  • Consider moving these identical, but different size items to a single page.

  • Hi Victoria - I'd agree with Kane. You won't be penalised but you probably won't get much value for these pages. It's a good idea to link to the original publisher to be on the safe side.

  • You could put a small "latest news section" on the HP. Or just select on the specific page a more frequent update setting on your sitemap. Should get it crawled quicker.

  • Thanks Dan. I use Yoast's Wordpress SEO. It's a great plugin. I have the author archive disabled.

  • As Saijo has answered here, it is perfectly fine to have the same posts in multiple categories. It will be useful to define how you want your site architecture/ hierarchy of categories beforehand, for example, whether you want to place the brand at a higher level than the product type or vice versa, or for that matter keep both of them at the same level. This really depends on how you are positioning the site.

  • good news, the content has been removed. i contacted the website they did not reply and contacted the person the website was working for and told them we would take legal action as we have done this before. they replied and have instructed the website to take down the content. now a question. shall i still contact the hosting company and tell them what has been going on so the site is closed as it seems they are dong this to other people. this company behind the website is working for a hypnotherapist by building links and driving traffic to the site, would love to know who the company is. through checking i have found yesterday that the same company had taken a large number of content from us but now they have all vanished. this is very wrong and i am just wondering if the hypnotherapy company knew what was going on or not? this company seems to have different websites building links pretending it is fresh content. would be interested to know more about them and what they have been charging to steal our content

  • You should be able to pick a vanity URL if you go into your basic information settings and go to Username.  I would call it something that is descriptive of your business but as short as you can get. /Weight-Loss or /WeightLoss or something like that. I would also recommend adding a cover photo.https://www.facebook.com/help/search/?q=cover+photo

  • There must be some content build up. Im not just throwing in some blogposts of course - and im carefully monitoring and helping with re-writing etc - so it become a interesting blogpost. That is the idea. And blogpost is just a subpage as any other subpage, so instead of just having the site static (as most travel related sites are often) then we are at least writing a blog to a subpage with relevant inner linking - and then some external sites pointing to each subpage. I have at least used it on one of my sites and got it into a rank nr 1 on google for the niche at hand (with over 3000 visitors seaching per month for keyword) in some 15 days - so I dont see why this isnt working. It has kept in the 1-3 seat for 6 months now with almost no more work. So now it just want to use the same methodology on other sites as well and create some interesting blogposts that both get social attention, backlinks etc etc - I just dont know how to set this all up for it to work with sitemaps, ga etc

  • Thank you for the quick reply.  Quick question, do you know where I can find out more about the guidelnes on link/nonlink content ratio?  Any resources or articles that you could recommend would be appreciated. Eric

  • Thanks for the information.  I will check out People per Hour.  I have used guru.com and elance.com, but wanted other places to find good people.

  • Thanks John, really looking for examples that I can learn from. Heard a lot of assurances that content marketing is the way to go, I'm now looking for concrete examples. Can anybody share?

  • Yup.  They're going to increase clicks and they are also good internal links.  They likely help the search engines figure out what those pages are about.

  • I think the page looks pretty good.  My only concern is that the thumbnail images on the right are all skewed.  I'm not sure how you'd fix this - perhaps by using timthumb?
