Entities and SEO
Good to know I am thinking along the right lines The only thing I don't understand is what you mean by "The corpus isn't the keyword though, it's the body of text which you check the keyword against". My idea of for example is to take the word / entity "Petite France" and explain google which one I am talking about (as a human I am limited I only know of one but google has such a database that it knows many and unless I explain it, it doesn't know which one I am talking about, is that correct ? For google Petite France (according to Wikidata is a cheese is South Africa as well as area in Strasbourg (which is the one I want to talk about) etc... My question is how do explain the Petite France in Strasbourg, is is by using the word district nearby that entity... or if the word district isn't used in the corpus by the people that rank on the keyword I am going after it won't work ? Is that the idea ? Thank you,

Why isn't our complete meta title showing up in the Google SERPS? (cut off half way)
Three methods using modules on your existing CMS of implementing the fixes. I use labels A, B & C three different configurations C is the least expensive I think all three of them would add a lot of value however you would be very safe using A or C A) **1) all-in-one with canonical ** https://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-natural-search-engine-optimization/41644-essential-seo-all-in-one-tools-by-experts.html 2) JSON-LD https://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-natural-search-engine-optimization/31857-seo-structured-data-schema-markup-rich-snippet.html B) 1) Add a canonical tag to your site https://addons.prestashop.com/en/url-redirects/22526-canonical-seo.html 2) open graph https://addons.prestashop.com/en/products-on-facebook-social-networks/19002-open-graph-protocol-social-seo.html 3) JSON-LD https://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-natural-search-engine-optimization/31857-seo-structured-data-schema-markup-rich-snippet.html or C ) 1) Add a canonical tag to your site https://addons.prestashop.com/en/url-redirects/22526-canonical-seo.html 2) This module offers structured data/JSON-LD Facebook and Twitter open graph tag redirects Site maps etc. a base SEO suite without a canonical tag found above. https://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-natural-search-engine-optimization/24387-everest-seo.html#overview This video is of the all-in-one module without the canonical tag unfortunately but it's the least expensive of the two. https://youtu.be/q3cQICHPypQ I hope this wasn't confusing I would choose A or C it will really help your site. All the best, Tom

Can Google Crawl & Index my Schema in CSR JavaScript
Same Question: I know Google has a Structured Data Testing Tool here: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/ I don't think it works with Client-Side content, so just wondering if there is another way to test?

Anyone Care to Share Some SEO Tricks for Competitive Industries?
Have you done a side-by-side comparison of your client and his top competitors? Things I'd be looking for: Are his top competitors specialists in the topics you want to rank for whereas your client is more of a generalist? What is your client's online reputation relative to the competition? Is the sentiment positive, neutral, or negative? How does their anchor text compare? Are the topics you want to rank for included in the link text? Do competitors have keywords in their domain name? I know that's not a ranking factor, but it often translates into incoming anchor text with those topics / keywords which IS a ranking factor. Is the content on your client's site organized around the key topics he wants to be known for? Is your client listed as its author? So, no tricks or hacks. Just a few things I look for when in this situation.

My site is not ranking at all.
Thanks for investing your time mate. No, I didn't experience the traffic drop with any algorithm update. As I mentioned, I had shifted my site from .in to .com and also with that, server locations got changed. When I had .in domain, it was ranking and I was quite satisfied with the rank. I was ranking 5 out of 1 articles, but now, It not happens. I've noindexed those pages, because they were not adding any value to my ranking and site, instead causing the duplicate issue problem. Do you recommend me changing the current domain name? Any help would be appreciated.

Changing website with country-specific TLD to unlisted. How?
Hi Julio, As long as you have a cc-TLD will not be able to change its target for country-specific. Dont worry about that, you are not in any danger or whatsoever. Best luck Gaston

Topical keywords for product pages and blogs
I wouldn't call these 3 pages 'duplicate content'. The way I see it is that it's fine to have a topic cluster where several pages/blog posts cover the whole topic. The key is to help Google understand which is the most relevant page for the head term. To know which page Google thinks is the most relevant for that term currently, do a {site:website.com "floor heating"} search and the first result is the page with the most relevance in Google's eyes. If it's not the product page, then I'd work on the following items: Make sure that all floor heating posts link back to the floor heating product page with 'floor heating' as the anchor text. Test different title tags on the product page including a test where 'floor heating' is in the title tag twice. [*gasp! Did he just say that?] Yes. I did. And it doesn't hurt to test it. Just monitor the CTR as well in Google Search Console. Test adding a paragraph or two of content to the product page and, yes, do include the keyword 'floor heating'. It can be placed below everything else. Just monitor the conversion rate of the page of course. If it doesn't hurt conversions but helps rankings, then it's a win. With all these tests, you can always revert back to the pre-test state without hurting anything. Create more blog posts that answer more floor heating questions for this topic cluster, making sure to link back to the topic head product page accordingly. Get a few more backlinks to the product page with some keyword rich anchor text. I'm not saying that all your links should be keyword stuffed but I've found that since Panda, SEOs have gone too far the other direction where almost none of their links contain anchor text. Good luck! Boyd

Mazen is right. Typically take a few weeks. Makes sure you annotate the date on your analytics account when you upload and monitor. Good luck and be patient.

