Moz Profile Problem
-
My profile is shown as incomplete.
The only thing I can see is missing is the custom URL, which I have not been able to update. Do you have to have so many moz points before this can be filled out?
I have put my name in the title, my company name into the title, what I do into the title, I've tried our domain name and sub domain names, but all that happens is my name becomes high lighted on the right hand side of the screen and a box appears going on about format.
I've tried every format Moz says is legal!
What should be put into the custom URL and in what format; could you spell in out in an idiot proof format please. (I usually find it's the user who is the problem (me) not the software).
Thanks

assuming you are talking about a custom url here, you need 200 moz points for the nofollow to be removed from your first cusom link - however i think you are saying its not even showing up... try putting in say google.com and see what happens. it is possible that something has gone amis in the melay of changing interfaces - send moz a tweet and ask for help if you are still stuck @moz

You can mention the name of website simply as:- http://www.domainname.com
One can not use any 'anchor text url' or 'keyword friendly url' in Moz Profile. Its the plain domain name which is allowed to enter in custom Profile Url.
So in Profile, you can write
Title - Refer 'Title Name of your Website'
URL - http://www.domainname.com
Description - A short description about the blog or site. (Does not shows in Front End Profile page though)

Thank you for spelling it out.
I was doing that but the system doesn't like it so it's clearly a system problem and not me YAY!
-
Looks like I'm going to have to tweet moz with the problem.
-
Hey Cristina,
Are you entering the http:// before the domain? I got an error myself for that one!
-
Hi David
Doesn't seem to like it with or without the http part.
Moz tweeted and asked me to contact help, which I have done.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hey Christina,
Thanks for the question. I took a look at your profile and what's causing the issue is the formatting of your nick name. We actually no longer allow spaces in the Nicknames so if you try and update your profile and that space is there it won't save anything entered due to the error.
I know that's not well messaged and I'm going to try and get it updated to help avoid any future confusion.
Thanks! I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel. -
Actually, we'll (the community team that is on Q&A, Twitter, and Facebook) will send you over to the help team. I've flagged this Q&A and someone from the help team should be in here later today to answer.

Thanks Joel
Changed Nick name, added website and my world is a happy place once again.
As I was filling out the custom URL, I didn't even understand there was anything wrong with the Nickname, I presumed the message was trying to be helpful by highlighting the Nickname and suggesting I format the Title in the same way (name space name). I only thought this as at the time I set the profile up the nick name was ok.
Not sure how you can change the message to get passed someone having a "stupid half hour".
Cheers
Christina

The best way is to send an email to help@moz.com. Thanks!
