Will having duplicate content on four websites cause a problem?
Hi Tom, Are they on the same server and linking to each other? If so, then just canonical them. Im also assuming from what you said that it's just a few pages so it shouldn't be any problem. That, or just edit the pages a wee bit. If they are on different servers and practically can't be traced to be related to each other, then I wouldn't even worry about it. Just being practical.

Is there an upper bound on the number of links an url might get in a day?
Google have their own internal metrics about what they feel to be natural or not. It is very popular for sites these days to have an article on it go viral and seem to be an unusual pattern. They are prepared for that, if the pattern looks unnatural then it will be easy for a robot to detect. If that pattern is then replicated multiple times for multiple pieces it becomes very suspect. If you do not have a shady past, ie, recovered penguin site, or lots of dodgy links already then its highly unlikely to trigger anything even if the links were in the tens of thousands. If its natural it will be easy to observe even by a robot. There is no upper limit to something going viral. Worst case scenario if it points to an internal page, Google's John Mueller says you can simply 404 the page and all links pointing to that page will simply not count any more. Although if affected by a penalty as a result will still be a long painful task for recovery as you will need to wait for the algorithm to refresh to be re-included. But its more likely that the single page of content would be hit by penguin rather than the whole site anyway.

Duplicate Content - Joint Press Releases
Sarita, this is why there is the possibility of canonical tags. More info about canonicalization: learn through moz.com When you have written the item and share it through any kind of software or partner I would suggest publishing the original first with a canonical tag to your own site, then sending it to the rest and asking them to include the same canonical tag. That way you should be doing fine. Regards Jarno

Country domain but multi-language
Great response, thank you. In short, .nl .com and such dont make a huge difference in ranking. but probably in CTR due to the fact that a english user is in basis not trusting, or not preferring the .nl domain over a .com. Although this is nowadays less important but still the case. Splitting 2 domains would split the DA as well. thats true. Hard decisions.

Why is my DA 1?!
Harriet, It looks like you're doing a good job maintaining a posting schedule but I'd say that with your broad topics, you may be biting off more than you can chew, as far as defining and speaking to a target audience. If your blog doesn't have an audience that is engaged enough to comment on posts and share post content with others, authority for the domain will remain low. Your posts cover topics from home decor/accessories to dating, to makeup, to gyms, to love, to wishlists and there's no doubt that these topics easily fall within the realm of health and beauty and are relevant to a broad audience. But authority and pagerank are about audience engagement and links, which are hard to get unless you're able to communicate on a intimate level with your audience. Big time publishers with staffs of writers are better able to do that on the scale of diverse topics that you are attempting. I recommend choosing a core topic that may overlap into the various areas that you like to write about but which, by itself, is far less competitive and far more focused. Focus on you, for example. Focus on what makes you interesting and then on how dating, gyms, love, wishlists, decor each/all make you more interesting to those you wish will find you interesting. You're much more likely to gain authority like that.

How do I find the most popular questions being searched in my industry?
Look at Google Trends, Quora, Yahoo Answers, keyword tools that get from Google Instant are also good. Find forums. Look at Reddit (add /top/?t=all at the end to check out the most popular posts)

How Are You Handling Blog Posts/Author Pages when Employees Leave the Company?
Yeps we do the same thing, they won't have access anymore in our CMS so we'll include on their author bio that the editor has left the company and what company they went to work for. In some cases in their new job they also want to contribute and that leaves their (old) content still as it was.

Loads of Blog Search Results showing up in SERPs - What's the best way to remove?
Removing them through GWMT won't do you much good, I believe. Google will re-crawl your site and re-index them. Do the URLs contain specific query parameters? If so, you can tell Google to ignore URLs with specific queries and that should prevent them from being indexed. GWMT > Crawl > URL Parameters

Not sure I understand the question... ...but here is a case study I worked on. The goal was to convince people my client could handle pretty much everything. You can read other case studies on the home page at www.lingualinx.com

Text to HTML Ratio
I agree with both but even so, it's not nice to cut a metric from tools if it's not wrong info, cause people who can comprehend the difference could deal with that.

Best way to handle blogs for a customer with a chain business?
In a situation like this it is very difficult in my opinion. One thing I was unclear on, does the client own the brand, or are they just a franchisee? That makes a bit of difference as to what I would suggest.
