Identifying members on Twitter
Hi there! Last time I checked, Twitter didn't have an open API to allow people to search by email addresses. I guess they see this as a potential privacy / spam issue. That means that tools such as Followerwonk aren't able to build the feature you're after. So I think you may be out of luck on this occasion. Perhaps a solution would be to email each of the organisations and invite them to follow you on Twitter? Kind Regards, Andrew

Adult dating site. How can I get people to share content on facebook or google plus..
Greetings Samuel, Good question I would seek to create content that is not strictly adult related but more about the benefits that are possible such as happier love life, finding new relationships and create content around these ideas. You have to play very carefully within Google+, Pinterest and Facebook as they are more than happy to shut down any accounts that get enough reports for sharing inappropriate or self promotional content. Also Facebook will likely flag your ads for review and may not even allow you to run them so buying Facebook likes via their Advertising platform may not be an option. Content will be the long term strategy....

Tweetomatic - Feedback?
Hey James - been a real nightmare since the API update as the plugin that I used doesn't work anymore. Tried your plugin out and it works great. The only thing that I real really annoying is that you have to I purchase the pro version to select how many tweets to display. Quite rare to see plugins like this that aren't free so wondered why you went down that route (as I can imagine it putting a lot of people off - even if it is really cheap - because of the extra hassle of putting in payment details, etc)?

Is a way to analyse historical tweets to find out the global reach of a single tweet?
There isn't a tool that I'm aware of that does exactly this bit Followerwonk comes closest to it. You're able to analyse quite a lot about your tweets on there so would recommend checking it out. Also, Sprout Social is another good tool for Twotter analysis.

Blog posts copied to Facebook or Linked? Any Duplicate Content Issues?
If you want to share your blogpost content on Facebook then the best way is to share it via updates or add the link to the notes. You can also rewrite the summary of the blogpost and add a catchy text so that people click the link to go to your blog. For e.g. Latest trends show that............ To read more on this, click....

What's the value of Twitter and Pinterest links?
Twitter used to help a new site get indexed by Google a little faster, I don't think that it makes much of a difference now. Pinterest links can show up as follow links, and a lot businesses use them to showcase products and link directly back to a product page for conversion. That's better than SEO frankly. Closing the loop for a quicker transaction. I agree that you should focus on using these channels for the value they provide on their own, not for trying to game a particular search. I do think that there is value in SEO for creating these profiles, branded search is still important and it's always good to create potential SERP results for you brand.

Do bitly and owly shares on social media help out my site for SEO?
I was just going to say this. I've seen bit.ly/brand_name show up in backlink searches, same with goo.gl. So if they get indexed, they get treated like a link as a 301 redirect.

Does a 301 retain social actions
They will carryover in whatever form Google has ranked the page. However if you're talking about showing up as a thumbs up or a tweet account no it will not show up you will have to earn those again.

Should I use a Google Plus page or Google Plus for my business?
I have to agree with Rich. I do the same thing. My company page is linked to the site and I am setup as the author using Rel author. I see both my company and my authorship listed when running third party tools.

Which Social Media Plugin Does Moz Use?
Hi Larry, I don't think you'll find any "plugins" on Moz. This site is one helluva of a bootstrap based custom solution. But if you're looking for a nice social plugin for wordpress - I like simple social icons.

Social Management Software
I use buzz bundle. It's awesome. As far as 50+ accounts - i dont have that many clients so I couldn't tell you. I would still check it out though. This review is awesome: http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/reviews/buzzbundle-review-how-i-drive-traffic-to-my-blog/

How do search engines understand what social pages are official pages of my brand? If my Facebook page name is not my brand name (even though there are links from website to page and vice-versa) will that confuse search engines?
Thanks everyone, Christine...we have links follow links directed to our Facebook, Twitter and Google + accounts, however it seems as if you can not verify these accounts without having a "name-brand" or hundreds of thousands of followers. Our main issue is that Open Site Explorer has our Facebook follower count at 2, instead of the actual 800 we have. We believe social followers, shares and other interactions are a large part of SEO and would like to figure out how to get accurate reads on our social accounts.

Best Way to Promote Self Hosted Videos?
Thanks for your answer and useful tips. Totally agree with your point about seeing the content. However, we really want to keep it under wraps until the launch. The vast majority of the videos are very funny in the context of the website and not necessarily as amazing as a stand alone YouTube video. After some consideration and further research we are going self hosted. I think that going for a slow burning approach will benefit our site more, hopefully bringing in social/links over a period of time. Any viral instances would be a bonus! Thanks again. Richard

In 2013 is guest blogging a worthwhile activity?
It sounds like you’ve never gone down this route yourself. I have never given my content away... but lots of people have given their content to me. I have one of the stronger sites in my niche and when they give me their content, my site then usually ranks above theirs for all of the keywords targeted by the content that they gave to me. And my site is then going to rank above them for these keywords Permanently. Giving your content to a stronger site is not good if you are competing for the keywords in that content. However, if your goal is simply to "get a message in front of as many people as possible" then giving your content away - even to competitor sites will increase your visibility overall. Those are the types of people who usually want me to publish their content. If I rank above them they are OK with that even if I cut off their traffic. Don’t you think that Tom’s opinion about guest posting can be useful for online relationships between websites of a similar subject... I am not out to build "relationships" with my competitors, I am out to beat them. If you are simply trying to "get a message out" then relationships are fine. If you have really good content and you want to get traffic then expose it to social media. If your content is really that good it can be like tossing gasoline on a fire. But, if you give that same article to your competitor... you have just tossed gasoline onto his fire. ...maybe Google is not as keen to reward this kind of activity regarding links in the article but I’m not sure if that’s true. Lots of people right now have Penguin problems from all of the guest posting that they have done.

Is my authorship working?
Hi Demetrios, I'm not sure if this has been answered as it is coming up unanswered; however, I just tested it and it appears to be working correctly for the /news/ page (http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.studentdebtrelief.us%2Fnews%2F); however, the author tag is not on your main domain. If you add it to your main domain as well, I believe it will resolve all of your problems. Thanks, Christine DeGraff

Can no longer access my google + profile
Hi Jesus, Business profiles are owned by G+ accounts, you will either need to access the account that controls the page or have that person (that owns the account) removing it or changing the owner. If none of those options are possible, then you will need to move on and create a new page. You can read more here: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/2624004?hl=en Hope that helps!
