some good insights there. (thumbs up!). Don

How GOOGLE can re-index my site as possible as?
Google will often choose its own snippet to display in the SERPs, based on the search query the user has typed in. You can have the best meta description in the world, but they may choose to ignore it. Same with title tag.

New Subscriber - What am I looking at?
Samuel pretty much nailed it up there. I'd only make one change—that particular Help article is actually referring to the Link Analysis section of the old Pro app. You can find the corresponding article, updated for Moz Analytics, here: http://moz.com/help/guides/links For an excellent overview of all the tools in Moz Analytics, you can also take a look at our Getting Started guide, which can be found at http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started. Does that help at all?

Interlinking vs. 'orphaning' mobile page versions in a dynamic serving scenario
Hi Eric, That's a great question! To be safe I'd suggest adding an HTML sitemap page (for both the mobile and desktop versions) which includes links to all the pages on the site. That way you can be sure that Googlebot Mobile is able to crawl the full site. Hope that helps!
