Long Exact Match Domain, or short "Brand" domain?
Google can preach all they like about lessening the weight of EMDs but fact is they still have massive prominence. As long as it's not too long, I'd go for the EMD.

Naming a brand & domain
Yes but i would strongly suggest just having one website and then 301 redirecting the other. I got caught a year ago with 4 different websites all with the same content and links between them and that is straight negative SEO. Brand that baby, and then light it up with SEOmoz tactics : )

Two domains for different countries? or one big domain with folders?
I agree with you. I think down here in venezuela people are not as aware as maybe other countries to figure out that the domain changed. My main worry, as i told moosa is that the client does not have the resources to maintain both sites. I guess using the .com domain was the only way to combine both. The Client it's offers several consulting services, business plans, financial planning, legal consulting etc. thanks

Knowledge Graph for brand term has stopped appearing
No I don't have any experience with this, but I noticed SEOMoz also has a vanity URL -- I tested a few other big companies with local presence to see if any there was any correlation, all had the vanity URL. How do you get the G+ vanity URL? I'll do it and see if I experience anything similar

Need advice on old brand names
I would try to give the customers looking for the old brand names and their services as much as possible the ultimate landing page. This is for SEO and customer value. So having a customer land on a page -this is old find the new- is not optimal. Make sure that from this "brand" page you direct them to the specific vacation they were looking for based on the old brand. I would not direct the value to the homepage. The homepage generally does not rank for all keywords. You need the content. You will prevent the dampening factor to kick in if you make the pages anchor text /brand correct.

Online retailer has old product listing
I'm sure I can outrank the page with modest effort. However, that won't solve the problem. The sale price on the page give value shoppers a false sense of the actual price, and the description that includes "discontinued" gives the impression the product is no longer in production. I need to get the page removed from their database or de-indexed from the SERPs.

How hard is it for a national brand to win for Superlative qualified non-brand keywords?
It's not impossible by any means. It will vary heavily on the keywords and the competition and subsequently if it is worth it based on the search traffic. My recommendation for steps: Identify the phrases you are thinking of Search Keyword Tool on Adwords to identify the search traffic that warrants it Check the competition out for those pages Make a decision on what to optimised based on that

Animated Favicon... Good or Bad Idea?
Hi Branden From what I understand favicons of any kind have no SEO value to them. Favicons have a benefit from a customer point of view if they save your website to favourites/bookmarks they will then be able to identify your website a little easier through the favicon as they will recognise the branding. One question that I don't know the answer to is: will the animated favicon slow down page loading time? If it does I would avoid them as this could have a negative effect in terms of customers interaction with your website. To be honest I'm not sure that it is worth creating an animated version if it is going to take you away from other brand building strategies. Although it could be fun creating them. Hope this helps.

Re-code website and start from scratch?
Hi Brad, Thanks for your comments. I appreciate you views on focusing on the quality content and user experience, its just that after making so many changes with it having little benefit I am at a loss as to what the best options are. We have had no messages regarding links or manual penalties in our WMT. Our domain name is a partial EMD but I am not convinced that this is the issue. The majority of our main competitors have pretty much kept their rankings so I am guessing it may be down to our link profile which we have cleaned up. The only other option(I think) is to re-design the site from the ground up to see if this has a positive impact. I am just concerned about doing more harm than good by taking this approach without understanding clearly the risks involved and what we should be looking out for. Thanks again

Prominent newspaper covered my content but did not link
Then as Tom said, this would help you branding with google and also helps make you backlink profile look more natural, as you would expect big brands to get mentions a lot more than links. I think you will get a hidden boost from this, but I understand nothing beats the instant gratification of a back link

Organic Traffic from irrelevant keywords in GA?
I did a deep dive analysis of this organic traffic from irrelevant keywords again and came to a conclusion that it is coming from a particular Internet Service Provider(ISP) and that too from a particular location only. In-order to explore more in detail, i monitor real time data in Google Analytics for organic traffic in that particular location and i found the same (screenshot attached). As a preventive measure, i have implemented a filter in the GA profile by excluding searches from that Internet Service Provider in GA reports. But this does not seems to be a permanent solution to this issue. Can anyone suggest a solution to fix this issue permanently? jxr8VL6

Should I add follow my followers in a company page on G+ ?
The most important factor to social media for a business is the ability to listen. If you are not following your target market then you rob this chance from yourself. I made an infographic on social media cycle, all be it a very simple one, it is to the point. Social Media Infographic is here

Slow loading Homepage - loads twice (Pingdom)
Well, there's some improvements you can make and some other you can't. First: try using CSS and JS static files, the way you are calling them is using php, which probably doesn't let the machine to save a copy on cahce. Once you manage to serve real static content, you can enhance that by using a CDN, like netdna, or maxcdn. You could also test cloudflare, which also has CDN integrated and other features that will also help with page speed while async loading all JS, preventing any blocking while the HTML is downloaded. Second: you cannot edit/change anything from the twitter, facebook js. Following all suggestions by page speed, you could achieve 95+/100. Try checking the problem and the possible solutions. They even offer reading material to allow anyone to understand what is exactly the issue and possible fixes. Hope that helps!

Social Media Accounts for International Strategies
After considering my answer and Sylvana's, I would go with her solution. Separate pages. She is right, I also like scrolling over fan pages and it could be confusing if posts are in different languages. +1 Sylvana
