Best way to migrate to a new URL structure
Alan response is great, but if by any chance you are using wordpress and want to migrate to a new permalink structure I would recommand this plugin. This will allow you to change your URL structure and put in place de redirections for one another.

Member request pages, indexed or no indexed?
Some of your traffic is converting though. Be a shame to lose that. I'm thinking content along the lines of "making smart buying choices today, can save you $$$ in the future" or "Understanding the hidden costs of..." Any buying guides you can offer that they can take-away (with your branding/link on?) It's easy to overlook the long game. Good luck!

Losing Positions
Hi Jamo, Thanks for the detailed explanation of what is happening on your site. Let's start at the beginning. You say your rankings recently dropped. There could be several obvious explanations. 1. Changed title tags. Title tags are one of the most important on-page ranking factors. If you changed your title tags too much, you might have lost some rankings there. Generally, the first few words of a title tag are the most important - the closer a word is to the beginning the more weight it carries. So if you changed a lot of words at the beginning of you titles, you may have gotten yourself in trouble. On the other hand, if you mostly changed words at the end of the title tags, this probably did little harm. 2. An algorithm change. It's possible Google Panda or the Page Layout update threw an algorithmic penalty at you. As others have mentioned, if this is the case, the only solution is to fix your layout, wait several weeks and hope for the best. Oh, and read this: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/donna-on-big-adsense-earners 3. Something else? Unfortunately, any change you made on-site, changes in your backlink profile and changes in the algorithm, or a combination of these factors could have caused your site to drop. We've seen a lot of turbulence in the SERPs the past year and Google is really shaking things up. Sometimes you can't figure it out, no matter what you do. In this case, it's best to move forward and continue to build a site worth visiting. Sometimes you can't fix what went wrong, but you can always build something better.

How do you use local keywords naturally in a sentence?
One thing that I've discovered is that you can use punctuation in the middle of a keyword phrase. So, for example, if you were trying to rank for dry cleaners Birmingham you could have a line of text like this: "When looking for dry cleaners, Birmingham has lots of options." or "We have lots of experience as dry cleaners. Birmingham is an amazing city and we are happy to serve our many customers." Those are not the best examples, by I think you get my point though.

Will changing my wordpress permalinks add SEO value?
Based on the examples, I believe it would be well worth it. As indicated in several areas of SEOMoz, particularly the pro campaigns they list having the keyword in the url. I do believe that the 301's will pass on existing juice, but it will be more beneficial moving forward in the future. On the campaign pages > On-Page Optimization> Moderate Importance Factors <dt>Explanation</dt> <dd>Keywords in the URL string help to add relevancy to the page for search engine rankings, assist searchers and users in identifying the page's content/topic when viewing the URL and provide value when used as the anchor text of referring links.</dd> <dt>Recommendation</dt> <dd>Employ the targeted keyword(s) in the URL string of the page. If you're targeting a 2+ word phrase, use hyphens to separate individual words.</dd>

Quick Survey - How much would you pay for a blog post?
Ok - let me put this another way - Your an SEO company right - I assume blog posting on your clients niche is part of what you offer as part of your SEO services? If your in business I assume you charge for this service - therefore it has a value (in $ terms) to both you and your client. What I am asking is how you would put a value on this service as you obviously would need to put a value on it to invoice you client.

Can I compete with these results? (Brand in Serp)
Some companies/organizations dominate with multiple domains. If you search for "national geographic' you will see multiple domains. I doubt that anyone could earn the #2 spot.

Does Google prefer Wordpress Blogs?
I thought it would if anything prefer its own blogging programme BlogSpot?

How to handle a server outage if I have two sites
I would also use a 302. As long as it doesn't last too long, you should be OK. If you think it may last longer, you could change your DNS to point to the other location, but you should drop your TTL on DNS so it is a fast changeover to move it back. This kind of thing is best set up and tested when there are no problems, on another domain, and then test it for real sometime when you have worked out exactly what to do.

Why PR does not grow?
First, I wouldn't even look at Google PageRank. Google isn't consistent with updates, and it isn't a good measurement tool. Focus on SEOmoz's Page Authority and Domain Authority. This will give you much more insights to what is going on. And with looking at metrics on www.opensiteexplorer.org, you only have 302 links coming in and a Page Authority of 48 (out of 100) and Domain Authority of 39. Looks like your overall domain doesn't have a very good Linkscape which is why you have low PA and DA, and maybe why your Google PageRank is still low. Your Domain MozTrust and MozRank are very low as well. Looks like you should investigate the quality and types of links you have coming in, and focus on building quality relative links.
