I have a question about content
You have the right idea with internal linking just don't over optimize the anchor text from your blog to your site. As for content ideas your moving tips is a good start. I would also focus on getting customer reviews to help your local seo. Get either google places, trustpilot, or yelp reviews. Other ideas could be moving nightmares to avoid, average cost of a move, moving scams, how to pack for a move, etc. The more creative you get the better results you will have. I highly recommend doing at least one info graphic per month.

Recommendation for Geotheme or other directory plugins / themes
Just to let you know...I can not recommend that theme. I have purchased and tested it. For a quick install of a directory it is not bad but the customization is really a no go. I prefer WP Types+Views+CRED now for a directory. It is a little bit of work to set it up but it works afterwards perfectly.

I wrote this blog, now what can I do?
Honestly Paul when it comes to infographics, I'd concentrate on them only if you think "yes - this would definitely work" or if you have the time to give to it. There's no point, especially now, doing a half-hearted one. Finding those bloggers can be tricky, but there are a couple of great tools to help you. Moz's own Fresh Web Explorer and Followerwonk can help search blogs and twitter profiles for key terms. I'm a fan of IceRocket as well, which also searches blogs. You could also find a few listed on Technorati. As for Glamour - for sure, they may not be that keen. The flip-side is that you're pretty much a free marketing channel for them (you do the marketing yourself) and so a quick contribution to give the post gravitas could be appealing. Doesn't have to be glamour either of course, could be anyone on the list. You could also mention the research on marketing blogs by helping to contribute to them. My Blog Guest is another avenue to find certain kinds of blogs.

Embed WordPress blog into site or /blog?
Good to put into your code so when Google comes it will see it as one. The comment of Joram is correct and a very good option! Would like to know what is the site? Then I can look to it. Success

Same content on site blog as a separate blog. Will unpublishing on one blog evade duplicate content issues?
Deleting the duplicate posts works. If the post has to be kept in two places you could use rel="canonical" tag to let Google know which is the original version.

Is paid content a good or bad thing
Thanks mememax, I see what you mean, now. The site I was talking about was a nice-looking news site, and a few years ago, I would have written about them, and I still may, but I'm not going to link to them, because that might suck me into a bad-link vortex, and I've got enough troubles of my own, so I don't want to add to them. (not that I've ever paid for any incoming links, but "something" else is wrong, that nobody seems to be able to diagnose.)

Duplicate page issue all from my website blog. How to i fix?
Check out the SEOMoz Help section: "Duplicate Page Content Duplicate Content means there are pages that are identical (or nearly identical) to content on other pages of your site, which can force your pages to unnecessarily compete with each other for rankings. Here are some things you can do about duplicate pages: Delete content that is similar on each page. Add some new and unique content to each page that is on the report. This can be done by adding more information, ideas, product descriptions, or anything that can make it differ from other pages on the domain. You can also add a rel=canonical to one of the duplicate pages. Keep in mind that that canonicals will stop the pages from ranking against each other, but they will still show up as duplicate content from a UI perspective, so we will still count them as duplicate."

When Search for Blog Guest and to Post, What is the FIRST Metric to lookk at???
That's a pretty solid method, but I think you need to look at a few more things at the same time. I don't think it's completely safe to look at just 1 metric. PA and DA is a good one - but look at how many outbound links are on the homepage, particularly if they have a blogroll. If I see a blog that looks like it's selling text links in the blog roll or footer, I don't want to post there because the blog could find itself deindexed. If you have a link from a deindexed site, it could harm your rankings. I'd also look at social media metrics and comment count. Whenever I guest blog, I want to make sure I'm posting for an active, engaged audience - links are secondary to this. Maybe look at the first 5 blog posts and count how many comments they all have. Maybe look for blogs with at least 3 comments in the first 5 posts. There are a number of other things to consider as well, such as checking if the site is in a bad neighbourhood, but for a quick check of a lot of potential blogs, I think PA, Outbound links and comments are a good place to start. Before posting, however, I'd always check the rest of the metrics.

In Index but not in Serps
Thanks Matt - appreciate the reply. Robots.txt are fine and I've check with other tools that the individual posts are not being blocked by robots. WMT checks out fine too though the Crawl Rate is set to : Your site has been assigned special crawl rate settings. You will not be able to change the crawl rate. Though the craw chart is indicating lots of crawling each day. I do wonder about that crawl rate setting though. The site is using CloudFlare for speed optimisation and I believe that is a common occurrence when using CloudFlare. I'll check out Screaming Frog though.....good idea. Thanks again.

In light of the Interflora advertorials debacle where do you think bloggers stand with regard to product reviews?
I thought it was a nice public slap on the wrist without severely damaging a brand that probably should be on page one. It got the message out loud and clear and I would imagine that the papers are going to be much more careful. You're right with regard to the error, but it's not the first time that the Chrome marketing team may have made an error with how they went about their business. To someone with a traditional marketing background I'm sure it seemed very innocuous, which was largely the problem with interflora anyway I suppose.

Duplicate content penalty
All good ideas. Another way which we've used that works is to add either of these two tags in your section of each page the reproduce the blogger's articles on your site: this basically says, don't index this page and don't follow any links from this page this tells search engine robots that it's ok to follow the links from this page, but don't index the page One other option is to have one page on your site that hosts a feed from the blog (using something like FeedBurner) and then apply one of the above tags to just that page. Then you don't ever have to worry about creating new pages each time the blogger posts. Hope this helps!
