Considering which agency to choose for a link building campaign is starting to seem like beating a dead horse.......
Yeah, keep shopping for sure. In fact, forget about shopping for a while and define exactly what it is you need to help you get the results you are going after. If you are looking at straight up link building companies that are primarily focused on the sledgehammer approach and their own link profiles are shady then.... it does not say much for their approach. Fact is, that whilst Google are cracking down, there is still a hell of a lot of manipulation going on and many of the top results are there due to the link building they are doing. But, we can't count on this for much longer and a quality approach with longevity in mind should alway be the order of the day for any serious business with long term goals. My advice would be to do some more analysis, review the competition in earnest, know what you need and what you want and go shopping with a much better idea of what you need.

According to 1 of my PRO campaigns - I have 250+ pages with Duplicate Content - Could my empty 'tag' pages be to blame?
What kind of pages are they? Is it something you can code your CMS/Cart/etc to auto populate with relevant content? The seomoz bot will automatically take notice of any changes on its next crawl.

Backlinks go to "example.com" our homepage is "example.com/default.html" am I losing internal link power?
Depending on how example.com is redirected to example.com/default.html you may be losing some "power" through the redirect. A easy fix would be to simply make your example.com/default.html act as though its example.com through .htaccess

Link Building Post Penguin?
In our industry we have noticed a lot of competitors have been creating info sites and plugging them with content, then linking back to the site they want to push higher in rankings. You are really lucky that these guys are not so smart. When they build an info site with a store you better start prayin'.

When I look in OpenSiteExplorer, it says that it hasn't followed any of my internal links... WTF?
Hi Tyler, It looks like you might have been viewing the internal links for www.ontracparts.com only. If you view internal links for any page on the root domain you will see there are 13 listed. It looks like the report is accurate. It may not reflect some of the recent changes, but we should be seeing a new Mozscape update soon. It's scheduled for the 27th so you may see the information change after that. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks, Joel.

Curating Content. used to avoid, but now i'm having second thoughts
It depends what kind of curation you want to do with how Google will treat it. Are you creating a link list? Are you showing a quick blurb with your opinion? Are you re-publishing the article? For the first two, you're creating somewhat original content, and I wouldn't worry too much. (Though make sure to add your opinion on the second option.) On the third one, you can use rel=canonical to get around duplicate content.

New to seomoz, scared to death after last update
You should also consider getting listed on some of the SEOmoz directories. For instance the Better Business Bureau passes a lot of PR.
