  • thanks for your response.  I am really losing faith in this MOZ deal.  I have lost my ranking, indexing of pages since following their lead in the last few weeks.  I'm am mortified.  Now this "crawl" error claiming my meta isn't there.  Just crazy.  My pages have been seriously down-graded by google since doing their "suggestions."   As if my web presence has just vanished to the third and forth pages of organic search, when I was on the first page for most of my keywords.

  • Hello, You're correct, currently the API does not offer this call directly.  However, we've escalated the question to our engineers who are looking at the issue now.  I expect if they do make the change they'll mention it on the devblog: devblog.moz.com

  • Notices are exactly what they are. They confused me a bit off the bat too since they are on the same page as warnings and errors. But they are just what they are notices. For example if you had no idea that your site was rebuilt, you would appreciate the notices for rel can, to let you know whats going on. But again these are not errors or warnings Hope this helps!

  • I agree to Vadim you should use all tools available if necessary so that you can identify all the back links possible and remove them asap and file the reconsideration request. They way I would do it, is to start obviously with the biggest which should be the webmaster tools, and write down in an excel or a doc all the links you sorted out, and after when useing OSE and other your will see if you have all ready done that link Good luck with that

  • That's the one. Moz... Take note this is a great tool. Place it somewhere friendly!

  • I'm not surprised, OSE routinely misses many of our links. But none of the backlink checkers will be 100% accurate. Your best bet is to use a variety of sources - OSE, Majestic, AHREFs, etc. - and compile and remove duplicates to get a true picture of your backlinks.

  • Hi Kairos We have a separate crawler for OSE than what is run for your campaigns. Would you be able to provide me with the URL or email me the information at help@moz.com? Talk to you soon.

  • As already stated using the Moz API for such purposes is probably best, there are also some alternatives available which you could use from inside Google Docs so you don't need to develop some tools yourself but can just retrieve the data yourself. If you need any help with the Moz API let me know, it's quite easy.

  • Hey George, Sorry for the confusion. The Help Hub is the best way to contact us for both PRO and community, but you can also email us directly at help@moz.com. The Contact Us page also directs users to reach us through the Help Hub, but I understand that the semantics of the page do refer to Moz Analytics, which may have caused the confusion. I'm very sorry about that! Since the engineers will need to look into your question about the time stamps on the blog posts, I am going to create a request in our email support system. You will receive an email from me shortly and then I will send the information you included to the engineers. Once I have further information from them, I will follow up with you again via email. • Hey Ben! Thanks for the question. The best way to do this is to head over to your Crawl Diagnostics page and then exporting the csv. From there, you can sort the 404 column to group them and scroll over to the referrer URL column (all the way at the end). That'll give you the path Roger took to get to the 4XX/5XX error. This will be made a bit easier in Analytics because we'll list the referrer URL in the UI for these situations, but for now, the csv is your best bet. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks! Best, Sam Moz Helpster

  • Thanks Jesse and Joel – I definitely think the API route is what I need. That said, I have no programming skills whatsoever. But before I find someone to put something together for me, I came across the google docs tool: http://moz.com/ugc/updated-tool-seomoz-api-data-for-google-docs. This does what I need to be done (bulk url submission retrieved in spreadsheet format), but seems to be limited to pulling just the data available under the free plan. I’m looking to retrieve a wider range of data available with my Pro membership – specifically, the domain and page metrics (number of linking domains, FB, Twitter, etc. shares…). Do you know of a modification of this tool that would allow me to access that data? Or would I have to (that is, get someone to) modify the existing code here to be able to access what I need. Thanks again for your help and patience! Charlton

  • Hi Marlon, There are a lot of different issues that may cause Rogerbot to be unable to crawl your site. For troubleshooting tips, I suggest reading http://moz.com/help/pro/why-can-t-rogerbot-crawl-my-site. Hope that helps!

  • It is now being redirected to the tools section, does this mean it is now integrated into Moz Analytics, and if so when will it be available?

  • I prefer the Rank Tracker tool by Link-Assistant.com. You can go as deep as 1000 search results, narrow your serps by countries and search engine, and use Search Safety features that such as Human Emulation to avoid IP blocking. The standard license is $99.75, and its worth every penny!
