Mobile search results show desktop crawled content
Hi there, Just checking in to see if you figured this one out? I have an alternative theory: Google may be pulling the page title and meta description from Dmoz for both the mobile and the desktop site. That's what I was actually seeing with Amazon. If this is true, then the page title is not indicating that Googlebot mobile is crawling the desktop version of the site (which is good!). Best, Kristina

Description on Google+ & ALL Citations the same or?
I would spend more time on custom descriptions for the ones that you have reviews on. The goal would be to have as many citations with gold stars as possible rank high for your brand name on Google. That way when customers search for you, they are blasted with nothing but gold stars. This brand name is a good example: ME Contracting

Website with only a portion being 'mobile friendly' -- what to tell Google?
Hi Giovatto, Thanks for your thoughts. I had thought that too, but it looks to me like while it crawls both, it indexes only the desktop. I think it crawls the mobile to see what else mobile links to, but that the main purpose is to see if the pages render well for mobile. Here's my otherr thread that goes into this in more detail: http://moz.com/community/q/mobile-search-results-show-desktop-crawled-content

Spot.im
It looks like a pretty cool tool. I don't know what kind of affect it will have on your DA or the value of your content. I would imagine the increase in social signals would help, not hurt.

Tool to check google index status for backlinks?
Thanks for the suggestion, Dennis. It's been awhile since I last used Scrapebox. They published a nice video on youtube discussing how to check Google indexed using Scrapebox. I finished the index check task using the monitor backlinks software mentioned above previously. It was nice to see more link metrics other than yes/no, but Scrapebox would definitely do the job.

Why do I have 2 different URL's for the same page - is this good practice?
The site has been in progress for months now. During this time the company has developed some outstanding suppliers and subsequently more products have been added. Because of this we had to rethink the website structure by adding product categories. This has allowed us to implement cleaner urls which are better for SEO, as well as categorising our products which will provide a better user experience for our customers. It also provides the platform to add more products in the future. I really appreciate you help Linda. I wanted to ask questions on here before getting in touch with my programmer. This has confirmed my concerns as to "why" this has happened. Thank you.

Hidden text for Mobile
It's very common for responsive sites to reduce the content for mobile devices, without any penalty. This is not a deceptive or black/gray hat tactic, as long as you're not cloaking the text. In fact, you're just making a better UX. In my experience, the hover-state text will be indexed (as a link). You can see an example on my company's work page here - notice how the hover-state content reduces as the site responds to different devices. Also see how the hover-state text is showing (as links) in the cached version of the page. I hope this helps!

Can we export Historical Campaign Data
Thanks. I figured as much. I was just recently asked if I could track some of the domain authority changes and I for some reason didn't start exporting my dashboards until October. Thanks for answering!

Creating a Domain Specific Keyword Difficulty Score
It can be used for reporting as well helping set expectations for SEO clients. If Client A has a very low domain authority and wants to compete for very competitive keywords a score like this can help set expectations as to what keywords are realistic for them vs. keywords that are out of their grasp. Thus helping you develop a campaign that helps them target keywords that are within their grasp.

Magento product pages - should they have a .php or .html?
Google really isn't all that concerned with the structure of your URLs. You could have domain.com/widgets/nfdi23ur2r255.rofl and they wouldn't care. Having a keyword in your URL is nice but not necessary. My advice is to pick URLs that are easier to remember. So domain.com/widgets/brown is not cleaner per se, but it is easier to remember.
