On our website http://villasdiani.com we have in main menu 3 categories+1 category which scrolls down, and 2 pages.

In order to avoid duplicate we have set categories non index. Is it not a problem that in main menu of the website are categories which are set non-index?

There are as well 2 pages of which 1 is contact page which is also set on non-index and the second is Favorites page where visitor can view properties they liked and is also set on non index.

I will appreciate any help

I would like to ask if somebody know what is the best way to embed video on home page. I read that google does not read i frame.

Also it is a problem if i have featured video on home page with link to post where is again the same video?

Also it is not a problem if I plan to be changing the videos on the home page in period of the time 1-2months?

Also, people can embed video from there, is this not a problem?

Thank you very much, I mean I have a post with links pointing to other posts on my website. Now I will redirect the post by using yoast seo plugin. I have created the same post with new permalink and with same links pointing to post on my website. My question is if should I remove the links pointing to posts on my website from the original post which is now redirected to the new one?

Thank you very much Baldea! Perfectly explained!  Could it be also some kind of invisible link from his website(so as we do not steel his clients-we are kind of competition) but still get valuable link for our rank? You know what I mean, that the wolf is full and red hut is alive...

Recently we did some job for our friend who promised us link from his page for to ours. His page is very well ranking for key word we try to rank as well and has good authority.

What would be a good link for our website to get from his in order to help us to rank better but still did not steel his traffic?

These are really good points, Although we have paid vimeo channel where we have videos of properties, which are also on our website, we have also few post with youtube video. I will remove them.

I have to change few permalinks on wordpress website and I am using yoast seo plugin to redirect the links. My question is should I keep links on the original post or should I delete them.

Would it be good SEO practice to place a video on the home page? http://villasdiani.com Right in the middle of the home page is a text about Villas Diani, I would like to remove it and rather place there always one of our newest videos which will start play once somebody lands there.

As we are the only one of our competitor who has also videos of property rentals I would like to make out of it an advantage for our website which is not ranking:-(

I am very new to seo and I am very scared to do such move which might even worsen all:-(

This is really helpful info! The issue with th sitemap is actually strange because webmaster tools does index it but it seems to vary, sometimes it says 'no sitemap submitted' and sometimes it is fully indexed, I had this for one of the many quirky characteristics of WT, I hope including a link in the footer will solve this.

The only part I am not fully certain about is to set paginated pages to no index, since the theme uses the archive template for custom post types, wouldn't this mean that all posts on page 2 - 3 , etc would no longer be indexed?

Our sitemap is generated by the Yoast SEO plugin and is located on http://villasdiani.com/sitemap_index.xml, is this a good practice? I have noticed lots of web analysis not finding this sitemap, should there be a link to it from the homepage or footer?

Yes I think the title tags on rentals pages must be generated automatically (I think it creates an H2 tag for each title) but I have no idea to prevent it from doing so or setting the main descriptive keyword, any pointer in the right direction to get this done would be highly appreciated

In Yoast seo plugin, under the general settings is Sitewide meta settings,under which there is an option to either check or leave unchecked Noindex subpages of archives which says: If you want to prevent /page/2/ and further of any archive to show up in the search results, enable this.

I am very confuse if to check or not. What is the best seo practice? Most of our posts are in categories which have 2-4 pages.

So, meanwhile I have found out that the Nginx isW3 total  cache but I do not understand what is the problem with it:-( why is it redirecting my website content?

On my website http://villasdiani.com I have in main navigation menu Vills and Hotels which are both categories, when I open them they open archives. Why those are archives and when I open other categories like Kenya news there are regular posts and no archives?

My husband developed that site but has no clue what is wrong and has given up and said me I should deleted it completely:-(  I am already 4 months learning SEO in order to fix this site. Some time ago I have created a category which I have deleted later. Now seomoz is showing me that its not found, obviously...what would be the best practice to redirect this category to a page? I know that with 301, but how, can I do it when I deleted that category:-(
