What is a good amount of social shares per week / day?
In my experience, a baseline number of shares is completely reliant on the content being shared. The type of content is also indicative of the network it will be shared on. For example: We get more shares from Linkedin when we produce "professional" content. We get more Facebook shares when we share time wasting content. Sorry I could not be more specific. I would be happy to help if you are more specific about your brand/ target market.

Internal linking for small site
Why not make a Nother navigation bar called Q&A or frequently asked questions something similar to that tips. And set of adding to the length which could be hard to click on some mobile devices. I honestly do not think that you're going to get much more out of your website by no following good links on your site for instance if those webpages are going to get any information at all pointing to them or anything links pointing to them it'll all be wasted. So I don't really believe the fishbowl effect is necessary for this type of thing. A great resource I found for very technical questions is this one right here. http://www.distilled.net/u/ To make a long answer short I would not no follow or no index I would simply add on another category called tips or questions FAQ whatever you like. I also agree with SEO consultant that is never a good idea to build sites with search engines in mind you should always do it with the customer or user. I hope this is of help sincerely, Thomas

Guest Blogging - Spread about or stick to a few?
Thanks Brent, that is good to know. I think I'll probably limit it to 2 - 3 guest posts per external site. I wonder if my idea of using PDF and / or embeding youtube version would at all be relevant to Alan's query here...http://moz.com/community/q/in-2013-is-guest-blogging-a-worthwhile-activity I think that Google doesn't crawl PDF's and that you can have a certain % of the same text before it is considered duplicate content, ala all of my guest blogs on a webpage of my site as PDF downloads with only contextual keyword subject titles and short descriptions onsite. I have found free useful stuff on ones own site helps with link building.

What's up with Yahoo and Bing in my keyword rankings?
We usually don't delete questions, but leave them here so other people can learn. And no worries about gaming the hug system.

What do you consider a good Global Exact Match for a key word?
Thanks for your input. I can see SEO really is an ongoing thing that you finetune. Unfortunately I don't think I can track conversions as I don't sell direct, I can get as far as "prospect" (i.e. when someone clicks through to a retailer where my book can be bought). I can't compete with Amazon and other retailers for their free delivery and worldwide reach, so I link to retailers who buy them wholesale from me and they sell my products. I'm new to this so I don't have any real data. If at best I can rely on "prospect" I think I will calculate my costs for minimum 1% conversion on all marketing on the assumption that all are from within prospects %, and work my way up from there. I have already sold 100 copies with pracitally no marketing so that's a good sign I guess. Have yet to sort out webmaster tools as I thought it would be best to do my on page first. Good point about profit vs conversion rate, I have a losing BingYahoo! PPC campaign at the moment (probably downsizing or closing down soon) and have thought it would be better if I sold Motorbikes and Mopeds or maybe Ferarris and Yatchs rather than books on PPC !
