When leaving guest posts on blogs, are blog profiles such as Disqus relevant for SEO?

In other words, instead of the comment linking back to the money site it is being linked back to a blog profile which contains a link to the money site.  Is this still as effective?

Is the comment itself relevant? Would you have made the comment if the search engines didn't exist? If you're commenting just to drop links, that's not a real effective way of doing things and can get your comments removed, get you banned from a site, and help develop an unnatural linking profile.

I am commenting to get links, but my comments are relevant to the articles and the blogs are relevant to the money site's niche so it is doubtful that a lot of them will get removed
