Is Wordpress Website Backup Service Worth the Investment?
I agree with Salem, UpdraftPlus is the way to go, though I'd pay for the premium versions as you get support & help for $1 per week,

Is SEO affected when changing from siteA.example.edu to siteB.example.edu/siteA?
Based on what I understand to be your question, no, just make sure that you have 301 redirects in place. I'd question the need to still use subdomains though

Search Console Change of Address Tool Issue
If "ALL" of your pages on example.com are migrating to somewhere on newsite.com, the one approach you could take would be to use the change of address at the domain level, and then set up redirects specifically on newsite.com for each of the old file paths. This would not be relevant if example.com is still going to be around. But if it is going away, then this approach would do what you want.

Keyword in URL - SEO impact
Hi JK, Thanks for the reply. First of all, this is an old article, and many (if not all) of the information given has changed in Google search algorithms. In the case you are describing, in nowadays SEO (2019), I'd suggest you not to focus on having any keyword weight in the domain/subdomain. Keep both services in the same domain, under the same company name. Google will understand that its the same company offering two services. Of course, you should have different pages for both services. Probably would be of help, creating really good content to give context and use internal linking to tell Google which are your main pages and targeted search terms. Hope it helps. Best luck. Gaston

Google Rank 0 - Best way?
My links on P0 are allways cutted, at least I have some links in the content, seems that it doesn't matter or wont hurt you. For the optimization: Izzy Smith did a pretty useful presentation (https://tech-seo.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Practical-Insights-into-Winning-Rich-and-Featured-Snippets.pdf) and at MOZ of course there are a lot of things about that topic - i love this one: https://moz.com/blog/what-we-learned-analyzing-featured-snippets. Idk what you mean with Keywordlimit, but maybe the two blue Links will answer your question. Optimization for P0 is less Keyword-thinking, more about get the User Intent and answer the questions.

Google Pagination Changes
It's likely that they will be valued a bit less but the effects shouldn't be drastic. Even if you just had one massive page with all products on the ones at the top would likely get more juice anyway If it's a crazy big concern, think about a custom method to sort your products

Google-selected canonical makes no sense
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that makes sense, and that was my recommendation to add noindexing. I'm just curious about how and why Google decided that our canonical is not worth it

Anchor Test (do follow link)
The truth is that no one knows, but greedy people often do get hit and stung by Google I certainly wouldn't exceed 20%. To be honest, I personally wouldn't build ANY EMA (exact-match anchor) links at all. I'd just build 'good links' and then let my own site's internal link structure, re-distribute the new PageRank as appropriate I'd only use brand or part-brand part-product links. I wouldn't use exact match keyword links (ever)

Creating two websites from one and building up traffic to the new domain quickly
Again, the thing is that the client has made the decision and he definitely wants to do this. I'm not planning to fight it any further as I've already explained to him the difficulties and he appreciates them and has made the decision to do it anyway. The new site won't be exactly the same, but it will have broadly the same set of products, albeit described in a very different way. The situation is undoubtedly difficult and undesirable, that's for sure. But the client has made a business decision and now we have to find the best way through it.

Cleaning up a Spammy Domain VS Starting Fresh with a New Domain
Disavowing has nothing to do with traffic. Disavowing is all about spam signals from spammy links. That and only that.

Ecommerce Migration - Criteria To Redirecting Products
As Alex & MrWhippy said, if structure urls --regex is best. If you can't use regex and have to redirect that many, will impact speed of the site. You can do it w/the include directive in httpd.conf. Good luck.

Why some domains and sub-domains have same DA, but some others don't?
Hey! DA scores are specific to the root domain, we are not taking into account a subdomain. So even if you search a subdomain that doesn't exist (ffff.blog.ir), DA score is still only relevant to the root domain (blog.ir) which does exist. Page Authority on the other hand is specific to the exact page you are searching, so it makes sense that mihanblog.com and hfilm.mihanblog.com would have different page authority scores are they are separate pages. Hope that helps, let me know if you have further questions.

Should I apply Canonical Links from my Landing Pages to Core Website Pages?
Thank you for the responses! Because the actual content on the page isn't seen as duplicate (or anything close using boolean string similarity tools) I think I am just going to differentiate the metadata and try to focus on improving the content on the organic pages. Thanks for your help!

Can I undo a 301 redirect? Will it penalize my ranking?
I know this has been a couple of years, but just a heads up that we've written a more permanent resource about this question on the Moz blog (as it seems to come up periodically): Can You Reverse A 301 Redirect?

Upgarded woocommerce 2 to 3 and saw a large drop in rank
H Olegi, We lost traffic to all areas. Robots are the same, canonicals seem fine. There are a lot more url's that seem to be the various sized thumbnail images. Now we are suffering heavily from the March update. Thanks,

Incomplete Redirect for Domain Migration?
Alan, Spot checking, I looked at a few of your redirected old domain pages which are still showing up in the index. Here are my thoughts: For the ones which are redirected properly, you might be experiencing a ranking dip because the old domain name contained keywords better matching search terms. for example, if a search contains "office" or "space", it could be that your old domain was perceived by Google as a stronger match. Although Google doesn't place as much weight on exact or partial match domain names as was once the case, it is still a ranking factor, from my recent experience. URLs such as http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/neighborhoods seem to be properly redirected. From what I can tell, the redirects look fine. Other URLs such as http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/Chelsea are being redirected to a non-existent page, with a 404 error. Probably because you are using a pattern redirect which is preserving the requested file path. For any of these which previously had rank equity, I would put some effort into redirecting to some relevant existing page. I do see that your old URLs here http, and the new ones were https. The redirects are working fine, but you might want to check that when you did the change of address, it was on the http version of the old property (to the new domain). Even though we're not supposed to use change of address to go from http to https migrations, it is still necessary to change the address from the specific version of the old property. So, if you previously had both http and https versions of your old property, you want to make sure you've done the change of address tool for the http one.
