Hi I’d recommend trying to manually remove them first by going directly to the webmaster. Failing that you may need to look at using Google’s disavow tool however lately I heard you shouldn’t really use it unless you have a manual action. Hope this helps! Cheers, Casey

I would firstly review whether the content can be touched up to make better use of it. Failing that, I’d 301 redirect all to the homepage/most relevant page on the site. doing this many redirects will not hurt your site from my experience. Best of luck! Cheers, Casey

Hello there! There is no definite answer for your question. It does completely depends on your strategy.  So if your homepage is optimized for one keyword, then when creating backlinks with that kw point them to the home page. Otherwise, use a landing page created specually for that. REMEMBER, google does not want (even, doesnt like) us to create several pages nearly identical just for targetting different keywords that are very similar. Hi Malik, if you have a Pro account try the beta of "Link Explorer" the replacement for Open Site Explorer. This promises to update your links much faster;  in fact it updates each day! Also this allows you to add and track future back link URLs to see when they are discovered to be linked by Moz. If you're not a Pro account holder, hopefully this tool will be available to all soon

At this time, I think that lots of people are seeing shrinkage in the number of links displayed for their pages in Search Console. If you know of some really good links that you had in the past, you might check for them, both on the website that linked to you, and in Search Console. I agree with Keri, not to worry if your site is behaving healthy.

Thanks, Ed. I see your point, but I haven't seen a lot of viral activity when I've guest authored on good sites in the past. So maybe I'll self-publish and try to promote links.  If I don't get any links I can always take the article down and submit it. Any additional thoughts?

Yes, I think this will make it easier for them for sure and should theoretically help your links pick up. If you want to be 100% safe you don't violate any guidelines, just make sure you're not explicitly telling them they have to link back in exchange for product, but you can encourage and if they do on their own free will it should be fine.

You could just use excel and/or google sheets to keep track of your indexed and not indexed urls. It's not very elegant but should work. Here a useful article on the topic.

IF they are sending considerable traffic that leads to conversions then there is a case for keeping them. I would however, also look into why your other domains are considered Spammy and try to rectify this also, that way you can still benefit from greater volumes of traffic, improve all your sites and hopefully grow stronger all around.

I remember when I first started link building, I tried a ton of techniques. Then one day I just went to one of the top 10 websites on Google for a similar term to what I was trying to rank for. But not so similar that we would be considered "competition". I literally just asked him for a link back to my site, and he added it that day. I thought it was the weirdest thing ever, I guess some people are just extremely nice, or don't know how valuable the link they gave was.

It obviously depends on budget and needs. When you're a customer, you want options so you can make an informed decision.

I would seriously consider fixing your redirect chains as they are not helping you at all. I have posted information showing you what happens when somebody tries to go to your sites right now and this could have been because real ones were not implemented correctly, in the beginning, I think so few links it really doesn't matter the thing that matters is picking a. canonical domain and sticking with it. For speed reasons I sincerely like www. I know it's not sexy but whatever. Please try placing your domains into this tool and make sure that only one redirect points to the canonical hostname that you choose.
