How to Tell if an Image is Indexed
This won't help with the image question but you can see Google Property data in Google Analytics by going to: Traffic Sources>Search Engine Optimization>Queries and then selecting the secondary dimension of 'Google Property'.

Does Link Exchanges and Reciprocal Links Is Dead - Now Days ?
The best way to build links is to get your feet wet. Your company can do real things that are newsworthy for PRs, like charities or any other events this can help you earn some quality links to your site. Another idea is to find niche related blogs and ask the editor if you can guest blog n their site. The best way to build links or more importantly create authority is by adding a blog to your site and creating content that users in your niche or who enter your site are most likely looking for. Also get other niche related authoritative people (An author of a book or a master of this trade) to get involved with you site and help you share it.

Does Word Order Matter in Local Keywords?
It will vary per niche and geography, so in general no I cannot say. With some phrases, the industry, and language people use will affect the volume. I would say find a set of local variations that you can rank for (perhaps a bit longer tailed) and compare them... but either way optimizing for both can provide good value.

Increase of Directory websites in SERPs
Yup I fully understand this, I belive that they are high authority sites with needed content and deserve high rankings. I just found it weird that they were once spread out below the average 'Joe' website but now seem to be clumped together in their rightly deserved positions. I find it entertaining trying to explain to client that it is near off impossible to rank in top 5 for <service><location>style queries while sites like this exist, the information I provide them just does not sink in.</location></service> Thank you for your reply.

SEO Budgets, the million dollar question???
Great responses from Robert and Andy below that pretty much cover a lot of what you need to think about. I don't know your industry and how competitive it is or your market and how broad that is (local / regional / national / world) so any real targeted advice is tough. Also, Looking at your budget, you are not going to get a lot of SEO for £750 a month from an established agency. If you want content and links developing that kind of figure is just not going to do the job if you outsource it. You could consider taking on an apprentice or someone interested in Internet Marketing and wanting to cut their teeth. This way, you could get a full time resource, someone who can tap into the masses of information out there and really do something with it. If you can find someone who can research and write content and is happy with the more technical side of things as well great but the focus should be on someone who can create the kind of content you need to broaden your scope and earn you links. There is just so much good information out there that if someone can come into your business, learn what you do and then use that knowledge to create valuable content, big content and promote it socially and via outreach to get links then certainly, six months with an approach like that will benefit you far more than six days with an agency over a six month time period. You could potentially even use an agency to come up with a six month plan for you with a mind to have an in house Consider the link bait guide from Distilled. Primarly produced by Ed Fry, a 16 year old intern. It has now earned around 500 links. This is not only a great resource for someone with a lot of time it is also a great example of what can be accomplished with time and dedication. My advice would be to think about getting an intern for six months. Work with an agency to fashion a plan involving search, social, content, outreach etc and then use your intern to do the graft. Some interesting reading from this perspective: http://www.distilled.net/linkbait-guide/ http://www.seomoz.org/blog/the-noob-guide-to-online-marketing-with-giant-infographic-11928 http://www.seomoz.org/blog/the-noob-guide-to-link-building In this game you have to be practical and whilst skill and experience count for a lot on the strategic end, you can't get away from the need to do some great work to create the content and then the talk required to get the message out and get people to link to it and all of that takes time and effort. I go into how to hustle for links a bit more here: http://www.bowlerhat.co.uk/blog/earning-links-work-talk-hustle/ Hope that helps! Marcus P.S. Avoid the $99 package - that can't be any kind of good.

How to get global search results on Google ? Also, is it possible to get results based on some other geographic location?
Hello, 1. Choose the Google domain: .com / .co.uk / .au and so on. If you are redirected type /ncr at the end of the address. 2. Search for something, then look at Show search tools - left of the screen. 3. At All Results you will have an option called: Custom Location 4. Write the city and search Ps. It's better if you delete your history before that and log out of your account. The end.

How to prevent my search results being affected by the previous searches I have made ?
Hi There Check out a blog post here on SEOmoz entitled "Face-off - 4 Ways to De-personalize Google" Adding &pws=0 to the end of the search query URL in the address bar should do it for you (without having to log out of your Google account). Regards Simon

How do I rank higher in Bing/Yahoo?
Have you registered your site with Bing Webmaster Tools? From there you can get an idea of how they are viewing your site, get notification of any issues, and work toward fixing things to get your site content in good standings with what they want.

Similar URLs
i think that is better to have a unique page with many sections: 1) monthly unemployment rate 2) annual unemployment rate so you may avoid having two pages poorly positioned in the search engine respect one page that a well positioned because have a good content Maurizio

PR Directory Vs Non PR Directory
You can consider any ethical link building techniques, like, 1. Link back from blog (not blog-networks), web 2.0 sites. 2. Guest posting (consider it to be of high-value) 3. Local web-directory submission with full information. (ex. locanto, hot frog etc.) 4. Article submission (Yes its still works in some cases) to high pr, clean directories but not too many. 5. Link back from relevant sites to your niche. And more over try to maintain a natural link ratio for your site.

Google Places/Points of Interest Rankings?
Hi, this info I pulled out from Google Support, Hope it helps: Ranking of Google Places listings Google Maps search results are based primarily on relevance, distance, and prominence. These factors are combined to help us find the best match for your search. For example, our search technology might decide that a business that's farther away from your location is more likely to have what you're looking for than a business that's closer. Here's more detail on what relevance, distance, and prominence mean: Relevance: Relevance is how well a local listing matches what someone is searching for. A complete and detailed listing in Places can help us better understand your business and match you to relevant search results. Distance: Just like it sounds -- how far is each potential search result from the location term used in a search? If you don't specify a location in your search, we'll calculate distance based on what we know about your location. Prominence: This describes how well-known or prominent a listing can be. This is based on information we have about a business from across the web (like links, articles, and directories). Some places are more prominent in the offline world, and we try to reflect this online as well. For example, famous museums, landmark hotels, or well-known store brands that are familiar to many people are also likely to be more prominent in search results. Google Maps and Google Places are free services, so there's no way to request or pay for a better ranking. In addition, we do our best to keep the details of the algorithm confidential in order to make the ranking system as fair as possible for everyone. Thanks, Russel
