What's the best strategy for reducing the number of links on a blog post?
Your domain strength is pretty high, so on your home page and top pages, those navigational links are going to be fine, but you could nofollow the bulk of them on the individual blog pages. You already have the tweet and facebook like buttons that are getting use, but you might be able to add some easy to copy & paste code, similar to a badge, to try and boost inbound links (http://www.seomoz.org/dp/badges). Also, since you have so much content you could try getting a Polyvore-like feature added to your site that helps people make a collage from the different wedding details they like. (http://www.polyvore.com/). I didn't dig too deeply so these are just off-the-cuff examples, but hopefully enough to spark some ideas for you.

Category Pages with Sub-Categories
I think I have it. Yes, tabs could be the answer... unless this is getting too crazy. So, on the front page I will use an image to say "showroom" and make the alt text = "zero turn mowers". Then, beneath that main category I will also include: edgers, blowers, etc... as if they are sub categories (but in reality it will all be links to the 2nd layer if you know what I'm saying). So, basically I will have a page that is optimized for zero turn mowers with this content: /zero-turn-mowers ZERO TURN MOWERS (h1) TORO ZERO TURN MOWERS (1st tab & h2) Description Toro Zero Turn Homeowner (1st inner tab &h3) Mower 1 Mower 2 etc... Toro Zero Turn Commercial (2nd inner tab & h3) Mower 1 Mower 2 etc... GRAVELY ZERO TURN MOWERS (2nd tab and h2) [same structure as Toro] /edgers [repeat structure for edgers 1 page] Although, it is probably too ambitious to go after "zero turn mowers"... I wonder if this double tab structure is bad on page optimization or excellent as this is going to cause me to have a ton of content on each page.

See screenshot: Is this an example of Canonical issue or am I making an error in judgement?
Thanks Alan, I stopped to think because of the canonical tag that everybody now seems to be using for everything everywhere. I like the 301 because I have total control and the operation happens on my server. (I don't have to worry about search engines getting flaky or treating the canonical differently at some date in the future.) So my gut and brain said use the 301... but I was ready for someone to argue for the canonical.

Duplicate Page Content Issue
Use the rel="canonical" tag on these pages. That way you can send all the link juice to the version that you'd rather have rank and then also keep both pages for easier usability/navigation issues.

What does the "base href" meta tag do? For SEO and webdesign?
<base> allows you to set the default attributes for links on the page. For example if I set <base href="http://www.mydomain.com/"> then I can make a link to and it will point to http://www.mydomain.com/mypage.html I believe this magic happens on the web server before the page is sent to the browser, making it a safe practice for SEO.

How to optimize a wordpress blog
Kevin and Eric, Performance issues aside, I prefer the simplest URL structure: http://sitename/postname Unless you really need advanced categorization, siloing, etc., bringing your content up one level and having shorter URLs is always better, IMO.

Number of links in breadcrumb
As mentioned, a "flat architecture" is measured by how many clicks away pages are from the home page. You could put everything in the main directory and still have pages that require 10 clicks to get to, or have files within 7 folders that are linked to from the homepage. That said, a logical hierarchy will make the most sense to you and your users.

Original content and the Google Panda Update
I meant to say that there is of course the added benefit of good products descriptions for the customers. Thanks for the reply and the real life example

URL structure for a new WordPress site
If the keyword being targeted is french translation services then assuming everything else on the page being equal the second option would be better as by virtue of its name it is telling the search engines that the page is about french translation services rather than french services. SEO tools can be great to automate tasks and highlight issues by quickly checking across entire sites but they are only as good as the information input into them which may not be up to date, may be an individuals interpretation of best practices etc. As such relying 100% on the output of an SEO plugin may not give optimal results. It is worth querying, checking and keeping an eye on any recommendations provided by them to see if they feel right given your accumulating SEO knowledge.

Duplicate page title and content
If you must have a seperate page for each product rather than the 16G/32G options then you may be able to describe them differently rather than cut an past the text. There are many ways to talk about the features of a given product. Alternatly, are you able to use an opening page to to talk about the specific features of the iPhone and branch to the version the customer wants to purchase?

Duplicate Content
If you won't noindex your category pages, my best suggestion is to add unique content to the home page - split out the content so it shows the X most recent article titles & snippets, and separately (to the side of it or above or below it) have unique home page only content - a good couple paragraphs of it should help.

Breadcrumb links
I would not say they are more valued than any other kind of link but they do provide some distinct benefits and opportunities. when people land on the page from a web search, it provides a simple tool and a convention no less for anchoring yourself within the hierarchy of the site and navigating back a level depending on the source ordering it can often be the first link to the parent pages so can be used for keyword rich anchor text (where natural to do so) it can be some of the first text on the page so it provides a natural way to get your keywords (product name etc) at the beginning of the page which can also help Generally it is a good way to get your keywords on the page again without having to worry about working them into the body text in a natural way (which is not always possible) So, in summary, they are good for users, good for SEO (internal linking, keywords, relevancy) and they can help improve the format of your listing in the SERPs so... what's not to like? Hope it helps! Marcus
