Anyone using Yahoo Small Business? Not sure if SEOmoz works with YahooSB
Hey Mike It's not so much a case of the titles not 'being indexed' or read but more to do with how they display in the search engine result pages (SERPs). If your page is long, then the title is going to be cut off. Also, the general goal is to have your keywords at the beginning of the title to get the most bang for your buck. Specifics depend on the site but it is nice to have the page title like the title of a book and consider your site as the author. Have it short, punchy but descriptive and also state the author so: Small Business SEO Packages | BowlerHat.co.uk is better than Do better in the search engines with small business SEO packag.. Your title has one job to do: describe the page in a way that search engines and users can understand. So, if the description of the page is done by Yahoo in a sub optimal way then yeah, it will hurt your ranking and it will negatively affect the amount of people that click on the link when it is displayed. Back Link: Is LinkedIn keywords in profile good Link building strategy?
I think the general consensus would be to write your social media profiles to appeal to your audience (good copy etc) rather than search engines. With that said, I think it's really good practice to be consistent across all your social media profiles, the addition of keywords in your profiles will produce 'synergy' across all your SEO efforts. Those bots are getting smarter!

How to get better URL description when ranking #3
The short answer is that you write the description when you advertise via Google Adwords. You will enter the description into Google Adwords when you setup your ad(s). I agree with AWCthreads - you should either spend a lot of time learning about Google Adwords, or you should hire a firm with experience (PM if you're interested in how we can help you in this regard).

Part Number Variations 10-10-55-P or 101055p
My opinion is that using two different variations of the same keyword in the title does not qualify as keyword stuffing. However, I would suggest that you include the part name, too, like: Part 101055, Gasket For Yamaha 2030 | 10-10 55 Just because some people may search for the part by name, and it is more descriptive.

Will ranking be improved or hurt by changing 1/5 of part numbers to key words
red-widget-123 is treated exactly the same was as red widget 123. No need to worry on the difference between dashes and spaces as google treats them the same. My hunch with your product as with all other products I have ever managed is that search volume for redwidget123 is non-existent. If someone is looking for the nordictrack x7 black incline trainer for example, not a soul searches blackinclinetrainerx7. I don't think you will have a problem there and should not optimize for any possible spelling/typing mistakes because they happen so infrequently. If this non-dashed and non-spaced term is searched frequently, there is no harm in adding it to your title as it is all one word and not repeating the same phrase again.

Yahoo Store, Is Name ranked higher that headline?
I'm going to say title is the <title>tag in the <head> section and headline means <h1> tag, is that correct? If so, the most important place to have your keywords on the page are in your <title> tag. If I had the choice of having an ok title and a great h1 tag or a great title and no h1 tag, I take the great title and no h1 tag. The most important thing you can do is optimize your title tag for your keywords, so see what the name is and what the headline is. See if either one changes the <title> tag and focus on that one, that's the really important element.</p></title>

Is ranking hurt by slow moving product
I think you're getting into what Google can know or not know territory; especially if you're dealing with different SKUs. If you're both working the same keyword though, and his CTR is higher that probably will have an effect. The original scenario of 'not much traffic' is different from this though, since you're implying that there is traffic, but it's being split into multiple types. If you're going with 'solid gold widget' and he's got 'plastic widget' and the latter is getting more traffic/clicks, then it may have an effect on the base 'widget' term relevance.

Title Page Two Long Still shows
Hi Mike, The crawl in your PRO campaign is different from Linkscape, and in fact updates each week. I took at look into your campaign and it looks like although the errors have decreased, many of the longer title tag warnings were still there. These warnings are issued any time the <title>tag runs over 70 characters. If you use the <a href="http://www.seomoz.org/seo-toolbar">MozBar</a>, you can use the on-page analysis to automatically verify the number of characters.</p> <p>If you have any questions, feel free to send me a private message if you don't want to share your info publicly. You can also ask a private Q&A question of contact the help team at help@seomoz.org.</p> <p>Best of Luck!</p></title>

Landing page too long
I see a few other new members need to clarify there questions. It must be a new member thing? I sell B2B industrial products. I have 300 products on the site. Some products are seldom purchased and the brand name is not significant for these products and your great input will lead me to change their title to the function rather than the part number. Thanks. If the title page is the right wording and length, and there is a valid product widget -1-1-1 but nobody has bought one in 5 years due to it being a niche product, but they could and it's a profitable sale. Question: Is** overall site rankin**g being hurt by valid content ( Description, Part # and Price and it can be checked out in the cart), but is is never/seldom searched for.?

Yahoo small business host has two web sites and confuses the spiders
I'd put both URLs (the www and non-www) into OpenSiteExplorer and see which has the better stats in terms of rank and inlinks, then redirect to that version of the site.
