Any ideas why our category pages got de-indexed?
Thanks Ryan. This makes a lot of sense. We'll definitely work on issue #2 and see if we can't limit the number of links on this page.

Why is my client's website, ranking higher for serps on bing and yahoo for competitive keywords
Different search engines use different ranking factors to determine the position of webpages in their SERPs. That is a fact. I think that google has done a better job of ranking this website for the "private jet charter" query while bing and yahoo seem to be influenced by the keyword domain. btw..... Are you trying to hide text off the bottom of the page?

Re-directing old domains to New Domains
Hi SEOCM, (apologies for the lack of paragraphing here, doesn't work on an iPad). Note: Keri added paragraph marks, and the iPad issue is in our bug queue. (Thank you) Q1) and Q2) If the redirect was done correctly (a 301 permanent redirect in effect) then Most of the previous website's strength will be applied to your new website, there is some loss though, usually varies between a 5% and 20% loss. A 301 redirect tells the search engines that the move is permanent, so Google after a fairly short while, recognises this new site as the new home of the previous site. Q3) Keywords in Domains are believed to now not have as much ranking weight as they used to. Most of the old website's overall strength will be applied to the new website rather than say an individual keyword in the previous domain. So don't worry, so long as the migration from the old site to the new one was done correctly, you'll likely get the maximum benefit that you can. Regards, Simon

What do you think of Google SERP encryption?
Maybe it's partly because most of my visitors came from Google.ca, but at this moment, "not provided" is under 0,5% of my search traffic.

SEO updates and rank changes
The URLs did not change - the traffic has not plummeted dramatically (slightly yes, but not dramatically) - the rankings for words (like the example "organic t shirts") have dropped however.

Dramatic drop after rapid rise for new site
There is not any direct actin you can take other then to contact the source of any spammy links and request their removal. Indirectly, you can earn quality links to dilute the bad ones in your profile. Most sites will have some spammy links to them. It is perfectly natural. The question is what percent of the links to a given site are spammy.

Can someone explain a few hopefully simple questions for me please
You have a few link juice leaks though unessasary 301 redirects, every 301 leaks link juice so if you dont need then youy should avoid. take this redirect The link to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/blog" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/blog/". you have added a "/" using a 301, but why not link directly to the final url in the first place and stop the leak. here is another The link to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/images/blacktriangle.gif" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/images/BlackTriangle.gif". you see the diff in capitalization, you need to link directly to the final url again. if i was you i would 301 all urls to lowercase, the it is easy to remember how to write them when making links, others will also generaly link to you using lowere case You have 78 cases like this. You also have a few missing descriptions and some non-relevent link text, "more" , never waste link text, get a keyword in there. email me i will send you a list of the errors i spoted.

How useful is a mobile version of your site (for SEO sake)?
I doubt if phone users are serious buyers. I would make sure you have a lot of other things in place before worring too much about making money from phone users. If you have the 98% under conrol, then you can spend time and effort chacing the remaining 2%

Risks associated with having multiple similar ecom sites together under the same analytics account?
Thanks Maxwell, We're very cognizant of dupe content, but thanks for the advice! Im leaning towards the second response as well, but better safe than sorry (which is why I'm asking). I've heard the first response "split traffic, etc" more from affiliates who run networks. While I wouldn't say we do the same, we definitely work with / have affiliate programs. Any and all additional responses welcome!
