  • Hey! Good question and Mike's answer is partially right. In addition to their awesome turn around for transcriptions, Speechpad is also a great company and we like their values! So we decided to stick with them. Wistia launched their transcription service after we had been using Speechpad for a while, so rather than just jump ship on Speechpad we stuck with them because we think they are cool. We also think Wistia is the coolest ever and have stuck with them and will continue to until the world ends ;). Also, check this out! http://www.seomoz.org/blog/tips-for-filming-whiteboard-presentations  I wrote a blog post about a lot of our processes for WBF. It could be helpful for you in the future.

  • I don't believe you'll lose any benefit by having a responsive site, as long as it still contains the same content/html markup. You may have trouble converting your current fixed-width site to a responsive layout though.  Responsive layouts are accomplished through CSS media queries (different properties/values based on viewport size). If you're using a "template" it may be easier to just get a different one that's responsive and re-create it.  I don't know jack about SiteBuilder, but there's loads of responsive templates out there for Joomla and Wordpress.

  • The idea itself is very creative and profitable if you can really come up with a tool that actually help with content and not just promises... As far as the resources for tool is concern i don’t really see any detailed resource for it but personally I think it should start with drafting an idea on the paper in detail which discusses the plan, target marketing, technical details, costing, marketing plan and time duration this whole process will take... There are tons of thing you have to bring on the paper like a complete business plan and then move towards creating a team and prototype of the product to convince investors to invest in your idea... Technically may be this resource can help you a bit... but not much! http://www.go2web20.net/#tag:create

  • Anything in the Mozcons will be of super high value, I would also suggest reading John coopers linkbuilding blog on pointblankSEO & getting his linkbuilding course. All really good stuff.

  • I am meeting w them tomorrow afternoon and that is a GREAT idea. I will propose a link at the bottom of the home page to 'site credits' and that page will have information about my business and what we do and how we were honored to be a part of the event, etc. Excellent idea! thanks Davinia Thank you for the other 2 great responses. Wasn't sure if I was missing anything but it doesn't seem like it.

  • This is a perfect example where anecdotal evidence is going to be next to useless. As Irving mentions, so much is going to depend on your website, your target market, your content etc. This is exactly what A/B split testing is for. Don't guess - let your actual potential clients tell you! Set up a split-tested landing page with one variation for each of the two terms. Make sure you assess not just click-through rate, but also quality of generated leads. You could also run a brief Adwords campaign, split-testing between the two terms, to get a very fast picture of which attracts more attention. Again, you'll also want to assess the quality of that attention, not just the quantity. Paul

  • My clients sites aren't dominant (they ARE on the first page) and the market they are competing for isn't terribly competitive either. There is only a few competitors and none of them have ANY real internet presence. Local search is huge for this client. I just didn't want to water down my efforts at video marketing, social media, building links, etc. Thank you VERY much for responding! Matthew

  • Hi Vahe, I would be happy to lend a hand, but first could you possibly re-word you questions a bit? I want to make sure I have a firm understanding of what you are seeking so that I can be the most benefit to you. However I'll do my best to answer your questions as is. I generally tailor my SEO strategy based upon three different variables. Budget Location Industry So for example, you have a new client who is an up and coming law firm, but they are in, lets say South Dakota and they have a monthly budget of $1000 /month. Generally law is a very competitive industry, so I know I'll have to dedicate so much more time and resources to this particular client, driving up my required budget. However since they are located in a location that is not very web savy - very little online competition - I would be more liberal with my budget, and I could relax knowing that something like a guest blogging campaign would work to rank them well. I think what you are asking is "Once I have created a content strategy on the clients website, how do I get more traffic and backlinks to the work I have done on the site?". Again depending on the three variables I mentioned I would either try to guest blog in the similar genre of the content I was producing. Maybe get a little more creative, and have them offer a $2500 essay contest for future law majors, then post the essays on your site and contact colleges to talk about and link to the content rules, and winners on your clients site. I hope I answered your questions. If not please reword your questions and I'll see if I can help. Regards, @bnspak

  • Try your best to remove them and if you receive a message from Webmaster Tools, you would need to let them know in good detail why and who is trying to do this.
