If I hired you/your company to do my SEO ...
Category pages are PR0. They are higher competition and therefore harder to rank. If the site is new it might take some time to build up juice and trust.

Disavowel tool.
Yes thats how I tried to contact them. I haven't recieved a message from WMT but the drop first started in April and google only recently said they sent messages for 100% of MANUAL penalties by August or so and haven't ever said EVERYBODY with unnatural links got a message. I think it's clear that the linking structure LOOKS unnatural. question is, assuming I can't get them to remove the links, do I disavow?

'Select your country' page leading to high Temporary Redirects
Hi Zeph, The select your country only appears for product search results or product pages as it determines the country specific price. Before we had the country selector as the first page upon visiting our website but that annoyed visitors as there were resource rich pages on our site and not everyone might be interested in products pages. The thinking was to only show the country selector if the page visiting required it (price) Another way we looked at it was a user might land on a resource page from a search engine, again popping the country selector would be unnecessary. Once they accepted their country, the cookies will store and won't show this option anyone.

New Website Launch - Traffic Way Down
Hi. Marie is right in what she says regarding there being many possible reasons but my main guess is that you have either been hit by Panda or that your old site had better content. Firstly I would say that if you have had a technical site audit carried out that it was either a poor quality one or that you haven't actioned the recommendations. There are two full versions of your site on different domains:- http://www.waytekwire.com http://order.waytekwire.com These domains mirror each other exactly and both home pages are claiming to be the canonical version. The content is extremely thin and your site is pretty much an example of what the original penguin update was released to combat. This product for example has no description and no worthy content on the page - http://www.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5-/ This product is not alone on your site, most of your products have no descriptions. Also your site is suffering from a common ecommerce issue of your products being viewable with or without a trailing slash and there is no canonical tag in the source to say which is the canonical version. i/e:- http://www.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5-/ http://www.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5- Show the same content. in fact the same content is shown on all of these urls :- http://www.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5-/ http://www.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5- http://waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5-/ http://waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5- http://order.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5-/ http://order.waytekwire.com/item/48006/LED-CLEARANCE-MARKER-1-5- As Marie says, there could many possible reason for your ranking drop, my guess is that it is a combination of multiple reasons. Until you get the very basics sorted you are going to struggle in cracking this issue. My best advice would be to pay for a really good site audit and follow through every recommendation. Failing that, sort out your site canonicalisation issues and give every single product a good description. Really sorry for the bad news but hopefully it helps point you in the right direction. All the best. Ade.

How is the Top URL for Colorado Springs Realtors ranking for that term?
I agree with the response to utilizing social media - especially Google+. This has provided a noticeable increase in traffic for a local real estate agent in our area as well as utilizing Google Maps.

Increasing Search Queries
Nov 5th 2012 is the exact data of the 21st Google Panda rollout! Are you a victim of it? May be, because the date is exactly the same data when Google rolled out hte update on Panda. Here is the like to it! http://www.seroundtable.com/google-panda-21-15918.html I guess when you need to do is to figure out what quires are lost and what pages were ranking against it.. once done, start fixing the pages in terms of on-page and content and get more natural links to it and most probably things will go good with you again!

How do I create a strategy to get rid of dupe content pages but still keep the SEO juice?
Thanks for getting back to me! Even if you do the dynamic meta data, that does not sound like a lot of duplication can be avoided between the 30,000 city/state pages. That's the reason we are considering this new strategy, where we have essentially 300 unique pages, but we dynamically generate the city/state. Is the content on these pages unique ? I mean the set of products returned, are they just unique collections or what ? The content is unique, to a point. The pricing varies by region, but the actual products are the same. You said these pages are showing up as duplicate content ? Where are they showing as duplicate content ? They are showing up as dupe content on the seomoz report. Not sure if that's what you mean? Do your stronger pages, homepage, category pages rank for your head keywords ? Do they rank very very well ? Not sure what you're asking exactly. How do I find out what my head keywords are? It really depends upon the overall domain authority and what other stuff is going on your website. Over PR is about a 5 right now.

Sub Domains vs. Persistent URLs
It's not the end of the world, but definitely more expensive. As you probably know, the folder microsite gets most of the root domain's authority, while a sub-domain doesn't get anything at all, or just a fraction of the authority; therefore, you'll need to invest more in content, links, social factors, etc.

Can Google Read Text in Carousel
Hi There, They best way to check can Google Bot crawl your text is to Fetch page as Google. You can do this in your webmaster panel. If you will be able to read the text yourself then google will not have any problems to do the same. Meanwhile as I know Google has no problems in reading code in Jquery. Here is some additional information from Google support: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=158587 Hope it helps, Cheers, Russel

My PR 4 website won't rank for keywords that have very weak competition
Google recently devalue and valued EMDs, depending on the content. What you would need to do is focus more on connecting with your users. Always creating fresh and unique content can gather links and a following. This will always in return give you links and consistent traffic. At this point I can point a few things you can fix immediately. -Complete the website -Remove 'admin' as author, give you site a name and face -Decide what niche and what crowd you are trying to attract -Learn and observe how other sites similar to your niche are successful Hope this gives you an idea of what to do. You can always read up on the SEOmoz blog, a lot of contributors provide great and insightful information.

How to resubmit a Web 2.0 site to Google?
John In that case, unfortunately there's not much you can do. If their main domain or network has been penalized and you are part of it, there's not much you can do about it unfortunately.
