In addition to DM/IM books, make sure you expand your business knowledge. Knowing how customers tick and how SWOT works rarely goes out of style. Adding the link masking directory to robots.txt?
Iredeto, I do this on a few of my sites and it works out well. Saves on crawl budget, keeps google from accessing my affiliate links, and keeps any pagerank from passing through the links, which keeps me in-line with Google's webmaster policy on links. One thing to keep in mind is that Google may show those URLs in the search results with a message that they can't show the content because it has been blocked. If you want to keep this from happening you may have to remove that directory GWT using the URL Removal tool. If they get re-indexed in 90 days (or whatever the reset time frame is) you will have to do it again. Hopefully that won't be an issue once you get them all removed the first time and block the folder. Using rel = "nofollow" tags on the hyperlinks going to that directory wouldn't hurt either.

Meta Keyword Tags
I've had SEO consultants swear that you should still fill out the meta keywords tag because some search engine in a galaxy far, far away is apparently still giving it some clout. I say leave it blank. The search engines that matter won't give you anything positive out of it, and you never want to find yourself in a position where you're actually getting dinged for having that field stuffed with too many keywords, or having the same keywords duplicated across every page. I also agree with Donna that it's making it easier for your competitors to see what you're targeting. If you ever have a client who demands to know why you're not including meta keywords, you can show them this blog post directly from Google that pretty definitively states that they have no ranking value: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/09/google-does-not-use-keywords-meta-tag.html

Link Removal
And to you as well! Sorry if I was blunt and no disrespect intended. If you decide to keep the url then you will need to build new quality links. Even after disavowing the bad links you will not rank if you don't get good links going forward. Check out these guides http://moz.com/blog/the-noob-guide-to-link-building http://pointblankseo.com/link-building-strategies http://www.makemoneyninja.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-link-building/ The good news is you can save the url but it will be more time consuming. Good luck!

301 redirect to WWW on a 2 year old website with good SERPs and organic traffic?
/index.html should 301 redirect to the root domain (www.example.com/index.html and example.com/index.html should redirect to www.example.com) For multilingual, you will need to set up hreflang for each language via tags or sitemap. Check out https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en for more info.

How to target a site to only specific US states?
Thanks Jeff and Andy, We are already building compelling content focused in those specific states. I was also wondering if there is anything in the technical side to leverage position, but local SEO and schema doesnt really apply to us, since it is usually based on a physical address which we dont have it. Building a landing pages targeting the state would be an option but we do want the user to arrive in the homepage which is not really geo targeted. Ill try a few thing for the next few weeks and I would be happy to share some results. Thanks a lot, A

Can anyone recommend small UK based SEO Consultancy companies?
People who do SEO knows both techniques, and every single person must hire as needed. Ask for budgets and compare the services you get. If you're not convinced, then look for another. Cheers.
