If the removal of the low quality links does'nt work from your side, you could also use disavow ( https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/disavow-links-main ) > you have to be logged in into google for this feature.

RE: Hi anyone please help I use this code but now getting 404 error. please help.
Carefull with what your doing. I think you should revert in the first place if your not setting up a 301 moved status. Because of that, you could lose the (indexed) rankings for your index.html page. What you can do is a manual redirect, i.e
redirect 301 /index.html /
This moves (including the ranks) the index.html page back to / the root of your domain. You could also setup a canonical URL > https://moz.com/learn/seo/canonicalization

RE: Does changing text content on a site affects seo?
1: If done right and google picks it up as it should you should see some gains for just updating your website.
2: you only have to submit a sitemap if you made physical changes to your website structure and pages, meaning that if you have'nt changed any of that you dont need to. A sitemap is just an index on how your website related to pages looks like.
3: See answer one.

RE: Can anyone tell me why my site DA is not increasing?
10 days? Dude, it can take weeks months for the links to be found.
-
RE: Google has discovered a URL but won't index it?
My advice is, start listing more reviews! It will be picked up by google automaticly. You gotta be a bit more patient. New websites take awefully alot of time to be indexed.
I had a domain of 10+ years of age, replaced it's website, within one day completely reindexed. I have new domains, they can take up to weeks or even a month to be indexed. It's normal.

RE: How much time does it takes for a backlink to get registered in Google? My basketball anime website has been live since start of this week and Google has not registered any backlink.
For a link to be indexed, it needs to be found first. Moz and Google are not the same. And they dont really share their data, as google is sometimes less consistent in the found links compared to Moz or a hrefs. New websites take some time, perhaps up to 4 weeks before you anything at all. Have patience.

RE: Meta Description for ALL my Posts is Being Overwritten!
Yes and by removing that shortcode you completely remove the description from the blog. But a description is'nt something google takes into account alot now these days. It can actively read the content on your website or page, and align that within search. I mean i have sites that are completely ignored due to the description tag.
It's like meta name keywords all over again.
@Naturalsociety, if you switch the theme to something temporarily, does it appear back again? If so; you have a theme issue.

RE: How to decrease the spam score of website ?
Check your incoming links. They are pretty much the cause to building up a spam score or not. Low quality links with no real usage are the ones to look for. Buying you a subscription is'nt going to magically improve your website. It needs work. Moz provides the tools!

RE: How to work on spam score.
Do you want more or less, spam? Check the incoming "spam" considered links, and judge if you need to remove 'm or not. A bit of spam "score" is'nt hurting. Having 20k low quality links pounding on various keywords is.

RE: Hi anyone please help I use this code but now getting 404 error. please help.
Could you tell us what you are trying to archieve in the first place? Your script proberly wont work, because domain.com is'nt replaced with your own domain, second it's code is only valid for HTTP instead of https, so to work with what we have here, try this:
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /index.html\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^index.html$ https://generalapplianceservice.ca/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} .html
RewriteRule ^(.*).html$ /$1 [R=301,L] -
RE: Targeted keywords in top half of the page or through out the page?
Keywords are'nt used anymore. Your better off putting a intro like this:
Some keyword - open daily
Blablabla interesting story about our service, come get your "Some keyword" today
. The best way really is not to spam it, rather put it elegant and keep within the 5% of optimisation when writing text.

RE: Google has discovered a URL but won't index it?
Perhaps the content on those 42 pages or so is alot copy content based? Or pages that really dont matter to be up in search?

RE: How to check why our DA is gradually dropping
Yep. There's alot of spam related posts going on on these forums. there's a flag button next to it to mark it.

RE: How to check why our DA is gradually dropping
Dont get me wrong; if i spam a domain my DA/PA would be artifically high while getting zero traffic in Google because i'm penalised. It's not a good rule of thumb really to just go blind from DA/PA.
-
RE: How to check why our DA is gradually dropping
it's misleading, the DA. And in no way a representation of how google values it. Lets say i have a domain that's bin spammed all over the place. In theory the DA should be very high, but because of the penalty's google gave it, the value means absolutely nothing.

RE: Search visibility of website that only uses H2 tags - will not having H1 damage my visibility?
Obviously. But from my experience there was'nt really an upside to it. Basicly saying i might as well create a website with only H2 instead of the H1 till H6.

RE: How to check why our DA is gradually dropping
Then the work of that SEO company is a very bad performed job. I often see this; they have a zillion blogs and url's that they use to quickly boost links with kind of the gamble for it to go "right". Often it's not going right and because of the sheer low quality or badly marked neighbourhood your getting the opposite of what your expecting to have.
If i was you, cancel it, put the links in disavow, before more damage is being done really. The reason why i say is because DA/PA links in general dont mean nothing. I can give you a perfect example that even a PA/DA3 domain related link can be more powerfull if the content and relevance is high enough compared to a PA/DA50 domain that has nothing todo with your website or topic in general.
Second; it's always good to have a mix of quality links from various pages. Blogs, start page's, generic info pages and so on. Not just the whole package coming from blogs that advertise (proberly) cheap or spammy keywords. Problem with often SEO companies from india or whatsoever is that they do a terrible job. And i often get to cleanup such websites. You'd be suprised the damage it did.
Remember, PA/DA is a metric designed and maintained by both MOZ and A HREFS. They really dont mean anything towards the algorithm of Google. Pagerank is dead.

RE: Search visibility of website that only uses H2 tags - will not having H1 damage my visibility?
Hi Sean.
We tested this on a website that recieves 1500 clicks a day by google. We waited pretty much months and saw no difference in "performance". Read my initial response to this:

RE: Not Showing Up On Local?
Try to gain some local backlinks from local, relevant websites.