Suddenly keywords Disappeared from Google Search Results
Doing a "site:" search for your website shows that there are over 90k pages sitting in the index. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but at least the site is properly indexed. I'm not sure what you mean by "how can i change my content" - this is a WordPress site, so I'm assuming adding/changing content isn't a difficult task since you have what appears to be a well-built site.

Organic Landing Page Changes Repeatedly
As Effect Digital mentioned, this happens when Google is trying to figure out which page best satisfies the intent behind the search. I would advise checking the rest of the pages that are ranking for the term and see what kind of content these pages have and what intent are they satisfying. You can then see which of the pages on your website are in line with that intent and adjust your on-page SEO elements accordingly. I would also recommend looking into the backlinks pointing to these pages and see which one has the most links in place and take that into consideration when you decide to make any changes.

Backlink Question
Hi! This might answer your question: https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/67654/seo-if-another-website-uses-a-iframe-from-our-website-would-the-links-in-the-i It was a little ambiguous which method you were going to use for the embed code, if you were planning to have others embed via iframe, then the links would be you to you. In that case, it may hurt your site if a more popular site is treated as a canonical and is indexed instead of yours.

How many topics per H2
Ah I get what you are saying! You are wondering whether to write about those pass-through points in your current article (under H2s) or whether to have a completely new article (e.g: "Strasbourg bike tour" as a sub-heading under "Alsace bike tour" vs making it another separate article / post) IMO you could do both, but only once you get enough experience and content. Let's say you had done one bike tour 'from' Alsace and discovered Strasbourg, and then later you had done another separate bike tour 'from' Strasbourg. In that instance, both locations should have a post. In the Alsace post you would mention Strasbourg, but link it over to the 'main' Strasbourg bike tour article If on the other hand you have done a bike tour from Alsace (where you discovered Strasbourg) but you have not yet completed a separate bike tour 'from' Strasbourg, in that case I would H2 it as a sub-topic under your Alsace article Hope that helps

Links Not Detected by MOZ, AHREFS, GSC-ARE THESE QUALITY LINKS?
Hi there I am guessing you are the owner of Metro Manhattan judging by the pattern of the web-pages, in terms of where they are linking to! I think we may have chatted before actually (correct me if I am wrong) https://patch.com/new-york/bayside/bayside-queens-priciest-area-retail-office-space-study This post is indexable on Google. It has really good authority (90/100 domain rating on Ahrefs) and would be a great link, but the link has been no-followed. It doesn't influence Google's rankings at all. Your link shares the URL with other links which also point to other external sources SEO rating: 0/10, as it's no-followed https://qns.com/story/2019/12/04/these-commercial-streets-in-queens-were-among-the-most-expensive-in-2019/ This post is indexable on Google. Solid domain rating on Ahrefs (73/100). You don't share the post with too many other link destinations. The link is followed, so it should count for Google SEO rating: 7.5/10 https://patch.com/new-york/brooklyn/flatbush-ave-priciest-retail-spot-outside-manhattan-study You only posted five links, you'd think your supplier would manage to get five links on different domains, the more links you have from one domain (in a short space of time) the less they matter. Regardless, this link won't count for SEO at all as it's no-followed SEO rating: 0/10, as it's no-followed http://thejewishvoice.com/2019/12/07/nycs-most-expensive-commercial-streets-neighborhoods-in-2019-would-surprise-you/ An average domain rating on Ahrefs of 53, not bad at all. Sadly, your link supplier (not the site owner) 'lied' to you when they said this was one of your backlinks. There are no links from this page to your page. If there's no link at all, how good could the link be? SEO rating: -5/10, as they (your link suppliers, not the owners of Thejewishvoice.com) fibbed to you. Naughty naughty! Evidence screenshot of failing to find link: https://d.pr/i/WfUUgV.png https://atalyst.com/investment-banking-interview-metro-manhattan/ The Ahrefs domain rating for "atalyst.com" is only 16/100, that's not something where you could consider it a 'quality' link in my opinion. The link to Metro Manhattan on this URL is followed, so it does count towards rankings - but load the page and look at it! It's very thin content, I'd go so far as to say it's 'not content' at all. It's an image and a strapline and a link. If you think Google cares about this, you are wrong SEO rating: 2/10, might help a little, but barely at all So now, I have looked at each link and graded it out of 10. The scores were 0, 7.5, 0, -5 and 2. Each link could have scored 10/10, which means our total max possible score is 50 (10 x 5 links) When we add the numbers up, we get 4.5/50, or a 9% rating For something to be considered 'quality', I think it should have to be "50% decent or higher". 9% isn't good enough (IMO)
