  • Well, they are your interns to direct, but I do think we have a couple of things with actionable reports that might get you a better ROI.

  • Hi Nick I see that we have the same name also, mine is Nikos, is short from Nikolas, (in greek) nice to meet you. Good that is on progress because I just finished my site and here in my small island they all promote the socialbakers and I need one nice tool so I can compete them. By the way the algorithm of  that thing which is called software tracked me like romanian.LOL. I am still laughing from that..Another nice tool is sysomos but I see that you  have all the specifications to beat them and also is over charged...They charge minimm 5000 subscription for one year .CASH oOOOOOppss!Slow down man! They think that they are alone on the internet?WTF? Anyway keep going with the good work. I like very much the SEO MOZ. I am fan and is big help for me. Thanks

  • Site Review Webinar/Workshop Get 3 (REAL) Mozzer websites and do a quick onsite and link/competitor review (screen share). Let the pros at SEOmoz school us on website reviews! It would be good to review different types of sites (maybe 1 brochure website, 1 eCommerce website and one content website).

  • Hey Berend van Bon, The Back Burner has an interesting thought on the decrease in your DA. It's tough to say for sure why your DA has dropped - it could be due to the updated DA model or we might not have crawled as many sites linking to you. If the latter is the case, you would see a decrease in link count, thereby lowering your DA. Most likely if you see a drop in your linking domains and/or URL counts, this was what caused your DA to decrease. If these metrics look about the same as last index, the drop would probably be due to the updated DA model. I hope that helps, but let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Carin

  • You'll have to test it and see.   Don't remove all the keywords, just don't have the BMW keyword in there over and over. It looks spammy.

  • I strongly agree with Keri on this topic. If you haven't read Alan's article on the company, take a look: http://searchmarketingwisdom.com/2010/06/topseos-continues-deceptive-practices/ If you have never heard of Alan Bleiweiss before and this is the first article of his you read, then you probably will have a very different opinion of him. He is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced and caring SEO. I have never seen him "go off" except when discussing the topic of TOP SEOs, which is enough to set any good SEO off. Our industry is a cess pool. We are all part of the industry and none of us are above it.  If we each do our part we can work to establish credibility for the industry and help web masters sort through the various scam companies and legitimate SEOs. If you feel joining them has given you a steady flow of new business then I can't argue with that. Otherwise I would suggest you probably don't want to be associated with such an unethical organization.

  • I spent many hours first going through blog articles then youmoz articles searching every "directory" related post for years and was unable to find the right article. Memory can be funny. My recollection is it was on this site and it was related to a link directory, but either my memory is faulty or I have missed it. Either way that does appear to be the reply Stephen was referring to which is a really nice find. I thank everyone for their help.

  • I have found the resources under learn SEO to be very helpful.  Webinars, Videos and the Beginners Guide. For me, I find downloading reports, then making comparisons over time  also keeps me on track. I am by no means an expert, but by spending a little time with the tools and the content they provide I have gained solid traction in handling some of the content provided.

  • Hi, thanks for your input. I am using the same strategy, but also putting stop words, like "in" between, in your example: "boots in red", "boots with the colour red", etc. I was only asking me if SeoMoz can provide more precise data for their term "partial anchor text match" .

  • My understanding is the C-block bar has nothing to do with social factors, but instead is being used as a control measurement. Prior to social sites becoming so popular and other algorithm changes, the strongest off-site correlation for Google ranking factors was the number of linking C-blocks to a website. The graph is being used to demonstrate how Facebook shares and other social metrics are so incredibly strong they overshadow the number of linking C blocks metric. That is how I interpreted the graph. If anyone else read it differently I would welcome the feedback.

  • Will do, thanks Casey. In the meantime, I might just have to talk to an iOS developer friend of mine to have them whip something up. I'm picturing something like the 3rd party Basecamp apps, which should be relatively simple to build, and would help make checking rankings, crawl reports and Q&A's easier on the go.

  • Hi Diane, based on your initial questions and sub-questions, I would recommend you to: a) prepare a comprehensive 6 or 12 month Internet marketing and/or SEO plan. b) get help on executing the plan if needed. Without taking a comprehensive (big picture) look at your online strategy, your success will be very limited. I'm afraid that your questions may be very narrow and you may be missing the big SEO picture (example: concentrating on 1 keyword too much) I hope this helps. Best, Ogy

  • you might want to put a ticket in on this if it persists. I know some of my pages take a couple weeks to filter through.
