Flash and SEO
I think Richard put it best. I will add that we have a small flash video on our site, but that's it. Everything from navigation, content, etc, is HTML based. From the SEOmoz conference in March we heard that things are pretty much the same: Google still doesn't do a great job with flash.

H1 Tag, necessary or not? Hidden or not?
Thank you to everyone for their feedback. I appreciate it.

Which ecommerce platform is best for SEO?
Interspire Shopping Cart. Built in SEO is excellent! (Though the support are a touch slow in a number of other areas.) With Interspire and a good domain name I get a great number of extremely good rankings on the first page of the SERPS (alongside the likes of Amazon.co.uk) for almost every one of our targeted keywords. Do not overlook this solution, or their hosted version www.BigCommerce.com NOTE: SEO 'GURU' Aaron Wall had some involvement (as a consultant?) in the SEO aspects of Interspire too.

Parked Domain or Redirect
Not, if an "Add on" domain resolves that typing the added-on domain, you finally are redirected to your primary domain, and if that redirection is 301 (permanent). If the domains you want to redirect are totally new, that means that probably they do not have any history and therefore any backlink and link juice to gift to your primary one. In this case, also a 302 redirection (a not permanent) is not SEO harmful.

Javascript changing URL - Thoughts?
I agree, harder to get seo value. Better to keep things as clean as possible, seo is hard enough as it is...

How WP Themes work with Navigation Structure for SEO and JQuery Headers?
If it is built into the framework - Genesis from StudioPress for example - it should turn itself off when it detects a dedicated SEO plugin - for other SEO plugins I would deactivate them first to prevent conflicts. Yoast's plugin will manage everything you need including a great sitemap generator - which works well where others fail (in heavily modified wordpress installs such as Appthemes Classipress for example.)

Wordpress templates
If you're unable to accomplish what you need with Artisteer, then Headway may be an ideal solution for you. I agree wholeheartedly on Yoast's SEO package, BTW.

Outsourcing Content - Finding Superior Providers...
If you believe you can provide this type of quality then repost in this thread and tell me and I will contact those of you who can for a sample order and select who I will use. Jared, You came into this thread asking a very different question. Now you are soliciting us like we are content shops. That's not a recipe for winning. Please reread my replies to your question above. It directed you to find a person who is already an effective writer and proven expert in your field. These are people who write about a topic because they are experts who love the topic. Not a person who needs to do a pile of research to meet the minimums of what you perceive to be good content. Your post above tells me that you think that content in a specific field is a commodity that you can buy from almost any vendor for a few dollars per article and threaten the provider with bad feedback if the try to give you spin. If you are looking for filler content you can probably get that for a few bucks per article and it will often be spin. it will not attract links or climb the rankings. My suggestion is to find the expert and be willing to pay several hundred dollars, maybe a couple thousand for one piece of best-on-the-web content. Then promote that content like the treasure that it is. If you want content experts who can do the above you must go out and find them not advertise. That's my experience.

Meta author. Is it relevant for website design company in its seo?
Rel Author is not for developers. It's for the author of the content.

Is it necessary to redirect every Error page (404 or 500) found?
There are a few reasons this can happen. Each tool crawls the web at different times and see different things. I would recommend at least investigating any issues you find regardless of which tool you used to discover it. Personally, I would pay good money for a tool from Google which used their algorithms and data, but that isn't an option so we do the best we can with the available tools. Google WMT and SEOmoz crawl reports are two parts of that solution for me.

How to work with US Website and UK Website?
You don't want the content to be the same, it's still dupe even if in different countries (even if in different languages from what I've read on here once) and whatever you do... don't have a pop up that asks people to choose a country when the page/portal first loads up. Lot's of sites seem to be doing that now with some CMS plug-in, not realising that it makes it difficult for the site to be crawled (Googlebot can't choose and click, etc...). Maybe have a call to action for people to choose location, but don't force it on page load. I would keep them on their current servers, if you move one to be hosted with the other it will likely affect the rankings for that countries serps. Don't forget to 301 EVERYTHING!!! So when you change any addresses with the new page URL's you don't lose link juice, etc...

Recommendation for a company to make a site more mobile friendly?
Thanks Donnie, yeah I contacted Cindy... just didn't know if there was mobile SEO only, instead of Mobile UX. But it sounds like she deals with both.

Is the server or host a metric for SERPs? Amazon Webstore a plus?
Ditto - I sell on Amazon too, but use my own site to sell as well. Amazon opens up a whole new market that I wouldn't otherwise have, so I deal with their fees, but you have to have multiple distribution points. Going back to what i said earlier. Be sure you read all of the terms and conditions of using their Webstore. I love Amazon, but they have tricky lawyers just like anyone else

Javascript Redirects
Great thoughts, thank you. I agree that companies really don't have SEO in mind when creating many tools. Some very useful tools are that way. There is a balance of options here - the benefit they see from using test and target (and they have seen great results improving userability on the site and refining their processes. It has created great efficiency that have led to improved site conversions), and the SEO factor. I guess what I'm looking for is a few things: 1. What are the effects of using hidden div tags and javascript redirects. 2. Possible ways to mitigate any negative effects in my rankings of those pages. From what I have read (and just the story of my SEO life) is that there really isn't much surety when it comes to this...no one seems to know exactly what will happen. I guess I'm looking for someone who has used hidden div tags or javascript redirects and how that has affected their ranking on those specific pages...as well as the site as a whole.

Will opening in a New Window pass all link juice?
Does anyone else have anything to add to this? I figured it wasn't a big deal. Just wanted to check. Am I missing anything before we go ahead and implement this feature into our site?
